but it´s nice to see that there was forgivness or at least attempts of such. Noone is perfect and so is Tim. I hope that separate ways will bring peace and kindness to everyone. I am stoked to see what the "outcasts" got up their sleeves.
I really feel for you, Nick. From what everyone says, you're one of the nicest dudes in metal. I can't imagine what you must have gone through to feel that kind of hatred. I'm glad you're finally able to start making peace with all of this.
His cousins are my god-brothers so we've hung out a few times. He really is a super nice dude. It sucked seeing what Nick's family had to go through with what happened with Tim.
Jairo Droz Evan White was the original bassist too. Also, David Arthur did clean vocals on Shadows Are Security, not Clint Norris but Clint did it live.
This is the lineup that got us here. Once in a lifetime kind of thing. Tim is brutal on the vocals, u can feel every emotion word lyric passion, josh gives it emotion with his bass, voice, breakdowns prechorus and choruses, Phil obliterates new riffs causing a blackout worldwide, and nick goes north korea with the solos, and jordan keeps it all together steady playing at 350 bpm without breaking a sweat, while also causing supernova with that amazing beard lol
If you mute the sound when Jordan Mancino is talking you would almost thing they are just sitting there silently waiting for a bird to come out of his beard. You would have no idea his mouth is moving.
Nicks my favorite, he just completely lets it out and doesn’t hold back a shred of emotion... the way he went into depth like how his personal life was affected, how he couldn’t get away from it cause everyone would ask him about it and the sheer deterioration of his physical health due to the stress was just... beyond words. Glad these guys did this to show just how affected everyone was, both on an individual and collective level.
They needed this. They needed to air out their grievances, their problems, their baggage everything. This was the avenue they needed to heal. I'm so glad for this. To see how emotional Nick got, really showed what they all have been going through. The betrayal, the lies, the anger all of it so heavy. I'm glad to see this band back together, thank you to you guys. I hope to see great things from you guys in the future.
They all look so defeated. 2 of them look like they're in trouble and waiting in the principal's office, one looks like he's in mourning, and Nick looks like he was rudely awoken from a deep sleep and forcefully dragged out of bed.
Nick is the purest soul in metal. There's nothing more metal than displaying your emotions in a healthy manner. There's nothing more metal than passion. Love this band. Tim, you better not screw this up again. You guys need this band and your fans as much as we need you.
😂🤦♂️😂 This is the stupidest discussion I’ve seen in TH-cam so far 😅😅😅 it’s like giving a pedophile a second chance at committing crimes I’m not saying Tim lambesis is a pedophile but my point is if you have a friend that hires and is convicted for attempting to murder his wife that’s not a friend is want to do business with because he is NOT a reliable person but that’s just me.
Dear friends, I hear your music since I'm 15. Today, I'm 27! To see you re back, to hear what you were/ are struggling with makes me sad and makes me love you so so so SO DEEEPLY! I'm thankful for your music all over the years and I'm thankful that all of you discuss your conflicts, thankful that all of you are willing to forgive. If you can forgive, Im totally okay with it too. I love you all! Thank you for your openness! Your friend A.
Man.. this is super emotional. Especially hearing Nick left. Yall are one of my favorite bands of all time. Been a massive fan since I was like 14 lol. 33 now. Thanks for giving us this inside glance. We love you guys.
“Suffering, Persistence, Such sorrow, Yet Resilience” I’m glad to see repentance, grace, respect, forgiveness, healing, and just an over all resurgence of faith in each of these dudes. It’s almost as if a beacon of hope is growing and it’s with these five dudes. If the rest of the world could bury their hate the way these guys did, I could only imagine. Glad you guys are back!
Noah Smith I don’t think they’ve buried their hate or dislike for Tim. Nick and Phil in particular I think probably resent him for what he did. Only in time can he prove that he’s a changed man
Wow. You can really tell that they're still struggling. There's awkwardness between them. Resentment, lots of resentment. Broken hearts, and a feeling of not knowing the other person. A feeling of longing, and shame, and guilt, but also gratitude, hope, acceptance, and forgiveness. These guys are doing something special here. They might not even know exactly themselves where they're going as a group right now, but they're doing good things. I wish them all the best, and may they once again build a great friendship as a group.
