Anybody else notice the exchange between Seth and Sutton when he asks her what key she wants? He says, "In F?" She's surprised and says, "How did you know?" And Seth's response is, "Because I'm a terrific plumber." ??? The man knows his pipes...
It was just announced today that Sutton's going to star an off-Broadway revival of Sweet Charity for a limited engagement in November. This'll have to hold us over until then.
I actually found that really funny, because of course the over-used Les Mis song at audition is "On My Own", and Sutton actually played Eponine in the US Tour:P
The song here is “I Dreamed a Dream” and not the overused “On My Own.” 2 clues, “Anne Hathaway” and that the show she’s auditioning for is about a woman dying of cancer, hence her picking the song that she had wanted to showcase her emotional range
"If they could see me now, That little gang of mine, I'm eating fancy chow And drinking fancy wine. I'd like those stumble bums to see for a fact The kind of top drawer, first rate chums I attract. All I can say is "Wow-ee! Looka where I am. Tonight I landed, pow! Right in a pot of jam. What a set up! Holy cow! They'd never believe it, If my friends could see me now! They'd never believe it, If my friends could see me now!"
The funny thing is when they did this they just pulled this from when Suton Foster was actually on broadway and sang it for Sweet Charity. You can find that post on You Tube as well. She is really good and it was a treat to see her perform on occasion on ABC's Bunheads.
yea I also never understand why the auditors DON'T look at you. I don't really mind it because I know all I can do is express to the max so they look up sometimes, and I guess they see so many people that they don't want to look
i'm not sure. i tried googling. it somehow managed to air in norway, so hopefully it will air in the uk and build some kind of cult following there as well. maybe netflix will pick it up.
I have been reading plot summaries for an hour about Sweet Charity, a show which I have already seen, to see where I missed the bit about her having brain cancer smh I hate me
No, no, no, if I understand correctly the idea is that certain character is auditioning for some other show, in which the character she's auditioning for has brain cancer. Seth the pianist is rejecting her plan to be the umpteenth person who sings a really sad song from _Les Miz_ and suggesting instead that she sing this peppy song to give him and the audition judges a break, no matter how inappropriate it feels to her.
She wasn’t auditioning for Sweet Charity in this. Here she was a struggling actress auditioning for a show about a woman with brain cancer. “If My Friends Could See Me Now” was just her audition song. You can sing 16 bars of just about anything at an audition, it doesn’t have to be from the show you’re auditioning for.
What the other person said, with the addition that Sutton's character was simply objecting briefly to the idea of using a cheerful song to audition for some musical in which the character has brain cancer. Seth is saying never mind that, everybody's tired of that sad _Les Miz_ song she wanted to sing.
Anybody else notice the exchange between Seth and Sutton when he asks her what key she wants?
He says, "In F?"
She's surprised and says, "How did you know?"
And Seth's response is, "Because I'm a terrific plumber."
???
The man knows his pipes...
Holy legs.
true
CORRECT
...and hips!
....and pipes!!!
I love Seth. . ."You don't have to go down with her"
Kate, his advice was perfect.
He doesn’t say that lol, He says “we don’t all have to go down with her”
Bunheads is sooo good. Snappy dialogue, quirky characters, strong set ups and twists. I will really hate ABC if they give up on this gem.
Written by the same woman who created Gilmore Girls. I love her work! Her shows never get the respect they should!
omg i’m so sad the show was canceled! i remember watching it in college haha
I seriously wasn't expecting to see Seth
"Start in F?"
"How did you know?"
"Because I'm a terrific plumber! Go sing!"
I just got that Seth was at the piano and never knew it before. How dare you turn Sutton down though.
Now they got Seth Rudetsky as a guest star?! This show become more Broadway than Broadway.
It was just announced today that Sutton's going to star an off-Broadway revival of Sweet Charity for a limited engagement in November. This'll have to hold us over until then.
damn stutton has a hell of a body 😮
mae k, her diet and exercise regimen must be astonishing.
Her name is Sutton but yes, she has.
and now she's playing this role!
Breene H Crazy right? Funny how that happens
And THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why this woman has two Tony Awards
I never realized that Seth Rudetsky was the piano guy! Great scene!
im still salty they cancelled this show 😭
I wish this show lasted longer. It's a better use of Sutton's endless talent
Seth is always amaazing; Sutton knocks it out of the park! Loved seeing both of you in They're Playing Our Song too. What's next for you both?
I actually found that really funny, because of course the over-used Les Mis song at audition is "On My Own", and Sutton actually played Eponine in the US Tour:P

