Zoe Thompson I could watch this video 1,000 times and never get tired of it.You have remarkable, amazing talent. People who leave inane comments that say you look bored are missing the fact that you are so talented that playing complex pieces comes very easy to you. Please keep posting your work so your true fans can keep on being blown away by your amazing talent. Ignore the ignorant ones who leave negative comments. You have a gift, and nobody can take that away no matter what they say. I love hearing you play guitar. Rock on, kid! Anyone who agrees with this please respond and support Zoe. Kind regards, Henry Morgan
skilledkill37 as someone who has taught guitar for 11 years and played for about 30 this level is fairly standard for someone who puts in a lot of time at the 2-2.5 year mark. Unfortunately her dad had probably forced music on her since she was like 5. She is good and it’s a good skill to have but without her parents I doubt she would ever play guitar or any other instruments for that matter.
@@caesar8683 I mean, she doesn't look like she completely hates it? I damn wish I'd been given an instrument and made to practice. Now 19 and tried piano and guitar, and still no luck (Self taught piano to a fairly decent standard, but quit playing that for other things, now trying to learn guitar but on and off with uni). We're forced to take subjects such as English, Maths and Science to a certain level, and other studies to lower levels. Why is being made to play an instrument any different? I'd definitely have preferred a knowledge base of a load of metal/rock songs to learning how to describe a book like animal farm and inspector calls.
Nubzz because you’re forced to do these things like english, science and math and it’s not a coincidence that most people hate these things. If you force an instrument on your kids there’s a decent chance they’ll grow to hate it. You can try influence them and strongly suggest it but if you give the no choice it probably won’t work out.

However back to the main point, who says this is forced? Maybe she likes this style. Maybe picking up a guitar showed her a liking for this style? Without more information, we can only assume.
Nubzz because 9/10 times when a child is this good at this age it’s because they’ve been forced into it for years. No 6 year old chooses to play the guitar, and if it’s a girl it’s damn near impossible, I’ve never had a female student under 10. And as a guitar tutor of nearly 12 years I can say she’s been playing for a number of years now. It’s unlikely she chose to do this, she also doesn’t look very happy but that’s up to perception I guess.
I'm an old 61 year old rocker that loves to listen to Zoe and the Mini Band. So good to see young people putting their talents to use. Also great to see parents helping with their ambitions. You should be VERY proud of those kids. Please do some songs with the whole band with Zoe singing. She has such a lovely voice. KEEP ON ROCKING.
It's so nice being able to play an instrument at such a young age. I wish I was able to start earlier, but my interest in music awakened when I was 14. Right now I'm 16 and I've only been able to learn to play the piano, the guitar (acoustic), and a range of percussion instruments (Drums and Keyboards). I only have 2 more years to learn how to play more instruments before college, since I feel like college might take most of the free time I have now in high school.
HELL YEAH!!! This is so good! I’m 13 and just tried to learn this song yesterday and I struggled and for her to get it at age 10 I applaud her!! Keep up the good work!
Rafal Kalinowski Reading that gave me that much more determination, thanks. I'm 15 and just started learning to play, but I know that it's only a matter of effort and time when it comes to getting good, so there's not a day that goes by where I don't pick up my guitar. :)

I'm gonna call bullshit here, learning guitar isn't something you just do. It takes years and years of practice. It's an accomplishment when someone this young can play like that because it means they had the will and dedication to sit their ass down for years and learn guitar when they could have been doing literally anything else. Age does matter, because the younger they are the easier it is to give up