The court and punishment systems really did these guys a disservice and let everything fester a lot more which was avoidable had they given these people the chance to sort things out and clear misunderstandings. Tim was not a dark and evil person as an individual and identity, he makes it clear he's the opposite than he was in that moment, it was a very dark fundamental area in his life where it went too wrong.
@@ThBlueSalamander Yeah but it still seems odd that they split up now. Sad but it is what it is I guess, and who knows what goes on behind the scenes. I can still go back and listen to the albums they made together.
Nick, the friendliest guy in Metal got me right in the feels..... if he can process this, the rest of the world can't really say much else. He is a great Weathervane for this to be measured upon. Good for these guys to spill far more than the world deserves to hear. Glad to see them together.
Beyond the music, there are fundamental lessons for us all to learn from here. Take from it what you will. Thanks guys for making the effort to open up publicly and whatever the future holds, I hope growth and healing is found.
This video is about redemption. I loved that Phil & Nick shared the raw feelings of hatred they had. The fact that those 4 guys can not only sit at the same table with Tim, but forgive him, record a song & possibly continue as a band is beyond amazing. I know there are plenty of cynical people out there who thinks that this is all about money. I'm not going to try & change their mind. If that's how they feel then fine. But if you can watch this video & see the genuine emotions they all showed & think they can all just put it behind them for the sake of the almighty dollar, then I don't think you have a very good grasp of the situation. I won't get religious, but this is nothing short of a miracle. It is a man going to the deepest darkest depths of rock bottom & dwelling there for a long time and then slowly crawling out and rebuilding his life the right way & repairing friendships that seemed to be unsalvageable. The things Tim did should never be forgotten. He should never get a "free pass", but he does have the right to put his life back together & he's worthy of forgiveness. If those 4 guys who he hurt beyond belief & knew him better than anybody can see the change & forgive him, then I'm extremely comfortable continuing to be a fan of As I Lay Dying.
@joe winkler how do you know they were broke.. Tim was not "the" band. they were a band as a whole, of course he had alot of influence on song writing and had alot of good ideas. but they came up with those songs a group. And would you be be visiting your buddy after all that shit went down. I think you would be in the same boat as all the other band members, unless you were colluding with Tim on his "Mistake"...these are great musicians, who can shred like non other and keep up with the legends of Metal...They all deserve this chance to continue on the path they were on before all this went down. Joe keep your dumb ass comments to yourself, and dont follow what the band is doing if you dont agree with it you schmuck....
Zachary Ziobro well I didn't mean it into a negative way that's for sure lol their new song rocks and had me excited but after this, it seems they still have some healing to do.
i just wasnt sure cause you said "no disrespect" but yeah man, its good to see that they all have the inner strength to come back together and try doing what they know they are good at and love. I'm also very glad that Tim is trying to show the world (whether they want to give him a second chance or not) that he is a changed man and regrets the person he once was.
Coming back now after essentially the end of AILD after Nick and Josh have left, with Jordan almost certain to call it officially, this just hits so different. Nick's raw display of emotion, and the sincere honesty in everything discussed is such an emotional journey. The work they put out as a band was and always will be iconic and amazing. I truly hope they all find closure and happiness on their individual paths.
In 2013 I caused an explosion in an apartment building and it resulted in 3 people being burnt (including myself) and about a dozen more almost got hurt, including children. I've done 14 months in state institutions and have had to pay over 10,000$ in fines and restitution.... The person I was back then was not a good person... I was on drugs and had lost my way from everything that was important to me.... The feeling of regret and remorse was so deep and I wanted to be forgiven so bad... I wanted redemption so bad... I almost killed myself several times...i couldn't handle the guilt. I got into more trouble from drugs and I ended up in rehab in Louisville KY, that place changed my life. I found other people just like me and I realized many things about myself... And I began to change. I found a few books that changed my perspective on life and gave me a deep spiritual understanding of this life and people...when I got out of that place, my family seen that I was changed and they forgave me for my actions... They showed me love and they showed me compassion. I have seen so much good in humanity through my process and out of my experience I have learned that forgiveness is Soooo strong.... It can change lives.... I needed to go through what I went through to become who I am now. That is the case with Tim as well.... He had to go through his situation to become a better person...who knows... Maybe we will see it through the music... I'm hoping fore some deep spiritual stuff... I've been a fan for 13 years and I'm not going to stop being a fan now. Love to you guys As I Lay Dying, Tim, welcome back man. I forgive you man and I hope to see great things manifest in your life. Love to you all!
