Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, the #1 show in late night, where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more. Featuring bandleader Louis Cato and “THE LATE SHOW band,” the Peabody Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated show is broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015. - บันเทิง
I need Colbert and Oliver to host a show together where they just roast each other and international politics the entire time
Dude I came here to say the exact same thing. These 2 are brilliant together. They play off eachother. They complement eachother on stage. This is the dynamic duo that needs their very own damn show. Or at least a podcast. They could talk about anything and I would still subscribe.
Take my money and make it happen
CBS. DOOOOO IIIIIT
@@summerbrewster5555 thank you for spelling “complement” correctly! 😄 Most of the internet confuses it with “compliment.”
Yesssss. That would be amazing. Add some snarky call ins from Jon Stewart and you have the singularity.
I love that John truly never fails to address the horror show that is the history of England and “I don’t want to get into why”
John: "Indian food is incredibly popular in England and _I won't even get into why."_
Steven: "We have to take a bit of a break..."
John: "Yes please, save me from this situation I've gotten myself into."
But… *why* though? (Seriously asking 😅)
@@thenamesbrownie Because there are a lot of Indian immigrants, partly because India was part of the British empire. Oliver is probably alluding to England's colonizing past.
@@NC7491 See, I thought it was just because British food is bland and tasteless xD
@@cha0sniper Before John’s comment, Stephen was joking that English food was bland and tasteless. Then John brought up that England’s cuisine has improved, especially with Indian food, but won’t get into why. So now the joke becomes what NC7491 said.
Just as there was an edit during the Domino's bit, there was an edit after John's Indian food comment.
It is an intellectual joy to see Colbert and Oliver chatting. What great talents they are. Informative, witty, clever, brilliant guys
God i bet their time on the island was exquisite. Pumped up. What Whitt , their so clever. Love how you used the word intellectual. Absolutely perfect my friend. Their so awesomely awesome. Go Ukraine..kiss kiss.
Of course they are great together. They are both prodigies of Jon Steward.
@@arthurmartin4616 Jon was a great mentor to his able students. This is what talented teachers do. Colbert and Oliver were prodigies waiting to be discovered. Jon was in a position and had the discernment to discover and promote them. I'm a huge fan of Jon Stewart. He's a fantastic talent, a great mentor, and a superb entertainer.
Their chemistry is so good.
They're both so witty
"....and I don't
want
to get in to
why."
Can you please name these interviews with “part 1”, “part 2” and “part 3”? It would be easier to watch them in order.
I accidentally watched part 3 2nd.
People have been asking for this since the show started. Either no one ever reads the comments or they're on a mission to confuse the F out of us. I think their social media person is just enjoying people suffering and the rest of the staff have no clue.
was checking for the comments to say the same thing; and not just this interview, every multi-part interview.
@@KhaledAkbikThey have a little NHL-style goal light in the writers’ room and every time someone leaves that comment they fire up the goal light & siren.
@@cmorris9494 Because we assume the shortest one must be the last. Usually it is.
Yay! One of the few times we can laugh with John Oliver without him also making us depressed. 😎
Yeah 😂
ikr?? 🤣🫣🤯😢
So TRUE!
heh... yeah, until he says, "Indian food is incredible in England, and I don't want to get into why."
I also recommend him with Seth Meyers--it's just as funny (if not even sillier) than this
"You're killing people, stop it."
I think we just found the perfect tagline for LWT
Oliver on Colbert is peak comedy. It's a classic in the making, like Jonathan Winters on Carson, or Bill Murray on Letterman, or Norm Macdonald on Conan. It's amazing. These two are the best
We need a whole uncut only guest is John episode.. Stephen and johns chemistry is way to fantastic
One of the finest Johns we know :-)
I've heard he's officially in the top 6 of H-Johns, though I'd rank him much higher even amongst all the Jo[h]ns
J.Oliver Never dissapoints
Dimples.....!..... He's so dimply.💋
I lol'd when Stephen had to say John was just kidding about Domino's.
One of our greatest exports. I liked his humour before he moved stateside but I'm happy he's made a success of it over there.
Thank you for him. Few people make me laugh as much while simultaneously enlightening me. I learn far more about what is going on here from him than from our mainstream news media (so much of which is also owned by Murdoch now.) It's always instructive to hear someone with good british common sense take an objective overview and skewer so intelligently the ridiculous things we do and believe.
@@anastasiabeaverhausen8220 I've said for a very long while that if you want the truth, listen to a good topical comedian and remove the humour.
Also, I really hope that's your real name, it's so cool. 🙂
We are too. 🙂
Chatting with these two over drinks would be the experience of a a lifetime!
Getting a word in edgewise might be a real challenge though.
i *LOVE* John Oliver's energy when he's on a talk show. He is not there to take prisoners. He does not give a shit about pissing off sponsors. I love it
Are these two nerds the most handsome people on television? Possibly
I’m not into podcasts, but I would listen to these two chat for hours.