Why is it that you feel embarrassed? if anything this is a testimony to what you can accomplish. what Zoe is playing is relatively simple and if you wanted to stop being childish you could to achieve this level quite easily. ;p
Rafal Kalinowski true to that. I want to learn the drums but I think I could do this within a few weeks of getting a drum set. I air it out and it doesn't seem as hard as it looks. :)
Rafal Kalinowski damn man, I noticed you are really critical towards anyone who who states this girl has amazing talent for her age and that, and when they state she has more talent then they have. To tell these people to grow up is not right. first it is a grown up statement to admit she is better when she is younger, it would be childish if they instead displayed jealousy and tried to bash her. I'm sure you heard the statement "you cant win them all" because achievements like this are a win. Think of it this way not everyone can be a great football player. Or think of as with school subjects, most people excel in a couple subjects but struggle more in others, for example my son excels in math and science but struggles with English and social studies. There is no way you excelled in every thing you tried at.
Pixie Denehy No indeed there isnt any way one could excell at everything. I just think the mentallity of "this Person is better then me, i haven't started, i'm ashamed to be sub-par and alright, i wont try it" kind of mentality im seeing everywhere is honestly sick and pretty sad and dare i say pathetic as a society. This girl is great, im not disputing that, i couldn't play like that at all when i started 13 years ago and for the first 2 years i might add. I dont want to offend anyone, i think the human being is a beautifull thing, i just thaught i might give my harmless '2cents' and try to motivate people.
People can say what they will… Her parents had a positive influence on this kid. I’ve seen a few of her videos and I’ve been both blown away and inspired. Per my influence comment… I strongly believe being a parent is so much more than being a role model, disciplinarian and provider… We all have passions, maybe with sports, faith, education, fitness etc. I remember my 4yr old son running up to me after I came home from a day of scuba diving. While I was cleaning my gear on our back deck, he was keenly interested in all of the things I just finished rinsing in fresh water, and wanted to know how everything worked and where I had been all day. His questions were endless… It occurred to me that this was an excellent opportunity to share my passion for diving, so I told him about my day riding out to a wreck and all of the fish I saw while I wore all of this gear. He asked how everything connected and was worn, and a quick rinse of scuba gear turned into a late afternoon of teaching him how to assemble a scuba unit and promises of trying everything out in a pool. The takeaway? I opened a door for him to dream of things he never thought of… By the time he was 8, he already played in pools with a small tank, mask, fins, regulator and his appetite for being in the water and all things related were voracious. This was noticed by friends who were diving instructors in St. Kitts and a plea to see him get his Open Water certification when he was old enough. Currently at 23, he’s earned so much more as a Life Guard, Paramedic, Instructor, soldier and firefighter and a bunch of other accolades I cannot mention here. His appetite for learning, training, adventure, fitness, education and studying far outreach anything I attempted at his age. So, the chapters in his life are just beginning in some ways… I strongly feel, much like seeing Zoe Thomson in this video, playing an active role in your child’s life has many hats to wear. We can also learn from our kids as well. I’m 58, and took up playing guitar at 56. Yesterday, I found a video of Zoe here on TH-cam playing “Sweet Child of Mine”, and I’m just learning this very familiar song. There’s my inspiration, my recalibration of patience and the temperament to get back to my guitar. Thanks for letting me vent.
Nice work Zoe! Just stumbled across your stuff today. You were 7 in the first one I saw. It was like watching you grow up within an hour. Nice playing!