BeHereNow Dragonfly Damn some deep stuff. Glad you're doing better. It takes some people to sink to the bottom and fight their way back up to finally catch their breath and enjoy life for what it is about connections with each other spiritually, emotionally and physically =]
BeHereNow Dragonfly That's what so many don't seem to be able to understand. We have to hit rock bottom before it becomes real enough for us to make the concious decision that it's time to do something different. We're human after all. Sometimes you have to be buried neck deep in shit before you finally realize "Oh fuck... I'm buried neck deep in shit." Then find the way out and not get to that place again. Having solid people in life is the key. I hope Tim keeps that in his heart and mind every minute of every day of his life because he's got some solid ass homies right there.
Awesome dude much love and compassion your way from Berea Ky, your a better person today. Dont let anyone judge you bro for any sins youve ever made right in the past. Im glad to hear everything is right with you and your family. Stay strong, Hard as Metal
I saw these guys so many times both at shows in my home town and at Warped, and I met them all once at a CD signing in Hot Topic. They helped my love of metal grow. They consistently had some of the biggest circle pits I have ever seen. I'm glad they're trying to pull back together, and I hope they keep making great music without any more trouble.
Nick is one of the chillest dudes I've met. I saw the guys in Toronto when they opened for Atreyu. My friend and I were just out for a breather and we ran into Nick who happened to be wearing the same band shirt (Unearth). He looked over and pointed and said "sweet shirt". We hung out and talked for a while. Honestly one of the best moments in my life. I'm glad everything is working out and you dudes are able to make peace and continue on.
To all the commentors saying they look like shamefaced puppy dogs as I've seen on several blogs, you must not know anything about male expression of emotion. They're barely holding on in this video because this talk is pulverizing their hearts. It's so easy to pass mindless judgments, but you should stop.
Adam Seneca this very true. For men to sit down and hash shit out like this it's very hard. Men in society are taught not to do this. So I agree with you.
People always act stupid when men "get emotional" but we're all human and we all have emotions and express it differently. Especially men. And if we would just accept that men have emotions that need to be expressed too then we would be better off.
I got see them 2 weeks ago outside of Chicago and had the chance to meet Tim after the show. I went up to him and gave him a big hug and told him how much AILD meant to me. These guys have been such an inspiration to me and for them to show so much emotion and forgiveness after so much despair and pain with what they all went through makes me hurt, love and respect them so much more. On a side note, there wasn't a dry eye in the whole venue after they played My Own Grave. I wish them years of success and can't wait for many albums to come. I love you guys!
Nick & Phil, very honest and direct, I'm glad we can understand this a lot more now. You guys inspired me a lot before this whole thing, but the strength you've shown now is just amazing! You guys are heroes! So many bands can learn from you!
You guys are amazing people. Seeing the raw emotion and hearing it directly from each of you brings so much perspective to the past 5 years. While watching this I couldn't help but here the chorus to A Greater Foundation in my head. "Sometimes we have to watch our whole lives fall apart Before we can rebuild them again A greater foundation." So here's to hoping that the best AILD is yet to come!
Eventhough it's not the main point of this video, I always saw Nick and Phil as brothers, they were such a motivation for me when I first started playing guitar. They were like an unstoppable duo and seeing Nick tear up about their seperation really hit me. However, I know you guys will go on to do greater things. Love and respect.
I understand what Nick is saying so much. I too went through an experience which stained people's idea of my identity. There's a lot of pain in going through a traumatic experience and having people constantly talk to you about it and as associate you with it as if it were the only thing you can talk about or the only remarkable thing you've ever been through. You just want to move on and be finally free of that heavy weight, but people won't let you move on. Other than that, I understand the mixed feelings the guys have. I hope they can finally move on and be happy. They deserve it so much. It's so freaking unfair that they have to pay for something they have no responsibility for whatsoever. I admire you guys so much. Lots of love from Spain ❤️
Sorry if I write in Spanish! Los amo As I Lay Dying! Me están sacando una gran alegría, pero quiero que aparte de una banda sean una familia! Vengan a Colombia! Son una gran influencia para mí!
