    Anyone who harms a dog just because it defended itself against their own awful behaviour needs the entire book of the law thrown at them. Animal abuse needs to be taken way more seriously.

      I remember being six years old watching my neighbor who was an old lady beating a small dog with a broom because it dug in her roses

    • @JackieOwl94
      @JackieOwl94 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Where I used to live, it was considered “best practice” to beat your dog if they did ANYTHING you didn’t like. The same thing applied to kids with the “spare the rod, spoil the child” policy. And the town’s police eventually just stopped going to child abuse and animal abuse cases. A lot of dogs died in that town, and these hicks didn’t seem to put two-and-two together. I guess it’s something in the water to collectively lower their IQ.
      I’m glad I was only there for a couple of years and made sure to religiously filter and boil my water, because man did it smell with toxic waste.

      Somebody at my school said hitting your dog with a newspaper if they did something bad, is abuse, it wasn't like hitting them hard, just like a tap.

      @alliedatheistalliance6776 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@B_A_N_A_Na Some of these animal rights types go way too far. They honestly value an animals life above a humans, just because they find them cute. Maybe a newspaper tap isn't the best strategy for training animals, but it's not "abuse" either and no it doesn't require jail/ death sentence/ life imprisonment and financial ruin. I had a crazy dog come up to me growling and barking and I gave it a kick. The owner did the mild 'no fluffikins, please stop that' but it clearly didn't work, and he was aghast at my self defense, but I'm not going to let a dog just bite me because its owner is a moron and can't train it. In fact I probably saved it from being put down, and made it less likely to attack random people in the future.

      MAW used to be just for children who have cancer. Now they also give wishes to kids with autism, organ transplant, etc. All the parent(s) have to do is call MAW and see if they qualify (before the child turns18 y.o.) for a wish.
      MAKE-A-WISH has made so many children and their family happy through hard and sad times. My heart go out to the children that are dying. I hope their short time on earth was made happy for them by MAW.

      The EM kicked a dog, huh? When's her funeral? I assume she was rabid and was put out of our, I mean her, misery.
      The ONLY time to attack a dog like that is when it is attacking your pet/family. Back when my dad was a kid, he raised rabbits in the back yard. One day, a hunting-breed dog was being walked by a neighbor and it caught scent of the animals, its instincts took over, and he broke away from his owners and killed a few of the rabbits. My dad's older brother heard the commotion from the garage and came running; seeing the situation and not wanting to risk getting bitten himself, he punted the dog back several feet. The dog owners were able to recapture their dog, saw the damage done to the rabbit population, and decided the kick was a justified punishment and went home. No repercussions as far as I've heard from my family, so I'm hoping the wind was knocked out of the dog is all, with no lasting injuries.

    2 things I never understood, first why people that obviously don't like the place go to Disney, and second why people have some kind of beef with Make a Wish.
    One of my sons interesting character traits is he will take just about anything as a challenge. So when we told our daughters those princess dresses and shoes would be pretty awful to wear all day, they agreed, him on the other hand took that as a challenge, and did it, for the entire week.
    Somewhere towards the end of the week, him and his sister had the Anna and Elsa dresses, and this Make a Wish kid just HAD to talk to them. I mean yeah it took time from our day, but who cares? Made this kid so happy to be with 2 Disney Princesses her own age for a while. Her parents did offer to let our kids ride with her, which we declined, because this was her day, not our kids.
    Like why can't people just let these kids be happy and forget about reality for a while?

One Karen of a father did a similar thing, complaining about waiting, a little girl told him off explaining that she had special needs children in her class and school and he should be more caring and offer help, other parents praised her and children and other parents offered to assist us with the special needs children to enjoy the cars by pushing them or helping pedal around the track. I went on the Teacup ride at DL around 50 years ago. The vile sentiment expressed by that hideous man about the little boy, is by far, one of the most reprehensible things that I've ever heard. Behaviour like this, needs to be in whatever guidelines for visitors the park has.
    Absolutely No Harassment Of Anyone Participating In MAKE A WISH. To Do So May Result In A Permanent Ban From The Park.
    Or something along those lines. If someone breaks this rule, then the employee calls security. Security then escorts the person to an office where it will be determined if the person violated park rules. If they are found to have broken this rule, then it will be determined how long their ban from the park will be. The asshat in this story earned a lifetime ban in my opinion. I can't imagine what it would be like to be such a nasty person? Probably quite lonely, angry, and with a general, all over feeling of ickiness.

