I mean...when the lead vocalist did time for literally trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife, and you're okay with that, really there's pretty much only like 3 things that could POSSIBLY be worse to the point that even attempted murder pales in comparison: ACTUAL murder of someone, dirty deeds done with some type of animal, or shenanigans with underage partners.
Like, seriously...that's pretty much literally the only options that are so far over the line that they're not even just kicking the guy out who is doing whatever, but everyone else in the band doesn't even want to be associated with the name anymore. I've got a feeling once the details of what happened come out, Diddy is going to be forgotten.
Quintessential reddit comment
Thanks for making me feel old . My favorite album when it came out i was 17 though now im dead inside
I'm guessing the band was caught in some picture at Diddy parties.
I feel old 9 years old in 2005.. I have always loved them but was just hard to listen after the incident. Thanks Nik 🖤
"They fucking quit the band!"
The part that saddens me the most is the fact _Shaped By Fire_ is not on streaming platforms anymore
Holy shit! Just seen that! Wtf?!
The band themselves said on Instagram that it will be back up, they reached the end of a licensing/distribution deal and so are working on getting it available again.
Tim has gotta be the hardest person to get a long with!
Even the bands manager quit so more than likely that is the reason, Tim is more tham likely a control freak which makes it incredibly difficult to work with him.
@@TobikunOuO and he obviously does some very sketchy things behind the scenes for members to a moral breakdown
Dude imagine Nik interviewing Tim after everyone else leaves as the sole member of AILD. That'd be SOOOO awkward
Wait, Mr. “As I wish my wife lay dying” isn’t a great dude to be around? Shocking!
Paul Di'Anno, first vocalist of the incredible Iron Maiden, may he rest in peace. He once raped a woman, which he himself said in an interview, beat and insulted fans if they irritated him in any way. He took tons of cocaine and yet all metalheads respect him.
"thank you and fuck you at the Same time." Killed me beside the Main content.
First Veil of Maya, then Archspire, and now As I Lay Dying??
This year has been rough.
At this rate, I'm expecting Alex Terrible to make a post on Halloween saying "The Dead Are Living," and then go for late night motorcycle ride.
Archspire!??!? NOOOOOOOOO
@@Джонатан-р8д Yeah, Spencer left. As far as I'm aware there hasn't been any statement or reason. He will def be a hard spot to fill, but I guess that could be said of any member lol
Wait, what happened with veil of maya? I haven't heard anything about that.
@@bendykirk That's devastating. Big shoes to fill, but drum machines also exist. No one will even know the difference 😂
@daltonevans3412 As far as I'm aware, they're on hiatus.
1:07 I've got a hysterical laughter for a full fucking year just after watching that discussion video🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Timmy and Lords of The Underworld
Man Nick broke me apart in that "sit down discussion" video... he's such a nice dude! Just seems like maybe Tim just isn't the coolest guy to work with. Shocker right after the foul shit he pulled... Phil even sounds like he's ready to jump ship which is wild. Maybe it's really over... especially with Susi mentioning how his morals were tested to a breaking point. Obviously some shady shit going down in the background. Sucks for sure but I'm really suprised it lasted as long as it has. RIP AILD 🤘
I feel like As I Lay Dying is going to become like Megadeth with a never ending cycle of band members coming in and out of the band.
The bands manager even quit, the bands planned tour went up in smoke.
Megadeth is a way different situation than As I lay dying. Megadeth had members fired and quit since the very beginning but it's Dave Mustanes band. He is the vision, the sound and the leader of his band. Although tim is almost the same, Dave Mustane is more important for megadeth than Tim is for as I lay dying. Megadeth is still megadeth with dave mustane. I can't say the same for Tim. Plus Dave mustane never tried to hire a hitman to murder his wife
Mustaine is The riff maker, the lyrics maker, the chorus maker, the producer, The one man band.... What about Tim? This band is over
@@TYLERtheMAGGOT1 Agreed , we all know brain behind killer riffs of aild is phil
As I Lay Dying is completely done ✅ it is over now no coming back from this!
6:35 Exactly Nik... That's why this is so hard to watch.... Crazy how it would be such an amazing moment to have an interview with members of As I lay dying.. And you made the right decision. Seriously f*** Tim
As I Lay Dying saw Our Hollow Our Home do the everyone leaving twicebut one person and thought "Yo we could do that too frfr!"
If they truly follow them, this album will drop and AILD will ☠️☠️☠️
This is crazy. Nick Hipa said a lot of similar things about "integrity" when he left a few years ago, but kept things vague (which I think was the right call, TBH)
I really have to wonder what on earth is going on here.
I didn't know any of this AT ALL lol the song Burden has been fun to learn to play lately though
What Tim tried doing to His wife is what stops Me from truly wanting to listen to their discography.