You guys r and will b a lot stronger as a band n as a family unit... I do n always have loved ur music everyone has mistakes n hits rock bottom I have before but now I'm stronger n wiser because of it.... U guys r going to take over the world! AILD METAL!!
Pray. You all make great music, you have helped many MANY people move forward throughout the toughest of times. I understand the difficulty and still believe that you guys can push forward, be it together or individually. Yes, the algorithm brought many of us here, but all I can say s present this issue to God. Remember where you came from and where He has brought you. Things will fall into the right place. Thank you for wonderful music and I hope nothing but the best.
Jordan looks he is gonna start punch people in the begining and when Nick is talking and he gets emotional everyone just became butter-faced ready to start tearing. Holy fuck Tim did some serious dmg but those guys are ok with it so am I. their music is amazing and i'll support them wih their new beginning
ExNotes is it was just you didnt reply to do a christmas card and all that that was the first time day going to get get do it 0a5eeeeereeaeteeeeerreeeeeeaeeeeeeeeeeeeaeaeeeaeerereeeeaearee5a5w
I'm so happy they are all back together! I believe Tim served his time and realized who he had become. I think he is back to being the man he was before or maybe even better. I hope and pray that they can all get through everything and become bigger than they were before. I was and still am a fan their music is what has helped me through so much! I'm so excited that they're back and My Own Grave is beautiful!
Good to see you guys reunited again. You were the first metal band that I listened to, and thanks to you guys I began to love metal music at all. Hope you keep doing a really good job making music again and helping each other around.
This is very cathartic. I hope this is the beginning of a truly positive and beautiful era of music and just good times for AILD. If you all make it to Vegas I'll be there.
I’m a HUGE fan guys. I’m always listening to you guys. After everything that happened, I’ve never felt hatred against tim. But finally hearing tim, and the rest of the bands side, I respect you guys even more. Hearing Nicks words, I’ve never thought they would get back together. Us fans love you guys. I’m so happy Phil and Nick wanted to get this band together. Not just them but the rest. WOVENWAR is awesome too. I’m so happy they came up with what they came up with. I’m soooo glad AILD is back. Again, I’m a huge fan. Make more music. We’re still here!! I respect all of you. I hope you guys read this. I have respect for all of you. But I also want to know, what does tim think of wovenwar :)
I'm not one to dwell on the past so I simply want to say that I'm proud of where you guys are at as humans and very happy to see new music coming out. I saw you guys live a few times when I was early in Highschool, now I'm almost 30 and I still remember how great those shows were and much I love the music. Cheers gents
This has easily become one of my all time favorite bands. The music is good and I fully intend to support them by buying the albums, going to a show if I can, t-shirts...etc, but it's way more than just the music to me now. This story is incredible. Such a testimony to forgiveness and friendship. God bless you, all the members of AILD, this is why Christians have these cheesy phrases like "God can turn a test into a testimony" when you find things like this... it's like "how in the world did they get back together, I NEVER saw this coming..." well, this is why.
When Nick talked it brought me to tears how hard he was trying to hold it tghr.... Dam man the feels the while band was holding back tears I'm so glad these guys grew and stayed thgr best metal comeback ever
I think that it is so important that this discussion happened; not just important for the fans to see one of their favorite bands laying all of this underlying turmoil on the table, but also for the group themselves. This is very bold of Tim and the rest of the group. I love the sincerity.
I've always listened to AILD and I have to say their music is amazing and its gotten me through a combat deployment and hard times in my life. I resent what he did but I can say I relate to the story they share of their pain and the chance they are giving him. I really hope they follow through and get back together. This band is all they have ever truly known since they were in highschool. This is their lives and I hope their music continues and they are healthy as a band. Time heals all wounds but you cant change how they were caused. All the members, I as a fan am here for you. Id love to come out to a show and not talk about Tim or anything and just talk about the live of mine you've saved from the lonely nights in foxholes having your lyrics or too life causing me pain and being healed by your lyrics. God Bless and forever a fan. - Andrew
Getting back together despite what Tim has done shows character, maturity, and encourages me in many ways. It was a big move but you guys did it and it only makes me love you guys more. Other bands have broken up for less. Love you all!