Oh yes! Exactly...
I love when John Oliver is there 💙😂💙😂
They need to host a food travel show across America and across the pond… the title is right there 😂
I've liked John Oliver since forever, and he and Stephen have a synergy that is wondrous to enjoy!
I love at 0:54 when they're both looking down at the realisation that that's not a joke, as much as it is a statement. Just make food fun again.
My favorite John, I adore believe 😊
John Oliver and Steven Colbert together! Penultimate comedy
I love John being interviewed by everyone. Stephen, Seth, and both Jimmy’s he’s the ultimate guest on late night TV! Plus has the best late show too! lol it’s wild
So funny!!!
They need to do an hour long special, just the two of them, as a fundraiser.
It'd be HILARIOUS!!!
Put them altogether or label the videos clearly as PART 1,2,3.
Like other late show TH-cam channels manage to do.
After a long time complaining about this I finally discovered the way to figure out the order. First you find the first video in the series, which is simple enough because it begins with the guest not there yet. Then once the video is over they provide a link to the next part in the interview. I know it sucks that CBS does it this way, but there's nothing I can do about it.
Not part of the budget
Why if you get more clicks that way? Kinda the same thing how only the McDonald's Ice cream machine is always down but not at BK or shit.
@@cumincalamity9867 another way is look at the upload date then find channel playlist of the day before.
Just a few days ago I rewatched the Love Guru, and only then did I realize that both John Oliver and Stephen Colbert are IN THAT MOVIE!! And now I am watching a video of the two of them together!
Why is it that every time these two get together it feels like the show is too short? 😂😂
Come we need more!! 😆
It doesn't help that they keep having to cut out parts where John forgets he's on network television.
I love excited John got describing Super Bowl food!
Please, sir, can we have some more. Of these 2 guys together.❤
Together they are so funny, thank you
Honestly, I would pay a lot for a podcast between these two!
I just enjoy listening to the crowd's reaction when John holds up a mirror to Americans to show how ridiculous we live.
John Oliver has been on the late show 16 times and one time hosting 👏
Is Bernie going to be reverse interviewing Colbert next time he's on?
Comedy Gold. Thank you my favorite John and Stephen in my life!
Oliver is such an amazing guest.
And down the rabbit hole they go. 🤣😂😆
Anybody who has to be in constant contact with news must be given free constant therapy, no questions asked, the only way to preserve the entire late night industry's sanity and keep these international treasures protected
😮My American ass has somehow never heard of Oreo Pizza!! I want one! Looks similar to Hershey Pie, which is so yummy!😋
I'd watch John Oilver read out of a phone book.. then thumb it up so that the YT algorithm puts it in front of more people.
Big Daddy Zazu is back !
Of all the Zazus, John Oliver will go down in history as one of them.
Big Zazu daddy, or short: big zaddy 😋
I love how Mr Oliver challenges everyone with his humor... To be better than we are.
If I had known John Oliver would be on, I’d have watched it live.
I want to see Stephen on Johns show so he can curse and say all of the things he cant on network 😂😂
John just zips replies off so fast and ends thoughts so succinctly, that he makes Steven go,"..... um... [studder]". He must be an awesome friend to hang out with. The quick-wittiest fck you'll ever meet.
Ha! That was the same definition of food NYC used to sell carryout alcohol during the height of the pandemic.
John Oliver is outstanding
Someone please make a playlist of all the times John Oliver and Stephen Colbert has sat together and just made the world a better place
I don't think I've missed a John Oliver interview with anyone ever at this point
Now I want to watch all 16 appearances back-to-back
My two favorite guests of your show, John Oliver and Bernie Sanders! I hope they both keep up the competition and keep coming back!
Indian food in England is legit amazing. Like, absolutely top tier stuff.
Do you get the joke about it? "and I don't want to get into why" I don't get it and feel like I missed something
@@chrishei3111 ( conquered)India was formerly part of the British Empire, until M. Gandhi led a historical rebellion for their sovereignty.
[They (British) were often accused of many social and financial abuses of the people of India].
These two are my faves!
I was just overtaken by an audible sigh of relief and possibly joy that John Oliver is here!!!!!!!!!
His impression of Bernie is my favourite. Spot on every time.
I'm sorry, Stephen, but someone who was just lauding Superbowl food as if it were American haute cuisine does not get to add, "Many people who travel to Britain say, 'What is a meal?'"
Super Bowl. It's two words.
Take away curry.
Both countries have an equal amount of abysmal cuisine hahaha
@@mister_manager True. But the U.S. has a ton of amazing cuisine that England does not have. Although England cuisine used to be atrocious but has steadily improved in the last 15 years.
Oliver always brings great energy and Colbert is tolerate and therefore tolerable at best.
