Honda lineup for those who do not know UTV you have pioneer 500 700 and 1000 but the 700 is gutless with its 3 speen so i say good choice on the 500 pioneer 5speed For the 4X4 ATV you have 230 recon 420 rancher (which i own) 500 Rubicon (my favorite i dont own) and the depending on who you ask you have the 680 or the 700 rincon it's actually a 680 but it's the same engine and transmission that is in the 700 pioneer which is where the confusion comes from. Then you have the dune racers the trx 90cc but thats a kids then you have ( I don't remember which one of these is in production still or not) trx 250x, 250ex 300x 350ex, 400ex, 450ex i think is where they stopped
These are pretty fun dunes. Not because its miles of open sand with massive mountains to climb but because of the setting. Its in the mountains. There are a ton of technical areas to tackle. There are a lot of challenging shoots in the trees to test your abilities. Too bad they keep closing more and more of it down.
Imagine, buying a SxS that slow. I love the little Recon/250x machines as they are fun, but Honda should have gotten it's head out of it's ass 20 years ago and started competing. There's a reason we used to put CBR600 motors into quads. The market asked for this ages ago and yet all we've gotten is junk CVT driven big singles and some twins. All the big 4 have 3 digit HP sportbike motors, all they had to do was put them into big quads and SxS's and we could all have been happy. Instead we get clunky 'torquey' motors that are just the same if not lower torque and half the hp of the sportbike motors of the same CC.
The Rancher 420 was best for these sand dunes. The TRX 250 was a little underpowered at this elevation. The Pioneer 500 was ok, but also needed more speed.
This was like compaction roller course in equipment operator school
slow, slower and slowest
none ya lol
none ya haha so true!
none ya I agree, they should of brought out some actual performance oriented machines.
The should be all the same size engine 400 class.

I have a Honda Recon 250 ES it's pretty quick and it's very fun.
Teddy's Lift World is it fast in the beach dunes
Well Hondas aren't know for there speed 😂😂😂 Good video though!
Fun isn't always about speed, or getting from A to B in the least amount of time. :-)

You guys should definitely go there more often. I love the whoops there
I wanted to see which one was easiest to drive in the sand dunes but I guess those are more flat sand dunes, or an 800 acre sand box

They are not really flat on the outskirts. Go hit the shoots in the trees. Anything but flat.
Should’ve used a TRX 400x
You were not putting the pedal to the medal
Something was wrong with the 250x it should have blown the rancher away. I own both.
I have a 250r trx and a 450r trx I can say I love my 250r more
420 1st, 250 2nd, 500 3rd.
I dont want to be rude or anyting but have this guys ever drove some kind of off road machines
Banshees r the dune Kings everyone knows that this is joke
Travis Foster They are until a dedicated sand focused side by side comes out to play.