It takes a real man to own up to his mistakes and apologize for all he's done. My heart goes out to all of you. I'm sure this wasn't an easy process...but I'm so fucking happy you dudes are back together making amazing music. I can't stop listening to the track...good Lord I can relate to the subject matter so much. No one in life is perfect. If we're honest about our past mistakes and willing to change for the betterment of one's self and their loved ones...Forgiveness and healing will come about. The first album I bought from you guys was Shadows Are Security...and it really saved my life as a teenager dealing with so much... Believe me when I say this: thank you for being alive and making music. I owe you guys my life and I support As I Lay Dying 1000 percent.
@@octo.lina69 Probably the biggest men like the other members of the band to be able to talk about this in depth and be able to surpass the bad things that have happened. You know, FORGIVENESS and stuff?
I love you guys, you were the band that lifted the veil for me into Metal. So unique, in your face and lightning fast. I am so happy you all got back together, there is so much talent here. Life is about forgiveness and love. So proud and happy for you all for dealing with all the trauma’s this caused. Thank you gentlemen
Nick was nice enough to get me and a friend into the Dallas Show before all this happened. I worked at Cafe Brazil in downtown and he came in for breakfast, I’ll never forget how awesome you guys were that night and how nice it was that you remembered to put me on the list. The show that changed it all for me though was TBDM, Scarlet, Every Time I Die, and you guys. The greatest sounding show I have ever been too. Kids falling off the balcony. Glad to see you guys doing this. Life is not black or white and you guys are dealing with this the right way. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you for releasing this, it helped me move past some of my reservations as well and I really look forward to seeing what you guys can make of the situation. I know you guys will do what you feel is right and I hope you don’t let the future negativity get you down! I think I speak for millions when I say Welcome Back!
This is really hard to watch, for a number of reasons. The main one is you can still see the pain and even still some hatred for everything that went down. You can tell this was hard for them to actually finally sit down and let it all out. I love that they did this without any editing. They didn’t try to make this look all happy, they wanted to show us the struggle that they are all still going through, but it also shows something amazing... they are moving forward. To forgive someone for something as horrible as what he had done, is tough. Especially when it affects your life for years and years. I am happy they are coming back, and moving forward. Tim looks so sincere while they are all speaking their mind. This wasn’t made to look like everything was ok, but it still isn’t, you can tell. That is what I love about this video. It’s real. It shows true emotion, which is the staple point for as I lay dying... emotion.
Coming back here after Nick and Josh have left, and now Jordan is sitting out this upcoming tour. The band is pretty much done for at this point but I'm okay with that because Tim should focus on his side projects, which sound fresher and more exciting anyways. Plus, most fans would agree that Shaped By Fire would be a good album to go out on (I personally don't agree but hey, it's still a solid album). Regardless, I'm so happy these guys came back and gave the fans one more shot. I'll never forget when they released the My Own Grave music video and smiling ear to ear at just how great of a song it was, and the fact that all the original members were back in a room jamming out like that :') Edit: it’s 2024 and all 3 new members plus Phil have now left and Tim is going to continue with AILD with completely new members. Wow. This really aged like milk.
To find out Jordan actions is what pushed Nick out and then Josh to leave because he wasnt answering any of their calls for 2 years once COVID canceled shows and Jordan was mad other shows were canceled because people were boycotting Tim. So he wanted to boot Tim and take the AILD name.
@@hhaste If Jordan officially leaves, which I assume he already did(?) then Tim will fully own the band and I’m sure he’ll continue it since it pays the bills. I’d be interested in a new album with this line up, but really I just want new Pyrithion. That’s all I want.