Dominos, you’re killing people and you need to stop😂 and that’s why I love John Oliver
That’s objectively the best John ever !❤
May we PLEASE have the uncut version?? 😂
They did John so dirty cutting the segment on that joke.... 😅🤣
Hey Late Show, would it kill you guys to put "Part 1", "Part 2", and "Part 3" in the video title? Many thanks.
These two should have a morning show together. Way better chemistry than anyone forced to work with Don Lemon.
Is that bad. Working with/for Don Lemon ?
@@sharigraves6385 there’s been leaks about his behavior on set yelling at Kaitlan Collins, he stopped going to commercial to criticize her on air for the interview she just concluded, etc.
John Oliver's Bernie impression lmao
Is it just me, or does John Oliver ever so gracefully kind of let down US food. „Super Bowl food is what you‘d serve at an 8 year old bday party“😂
In Sweden we put banana, curry and peanuts on pizza. John Oliver would blanch.
I think i saw something similar on Beryl's channel....She said it was really good!
Anyone else notice the weird cut around 2:12? Wonder what they cut
I love John Oliver and Bernie Sanders ♥️
Anyone catch at 3:38…
John: “THAT’S POTATO.” ❤️😉
Domino's: We don't do the Oreo Pizza anymore.
Agreed. I really miss good Indian food back in the old sod. Was in London in January and had to force myself not to go to the local Indian every day. SOOOOO good.
For the love of all things, number these clips as first second third
This is great but you can tell it’s edited down from a much much longer conversation- would love to see the full interview!!
John: chips are potatoes. Ronald: ketchup is a vegetable.
No mention 5 John above Oliver until the end of 3 segments :))..
Actually, in Finland they have these Oreo style cookies called Domino.
Oh my - this was a treat. Steve had to slow Oliver down bc he's savage! LOL Firs the Dominos joke then the Indian food joke went over so many people's heads. LOL
"Domino's, it's what's for dinner."
indian food is incredible in england and I don't want to get into why. lmfaooooo spot on
To any Americans that want to use this to argue they have good Cuisine: Remember that John is originally from England.
What other Johns could possibly precede this one in a queue? He's my #1 favorite John, personally
And my spiritual advisor as MegaReverend Pastor John Oliver of Our Lady of Perpetual Exemptions.
John insisting 16 isn't a big thing in the UK forgets to mention it's the age of consent. Pretty important to 15 Yr olds as I remember...
But John wasn't getting anyone to consent when he was 16
If John Oliver is a guest - anywhere, I’m watching
Ok, what did they cut exactly after that Domino's roast?
It seems like every time John comes on he gets asked about his Britishness despite being in US for a long time.
John Oliver doesn't think Oreo is only a joke.
He is not laughing because it is really unhealthy and makes people sick.
I believe that Domino's is a sponsor.
As a Norwegian I know both pizza and Oreos..Tell me if I am wrong, they didn't put that horrible sweet cookie on pizza?
@@gretebremseth1622 Yes they did. Which John Oliver denounces as a crime against humanity.
@@gretebremseth1622 Isn't your country the one that puts banana on pizza or is that one of your neighbors?
@@DaremKurosaki 😁 No we don't. We have the "war" on pineapple or no pineapple on pizza thou.
I strongly believe that the British cuisine is what made Brits the best sailors in the world.
🤣
England still Cooks like they've lost all access to their spice trades and Germany still flying overhead
They learned the lesson America hasn't- when immigrants enter your country they also bring their ethnic cuisine, and the country is better for it.
"Quantity over quality."
Henceforth I want Colbert and Oliver on tv.
Yes, all the time.
And Yes, on all channels.
Any objections?
That was a trick question ofc.
Hey, Colbert, come here a minute. Yeah you, Stevie. You know if you keep at it, you could be real good at this! I wish you the best of luck.
Oh Colbert, you sweet summer child. You can go in as a 2 year old into a restaurant in Texas and as long as your parent over 21 orders it, you can then be served alcohol, from your parent's hand. Horrifying things I learned when taking the test required to bar tend in Houston.
The first one will be a film watched by fans of the game. If they like the film, they’ll watch the 2nd and 3rd parts.
British food is great. Best joke John Oliver ever told.
In heaven, the chefs are French,
the taxi drivers are British,
the mechanics are German,
and the police are Italian.
In hell the chefs are British,
the taxi drivers are Italian,
the mechanics are French,
and police are German.
But in heaven the inventors, comedians, bands, authors, actors etc are all British….we have to be bad at something, food is it 😎😂
We have states where kids can go into bars (accompanied of course). Wisconsin is one of them.
16th? so, is John The Speaker, now?
in most us states, underage people can drink in private homes if they have family present. in a few states like texas, underage people can even drink in bars if their parents are there!
And in Texas, they can drink at the bar with their spouse
Imagine if Adam Driver was there, too...