Helps us appreciate how amazing making music is!!!! Funny thing is that to watch the original artists play is expected....to see someone so young do the same is amazing!!!
Remember, just because somebody can play awesome solos like that, doesn't necessarily make them a better guitarist, this could be her style of play that she likes most, which makes her really good at it. I bet she spent hours upon hours to master this. Don't give up kids, hard work pays off. You want to be able to do this, then put the work in, but if it's not your style of play, then don't feel discouraged, I'm sure you will find it, and you will be good at what you enjoy playing most
Eminem is better than most rappers, definitely. Most rappers can hardly sing and don't even write the beats. All though some do have a few songs with real talent here and there.
This is exactly why I'm getting any kids I have into music early in life. I'm 21 and didn't get into music until I was 13. Wish my parents got me into it when I was like 5 or 6
I played a recorder when I was ten, I actually stole it from my school. Didn't think you would care. But im an og criminal back then. I stole pencils, erasers, Rubber bands, markers, Shitty plastic instruments. Get on my level.
In my school if you had pokemon cards the teachers would take them away. One time i watched where she put them and by chance the next day she ran out to get something and i went in and got them all in front of the whole class. Biggest heist of the 4th grade.
i have all the love and respect in the world for zoe...shes well on her way to becoming the of the greats....shes got my vote...you got my vote, rock on sweetheart
Kid yr got talent!!!!!im 43.been playn since i was ten and i just got schoold buy a ten year old.😲awsome.love yr work..keep on trukin cause your gunna have a mad career infront of you🤘🤘🤘
Im 19 and love guitar and it makes me happy seeing younger kids actually learning guitar to metal and rock , and she's actually really good , not very many kids get into it at that age , let alone be that good, plus its better then seeing them fall to the crappy rap and shit Thats out now, I prefer Dr. dre, 2pac and Eminem more then the stuff out now for rap, but congrats girl, keep rocking hard and you'll go places :)
Nuts, that's some pretty amazing lucky equipment and skill you got there :p when i was your age i couldn't play guitar at all, and when i started i had a $90 acoustic for the first year :p and now, 12 years after i started, im so glad i got serious about guitar, it has significantly impacted my life for sure! Haha i love how easy it is to learn, and here you have all of these goofs that's like "Oh wow, i will never be that good" Not with that attitude for sure!! Hahaha... i bet they haven't even tried.
I’m an avenged sevenfold fan, but the fact that she can do that is insane! That was some serious skill and talent. SHE EVEN PULLED OFF THE GUITAR SOLO!!! At ten years old!!!!That right there puts all of my years of practice to shame.
Fantastic! , Zoe, You are talented. I watched through this video paying close attention to your face and seeing places that made you smile with what I can only guess is pride. Well Zoe you should be proud of yourself for sure.
I have been watching you videos most of the afternoon. I only wish I had known of you sooner. You are an amazing gifted artist and make it look effortless. The future has no limits for you. Thank you for sharing your talent. You have a new fan for life.
OH MY GOD! THIS GIRL IS AWSOME!! I can't believe that as young as she is she has such great talent! That's the reason why I wanted to in a metal guitar. I wanted to play all of my favorite songs from Disturbed, Linkin Park and others! AND SHE ROCKED THAT SOLO!
If this kid ever feels down, just scroll through the comment section, and read all the stories of grown man who now feel down because you play ten times better than we all together.
This is how I will raise my children. Sick guitarists before teenage years. Plus they'll be born into Hard Rock and Metal
Bronson Jones Same here. No lil pump or anything like that.
Sad but rock and metal will probably die out and edm and rap is going to take over
Hiro I think rock and metal will always stay relevant. Bands like Greta Van Fleet are really keeping it alive.
Bronson Jones your gonna a fucking terrible parent
Jup same xD
when i was 10 i ate sand

+michal T i'm 16 and can only play the bass part. can't even play a guitar, so technically you're luckier than me
+dweeb 203 ye kinda, but still daim she is good, anyways bass guitar players are still good, they just don't get enough recognition
SAME HERE XD
Remember, just because somebody can play awesome solos like that, doesn't necessarily make them a better guitarist, this could be her style of play that she likes most, which makes her really good at it. I bet she spent hours upon hours to master this. Don't give up kids, hard work pays off. You want to be able to do this, then put the work in, but if it's not your style of play, then don't feel discouraged, I'm sure you will find it, and you will be good at what you enjoy playing most
frikin wow cant wait to c what this young woman does in the future i will be watching for her!
More talent than any rapper
True
Ever heard of Eminem? He's clearly talented. Most rappers nowadays are trash, yes, but not all.
+Kegan Gardner Eminem is good but I don't like other rappers
That's an ignorant and close-minded way to think
Eminem is better than most rappers, definitely. Most rappers can hardly sing and don't even write the beats. All though some do have a few songs with real talent here and there.
Amazing! There are no words to express my admiration for this girl. Hope you continue doing what you love to do, till the end of days. Go for it girl!
This is exactly why I'm getting any kids I have into music early in life. I'm 21 and didn't get into music until I was 13. Wish my parents got me into it when I was like 5 or 6
me too but I started music at around 9/10 but if I ever have children, I want them to learn things early
Good job girl, rhythm and lead at the same time, sounds awesome!
Bruh my friend Kyle has a garbage bag full of shit that he stole 😂

Faith in humanity restored!
Is this real life?
is this just fantasy?

If this kid ever feels down, just scroll through the comment section, and read all the stories of grown man who now feel down because you play ten times better than we all together.
some parts are wrong, but you can certainly play
Hopefully she sticks with it. She's great! Can't wait to hear her future band!