This video touched me so damn deep. Watching Nick almost tearing down to pieces was just heart wrenching to say the least, but even after all what happened, the damage, the pain, the remorse, the hatred, they still gave it another chance, one last time, and that alone I think, sends a ver y powerful and beautiful message, that there's always room for forgiveness, and when its genuine, when it comes from the soul, it really makes you free. I for one, will continue supporting these guys, I've never been in a position to judge what happened, but if they carried on, I will be doing so with them, now more than ever. I cannot express how happy I am to see them together again, "My Own Grave" was definitely a cathartic song, for them as human beings, friends and bandmates but also for us as fans, it was the closure we all needed on the matter and a hopeful stance for what's to come. Guys in As I Lay Dying, I was, am, and will be with you guys, enjoying and loving your music, supporting your dreams and goals, I grew up along side you and will continue to do so, I love you all and for the love of God, just keep rocking no matter what, it wont be easy, a lot of people are not so understanding (mainly because for whatever stupid reason they feel entitled to you or whatever), but there's also hundreds, thousands and even millions of people that share my feelings and thoughts about all of you and will always be there to rock by your side, hope these humble and caring words get to you. With love, a Colombian fan :)
All I see is 4 people who genuinely hate their front man. I do not know why Phil stayed. I can only assume it is because he refuses to leave sole ownership to him.
I doubt that Phil had any sole ownership on AILD because when they were on hiatus because of Tim's jail-time, it was only Tim and Jordan who remained as listed members. My guess is Phil stayed because he's probably the only one of the 4 guys from the classic line-up who's the most neutral, in a sense that he's not automatically siding with one camp (he just said in here that he also had a beef with Nick Hipa) and is probably the most open-minded to work with Tim. Now that Phil is finally out, to say that this is not a good look for Tim or AILD is an understatement.
holy fuck. this is. this is brotherhood. I am so teary eyed listening to this. I am here an I will follow this journey. fan since 2006. forever will be after hearing this. these guys put there heart on there sleeve. I love you guys. genuine.
Never thought them recording anything would ever happen. This was a great thing to watcha nd immensely intimate and personal and I think the fans needed to hear this and see how truly devastated the entire situation was. I'm optimistic. I believe in second chances and I hope for nothing but positive things for these dudes. Great music and honest conversation.
To this day .as a guitarist who have toured I have been a number 1 fan of as I lay dying and the 1st woven war album..was an still is my favorite album..I love u guys man.truly..this hurt us as fans and it put alot of strain on alot of us die hard fans..Phil an Nick are litturally my super heros an to see them like this yrs later still stings man...I will always love as I lay ..and woven..wtvr u guys do I'm behind u..
It's great to see you together again. Your music always has been inspirational for me and people all around the world. You must keep it. Greetings from Turkey.
In my opinion, I feel the reason why Phil is still in the band because he was blunt and straight forward about the way he felt. The other guys were as well, to a point, but to a certain extent that made them leave over time. Phil let it all out there and was willing to move past everything. The other guys still had a lot of feeling towards Tim that they were holding onto. Nick held on the best he could. But if we're being honest, had he not left, the other guys probably wouldn't have either. It was a domino effect after he left. I will still support them with the new lineup, but I still wish they could've continue with this lineup. I wish the best for everyone moving forward!
It kinda goes along with their lyrics for A Greater Foundation "Sometimes we have to watch our whole lives fall apart, Before we can rebuild them again, A greater foundation". I've always loved this band and I hope they can continue grow from this experience and be successful
You guys have been through so much... I've grown up listening to your music and I am so happy to hear you're all back together and finally reunited as friends. It's amazing the transition you guys have all gone through. I can't wait to come down and see you guys as a team again on November 6th in Dallas Texas. I have never been so excited to hear new music from another band until I heard about reuniting from you guys. I feel like I can connect on small level as you guys, a very similar situation happened to me a few of my best friends. I know it was nothing close to what Tim has done, but at least I have a small connection and can understand how you're feeling Tim. Thank you for being honest and proving the people can change.... even if it's from the most extreme circumstances.
I appreciate you all being so vulnerable and open. I just kept feeling that every emotion or thought that was deep, Tim had to insert himself in almost like trying to minimize and move past. He hasn’t changed, knowing your a trigger for pain why would you reach out to a friend on their birthday unless to manipulate and then always make it about yourself. Worrying about defense just solidifies where your priorities always lie, with yourself Tim.