    I used to be one of those idiots that tried to help people get back on their feet. Always burnt my fingers. The last time I took in a young man and his gf that were sleeping under a bridge. Told them they can stay rent free until he got a job and they could pay rent again. I provided everything for free, to minimize stress. After one month neither of them has lifted a finger to try and find employment. I then told them they can stay another month, and if during that month they found something, they can stay until they can pay their own way. If not, they would have to move out. Long story short, at the end of the second month they still did not have anything. So I told them they would have to leave the next day. When I came home from work, they had cleaned out half my house. Washer and dryer, computers, laptops, tv's, everything gone. Police did nothing. Told me it was my own fault.
    Sadly now I'm one of those that would step on you if I see you laying on the ground. I would not pee on you if you were on fire. I don't care, not my problem. I don't help anybody with anything anymore. Never once did i get even just a thank you from people I've helped. They would always just complain because I would not keep on helping them indefinitely. People suck. Homeless people even more so.
    The lesson I've learned is that there's always a reason why they're homeless. They've burnt all their bridges in their own families and/or friends groups, which is why nobody wants to help them anymore, which is why they're homeless. Stop being a parasite, and start working on and for yourself, and you will be off the streets in no time. And don't even think of asking me for help. The only thing you'll get from me is a free kick under your nether regions.

    Recently, some people asked if anyone in our neighborhood would put up a homeless women for a while, until she could get into rent-assisted living, I thought about it for a minute, and thought about all the stories like THIS I've heard, and thought, "I don't even know this woman's NAME, let alone her character," and thought, "I'd take her in, if she were a trusted friend. I've actually OFFERED a room to two trusted friends, but I won't do it for a complete stranger, because of the many stories I've heard about squatters getting more rights than the homeowners. Renters not being able to be evicted, even while they were destroying the home and physically harming the people who owned it and lived there. All kinds of horror stories like that. Theft and murder and just general horribleness. No. I won't put myself and my family in that kind of danger. I'm sorry for the woman, but that's why we have shelters. I donate to such causes, almost every time I go to the grocery store, and they have those donation things. I'm going to stay safe, and hope she gets help from a shelter."
    I still feel a big guilty about it, but then I heard THIS story, and now? I don't feel guilty, at all. These people WERE "friends," and still tried to steal a home, AND DID STEAL valuable property. Nope. Not to my family, thanks.

      Making it easier to kick someone out makes it easier to give someone a chance. Ironically, all these laws to "prevent homelessness" increases homelessness since no one will take the risk of renting to them.

      The state should provide homes for homeless people. Unless you really, really fuck up, that's how it is here. But if you're that far gone, you usually get a nice cell to call home instead.

    I have a Great Pyrenees. EK is lucky to still have all of his body parts. A Great Pyrenees' bite force is roughly TWICE that of a pit bull. I'm surprised that Lily didn't run away even while injured. Great Pyrenees are known for roaming and you have to have a well fenced yard. I hope the entitled neighbor receives jail time and/or loses her house due to paying damages.

      @MyAramil 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main problem i could see with that is when the "friends" find out and then take it from you. Even if you lock it in a safe when not on your person they could still figure out the combo or how to bypass other security methods. Or just break in and then you are on the line for when they go use it to steal from a store.

    Story 2. I worked retail for a very short time but the best event was watching my lovely lady manager kick an old man out of the shop thirty minutes after we were supposed to be closed. The announcements had been made and we had tried to get this old fart to either check out and pay or just leave. He kept on delaying until my manager came out, I don't know what he said to her because I didn't hear it and she never said, but she grabbed his basket and threw it behind the counter and shouted to him to get out and never come back or she would call the cops. Security actually intervened and after a few words from her they frog marched the old bastard out the front door ducking under the shutter which was half down waiting for him to leave. To my knowledge he never came back.