Seth! What a great cameo!
"She sounds good." DUH. She is freaking SUTTON FOSTER. XD haha
"If they could see me now,
That little gang of mine,
I'm eating fancy chow
And drinking fancy wine.
I'd like those stumble bums to see for a fact
The kind of top drawer, first rate chums I attract.
All I can say is "Wow-ee!
Looka where I am.
Tonight I landed, pow!
Right in a pot of jam.
What a set up! Holy cow!
They'd never believe it,
If my friends could see me now!
They'd never believe it,
If my friends could see me now!"
but how is this better than the legit production she was inxD
OMG! She's using her REAL headshot on the cover of her music folder!
How can you see that? I’ve rewound it so many times and can’t find it or see it when she’s near the piano
Sutton Foster back as CHARITY HOPE VALENTINE dancing Bob Fosse routines! It can't get any better!
NOT dancing Fosse routines. Joshua Bergasse did all of the choreo for TNG "Sweet Charity" and it definitely is not Fosse. Much more organic.
I don’t think the Fosse routines would have worked for Sutton.
Oh Sutton, how you make my life complete. 🥰
Incredible performer. OUTSTANDING ,EXCELLENCE, STYLE,.
'We all don't have to go down with her'... LOL - Brilliant!
OMG How did I miss Seth when I originally watched this episode?!?!
I need and want that leotard in my life.
laura., it's perfect.
Seth Rudetksy being Seth Rudetsky. Lol
Why would have they have to tinkle? Shouldn't they have pissed themselves when she walked in?
I did a song to this at a dance convention, and could never figure out what song it was omg
Sutton was fantastic in off-Broadway's revival of Sweet Charity. Wish it had transferred to Broadway.
adorable
LEGS UP TO THERE
Mandee Sparkle, those are the best kind.
here for Seth Rudetsky
Finally someone put it on TH-cam :) thanks
Does anybody know where Sutton's leotard is from? It's gorgeous!
That was my thought then and still now :)
Natalie Puddy, it's likely a Cosa Bella brand.
Thank you soooo much! You're the best!!!!!
How the hell is she so GOOD!
they should really have her sing on the show more often... that is if it doesn;t get cancelled PLEASE DON;T CANCEL BUNHEADS ABC FAMILY OVERLORDS!!!!!
Repeat button!! 0:49

this was done before she starred in the off-broadway revival :)
Nope. She was in Bunheads 2012-2013, she didn’t star in Sweet Charity until 2017.
I love her scene doing an audition coaching
"Thank God no more Les Mis." No kidding.
omg seth
yea I also never understand why the auditors DON'T look at you. I don't really mind it because I know all I can do is express to the max so they look up sometimes, and I guess they see so many people that they don't want to look
Stupid jury .... she's a legend....LOL
Only on TV could Sutton Foster be continually turned down for roles...
Smokin’ hot!!!
I think the show she was auditioning for was about a person with brain cancer but the song she was auditioning with was from Sweet Charity
I love Seth 😂❤️
Yeah, the show she was auditioning for was "Dark Victory, the Musical".
She is amazing I know u all know
But she is amazing
Wow!
how true !
Sutton!!!
i'm not sure. i tried googling. it somehow managed to air in norway, so hopefully it will air in the uk and build some kind of cult following there as well. maybe netflix will pick it up.
Those legs could take down the walls of Jericho!!
Set Rudetsky and Sutton Foster!
00:01:07 "Look at her!" That was the most I ever liked Sasha.
im only 5 minutes into it and i repeat it like 1000000000000ⁿ00000000000000000000000ⁿ0000000000 times
Xuân Thơ Nguyễn ok but the video is a minute and thirty one seconds so how ??
+firealarm2905 in 5 minutes i listen to it few times?
SETHS BIG FAT BROADWAYYYYYYY
Sutton Foster
Lovely clip.
It is clear that she loves the pants
Владимир Павлов, what pants?
My dance solo is to this song
Why am I crying? Seriously. Why?
medfailure, we don't know.
Seth!
seth!
Maybe Amy Sherman-Palladino will do a Bunheads reunion series... like the Gilmore Girls one? Sutton was in that...maybe she'd be willing?
The most unbelievable thing about Bunheads was people didn't want to hire Sutton Foster.
Nothing about that audition was anything like the hundreds I've been on, but hey, that's Hollywood folks.
Her gams go all the way to Jersey.
SETH
Wow
OMG SETH
Haha. Seth at piano
lol if someone danced in a singing audition they would never get it
That's... That's not true what? Girl, the song worked so well with it
It's not like she doing high kicks and large movements! Just moving hands, stepping in place, hip swings, and side shuffles.
will bunheads be on in the uk?
Omg leggggs
Wonder what that first song was ? On my own 😉
Probably “I Dreamed a Dream” because Anne Hathaway doesn’t sing On My Own.
muahahaha SETH RUDESKI !
wAIT I JUST REALIZED THAT'S SETH HHH

SETH!
Is sutton actually in the F transpose? I'm asking for a audition.

And now she's singing it on stage!
I hate to say it, but Bunheads is officially canceled :(

SETH RUDETSKY

SETH RUDETSKY YOU BEAUTIFUL BITCH I SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
The show michelle was auditioning for was about a girl dying of brain cancer.
what do u mean?plz explain!!!!
I'm so sad at this news! :(
Did I miss something or was Sweet Charity about a taxi dancer looking for love? I think I lost the brain cancer joke. :(
