I have used magnesium supplementation to assist getting to sleep and it seems to work well for this. Stabilising my metabolism is another function of it I was not aware of. So thanks for filling me in.
Personally I'd recommend Magnesium oil...I shower then lather the oil on for maybe 10-15min (a bit itchy) then rinse off. Very relaxing and much more concentrated than your typical Epsom salt bath. As for supplements I've heard Magnesiun threonate is very effective in that it can cross the blood-brain barrier unlike most other forms. My 2cents.
@@samirnarvekar8488 I feel hypoglycemic when I eat histamine food or food that I am allergic to. I think it might have something to do with cytokines. I've been searching for answers for 45 years but no doctors have been able to help me.
Hello I had to go to ER many, many times for magnesium deficiency….potassium deficiency soon followed. I ended up having to take large amounts of magnesium & potassium supplements a day in order to stay out of the ER(400mg mag x3 & 10meq potassium 3 X day BUT the supplements are only keeping the lab numbers a point above “low”…it dips under at times which is crazy to me). I have been gaining weight & cannot lose & just got diagnosed as insulin resistant. Could insulin resistance have been the cause of the magnesium deficiency in the first place? I am frustrated that several docs have either ignored these deficiencies and/or cannot explain why the deficiencies happened in the first place. The strange part is I had perfect labs most of my life(except Hashimotos/hypothyroidism); after gallbladder removal a quick & easily fixed potassium deficiency came on. Approx 3 yrs later the magnesium deficiency hit. The only kidney issues I’ve ever had happened after total thyroidectomy in which my parathyroids were damaged…I no longer make calcium & extremely high doses (muscles became frozen all over & I had hungry bone syndrome ) my kidney function dropped to 14%…and then 7%😩 The kidney function slllooowwlly got up over 50% and now I’m up to 80%🎉. The magnesium & potassium deficiencies hit long before the TT & kidney issues. I am now back at square one; can insulin resistance be the cause of the mineral deficiencies & even w/diet/exercise nothing helps. At wits end. Thank you so much for the very informative video; I’m def subbing.😀(p.s. alkaline phosphate? Is always high…is this something to be concerned about)?
Sounds like a very complicated and frustrating story. Eish ! The short answer...... insulin resistance most definitely can contribute to magnesium deficiency. But your body chemistry has taken some serious knocks. Gallbladder removal is a big deal from a metabolic perspective. I know the medical fraternity does not necessarily see it as such. But it is. Bile acids and a couple of other hormones play a big role in glucose metabolism. Here is a link th-cam.com/video/blEfu_iIKjk/w-d-xo.html The loss of thyroid and damage to parathyroid, will also have big impacts. So blaming insulin resistance for all the troubles, might be a little unfair. The other troubles could be to blame for insulin resistance. And probably are. The more a dive into the story of insulin resistance, the more convinced I am, insulin is not necessarily the instigator of the trouble, he is just as much the victim. Know this doesn't help your situation........

Thanks for sharing!
Very informative and nice presentation. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
What about epsom salt baths?
There is evidence that they are absorbed through the skin - so can be beneficial.

My 2cents.
I took a magnesium supplement but it made me feel hypoglycemic. I eat Brazil nuts (one of the nuts that doesn't bother me) and broccoli
Brazil nuts and broccoli would both be good sources of magnesium.
Mg should not make anybody hypoglycemic unless he/she is taking hypoglycemic agents like prescription drugs.

A lot of confusion of facts. Is this from the government?
That's a vague statement