    I have just recently discovered DarkFluff. I think my wife has become concerned about the time I spent sitting in the living room watching these as I find them on the TH-cam app on our TV. 🙂These stories are for me a powerful reminder that for every person in the general population with an IQ over 100, there is one with an IQ under 100. Also: do all the Karens work from a secretly shared script?

    Story 3: While generous to offer a friend & his partner to live in your home to help them out, the homeowner was absolutely irresponsible and stupid to rent their home out to two people he knew had long criminal records with a shady background.

    The tenet story reminds me of my parents renters. They destroyed the house, had so much trash in the yard that they had been fined by the city and hadn’t paid rent in 6 months. They were served with eviction notices and repeatedly refused to leave. So mom called the police thinking that would be best. The renters were told they had 24 hours to leave. They responded by pushing all the garbage against the house and literally setting it on fire.( yes you read that right) and burnt the house to the ground. I will never give anyone any time to leave. They go immediately.

    So when I was a teen, I used to bag groceries. One of the things I would do when there were eggs and bread is to put the eggs on the bottom and the bread on top and let the customer know this was a delicate bag. One old Karen noticed me putting the eggs on the bottom and yelled at me for it. Then called me stupid for putting the eggs on the bottom. OK. I will put the eggs on the top… bread on the bottom. When she came back to complain I just replied to her (in front of my manager) you told me to put the eggs on top, so I just did as you said.

    Story #3:
    > first month rent not payed: written warning
    > second month rent not payed: eviction papers served.
    If they don't leave after the agreed upon time to find a new home: call the police and let them throw those trash bags out!

    Story 1: They're out there. When my mother was called our family together with news (the news was that she was terminally ill and the doctors gave her 4-6 weeks, she thankfully lived another three and a half years) my now ex-husband told me I didn't need to go to the dinner because we knew what it was about and that my mother may as well just die and get it over with. I couldn't believe he actually said that to me! We had been married 17 years at that point. I filed for divorce before the end of that year.

And if someone said what Kevin said directed towards my sister. I’m throwing hands, you just earned some free plastic surgery. Call it a face-smush, instead of a face lift.

    I had a situation similar to the old man at closing.
    My store used to close at one in the morning. We changed that when we went to close at eleven while there was work being done on the parking lot. So I had to adjust my closing calls.
    Eleven thirty, call. Eleven forty five, call. Five till, call. Two minute warning, call. Close, call.
    I had these two old guys with a cart each loading them up. I managed to get the attention of one to tell him "hey, we're closing in fifteen minutes." His response was "no you're not, I'm still shopping!" So I carry out my closing procedures, emptying the last till and closing out the self checkout machines. Cue them both showing up as I finish and raising all hell that "we're still I'm here, you MUST check us out!" To which I reply "negative, the store closed at eleven. You, therefore, need to leave."
    Cue the oldest of them trying to throw the veteran card at me.
    "Well, I was a Captain in the Marines!"
    "Oh, you're a veteran, too? I was a Petty Officer in the Navy, but you don't see me throwing that around to get my way. You're a civilian, now. Rank doesn't fly, buddy boy." Him and his friend continued to raise hell as the overnight manager came by and backed me up in kicking them both out.
    I hate closing, sometimes, but it does have its periodic rewards.

    Some older people are literally not in their right minds due to a deficiency, infection, or undiagnosed chronic condition. (Low-blood sugar, UTI, Alzheimer's)
    Some are scared and or in pain. So, their fuse is short on that account. When I worked on an ambulance, one old woman I took to her doctor's appointment and back. In the beginning she was yelling at me to burn in hell. Later, she called me an angel.
    A few are bitter old assholes. Filled with anger, regret, and envy. Every long-term care home has at least one. They often yell for help, but when you ask them what's wrong, they glare at you, and maybe scream to leave them alone; and right after you leave they call for help again.
    Most older people are good, like most demographics.