I can only imagine how lonely and spitefull your life can be if you carry this kind of resentment towards other human beings who, without condoning their actions, made a huge mistake but got punished for it, did his time, saw into his own wrongdoing and made the choice to take this chance and give as awesome music that connects people.
This, to me, is not something unforgivable.
@@michaelcarst6958 If that wasn't an undercover agent and was a real killer. Someone would be dead. This crap is not forgivable.
@@michaelcarst6958 It wasn't a "mistake" it was a conscious choice and desicion that Tim made. He chose that path and if an undercover cop hadn't have been the one He contacted, an innocent woman would've been killed and a family torn apart.
@@KevinT2553 Exactly. It's not like the dude changed his mind and we're mad he wanted to kill her. He pretty much went through with it
@michaelcarst6958 because they don't want to listen to their music? Some people don't separate the art from the artist and that's their prerogative. Tim is a scumbag, getting caught doesn't change that and prison hasn't been known to exactly be the reforming experience it claims to be.
Metal is fun when it’s just the ascetic not when gets really real like this!0:43
If Phil stays, we are good
If Phil quits, the band is Dead. All the way.
He doesn't even have a manager now since they too also quit.
@@TobikunOuOthat was the european manager. Different regions often have different managers, like how TankTheTech managed Electric Callboy specifically for their US tour.
Regardless of what Phil does, if the problem is with Tim like I think it is, the band is done for.
@@Colt2OO2 I mean musically. Tim and specially Phil did all the shit, all the legendary riffs.
I am a In Flames fan for example, and it is the same thing, Bjorn and Anders doing everything. I mean, there is Megadeth.
But yes, I am just assuming and hoping it is not something that bad, and the band could keep going without the missing members.
I heard their regular Tour Manager also quit.
finally, how could they join that murderer psycho in the first place?
And now Shaped by Fire was completely removed from all streaming services...
Yea, what gives?
@@vatroslavmorbidovic4105 something about distribution I guess
If I recall correctly, licensing issues with the record label. Should be back up soon.
“I used to be in Woe, Is Me” shirt has some competition now
shame on the industry for doing business with that dude at all
Well, who could have expected that someone who hired an Hitman for his wife would be a diffocult person to work with. 🤔😅
Did anyone else notice Shaped By Fire was removed from Spotify?
Wildest part of the story so far
its back and they already explained why it wasnt available
Their licensing deal ended at 5 years. The band now owns the record again and they are going to put it back up when they figure it out. But clearly they have other things to focus on lol
Tim wanted to put out hits on other hands and was trying to get his band members involved this time. My guess is Ronnie Radke lol
AILD used to be my favorite band. It genuinely hurts me hearing all this, it makes me sad that I used to look up to Tim back in the day.. damn it
I used ti be into them too, but I started withdrawing my emotional support after the whole roids and hitman saga.
When the metalcore band I was in was first started 94 hours had just come out… and then Oceans I had on repeat for like 2 years. Just couldn’t listen to it after’13; I felt complicit
Was so hyped for their show in Copenhagen😞
Even the bands manager quit
I'm always one for people getting a second chance if they've done something horrible that gets them in jail and they have guilt and remorse over what they did but this whole thing honestly doesn't surprise me because if even one of their tour managers left right before some big tours and there's now only one other member besides the guy that literally tried to have his ex-wife killed, then I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out where the problem lies.
Now's your chance to try out Nik! Word has it that Tim is looking to hire!
Wait, you mean to tell me that the guy who tried to hire someone to murder the mother of his children didn't turn out to be the best dude to go into business with????? YOU DON'T SAY! Tim Lambesis can eat a whole dumptruck full of shit and the fact that anyone gave him the time of day after that is INSANE.
I mean some people can change for the best after going to jail and I believe in 2nd chances. I'll wait to hear what tf happened but I don't believe in 3rd chances unfortunatly, AILD is dead
@@AKmumuImo; 2nd chances are extremely hard to come back to. Unless the person has truly changed their view point of someone for the better.
You don’t have to forgive him but a lot of us tried to. We all tried to cheer him on continue being better and to do the work to keep improving as a person.
But clearly something snapped.
@@Kjertinge Or, or, he was always like this. One’s obviously have not/will not be mentally sound if they tried to hire a hitman on their S/O.

Finnaly someone explains the situation 🙏
This is a fun metal thing. Tim deserves this. There was no redemption arc. He never changed. He lied through his teeth.
I assume these guys didn't realize Tim wasn't remorseful for anything he's done and hasn't changed how he treats people around hum.
If you're working with Tim, it's because money and exposure is more important to you than not supporting a remorseless attempted murderer.
Well said, fam!
Yeah, he's an apparent sociopath.
Glad I got to see them at new england metal and hardcore festival this yeae