Before watching: This band was one of my top faves growing up. A band of brothers. I have a tight group of guy friends around me whom I would do anything for. If they cry... I'm crying... (EDIT) After watching: Nick is crying and now I am crying.
It's a miracle...but I knew rest of band will forgive Tim..and he deeply and honestly sorry for everything he did....Nick suffered the most I always saw him smiling..I am so so happy they r back
I was in a band back in 1994 to 2006 with my brother. I was the singer and my brother was the Bass Player and back up vocal. We we're inseparable. I'm 3 yrs older than him. We worked a full time job, played together in a band and lived together as well. Anyway, we we're on a summer tour and my brother and I had got into an argument and he pulled a knife on me and stabbed me on my rib cage. Thank God it didn't puncture deep. I went to the hospital and got stiched up. When I got out , my band was basically broken up. because my brother and I got stupid with each other. It took me 4 months to reach out to him. I can relate to this story. This was my brother. My band members became my brothers. They we're all torn from this Mistake my brother and I had made. Time has slowly healed the wounds. We never got back together as a band. To this day our friends and family wanted us to get back together , but we never did. I applaud these guys for hashing out their problems. And staying together. They are awesome guys and an excellent band.
This aged like milk in the hot sun. Shocker
yt algorythm just did it again lol
Took the words right out of my mouth.

This is the heaviest breakdown in metal history
5 grown men sit down and discuss emotions. Metal af
hahahahahaha I don't want to take away from the importance of this video but jesus christ that's hilarious and true
5 grown men sit and discuss their emotions surrounding an attempt on someone's life**
Mike, fuck off! 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
Nah Mike is right. Pretty fucking wise and mature to have a discourse especially about something as serious.
Metal is the most emotional music there is.
Well... 6 years later Tim was left completely alone. Fate is not without irony....
but it´s nice to see that there was forgivness or at least attempts of such.

Nick is one of the nicest guys in Metal. I met him. Super nice guy even though he was sick that nick.
His cousins are my god-brothers so we've hung out a few times. He really is a super nice dude. It sucked seeing what Nick's family had to go through with what happened with Tim.
Met him twice and can confirm the guy is an absolute sweetheart on top of one of the most underrated shredders in the game.
Nick Hipa is an amazing dude. always very nice no matter the circumstances
OblivionFall ..FUCK YEAA!!..LOVE THESE GUYS!!!😍😍😍😊☺
I would have never ever thought that they would reunite with the original lineup. It's almost a miracle
The lineup that made An Ocean Between Us and everything after
Jairo Droz Evan White was the original bassist too.
Timmy Turner Well said! i start listening with this line up
They all know how big they are and how damage they can do being together in this band
If you mute the sound when Jordan Mancino is talking you would almost thing they are just sitting there silently waiting for a bird to come out of his beard. You would have no idea his mouth is moving.
What an insensitive douche!!!
lol
As fucking stupid as this comment is, I cant help but laugh hysterically. Good one, mate
Well im not retarded so i think i under hisituh moving means talking
Gotta say, it's a badass beard
Nicks my favorite, he just completely lets it out and doesn’t hold back a shred of emotion... the way he went into depth like how his personal life was affected, how he couldn’t get away from it cause everyone would ask him about it and the sheer deterioration of his physical health due to the stress was just... beyond words. Glad these guys did this to show just how affected everyone was, both on an individual and collective level.
he definitely looks the most burdened in this discussion.

This did not age well lol
Yeah… it didn’t

They all look so defeated. 2 of them look like they're in trouble and waiting in the principal's office, one looks like he's in mourning, and Nick looks like he was rudely awoken from a deep sleep and forcefully dragged out of bed.
THE FUN IS OVER!!!!....that time..then there was some more fun but, NOW THE FUN IS OVER AGAIN
Nick is the purest soul in metal. There's nothing more metal than displaying your emotions in a healthy manner. There's nothing more metal than passion. Love this band. Tim, you better not screw this up again. You guys need this band and your fans as much as we need you.
Tim screwed this up again. Sorry pal.

I’m glad to see repentance, grace, respect, forgiveness, healing, and just an over all resurgence of faith in each of these dudes.
I’m from the future… it didn’t work out.
Nick looks like he's been losing a lot of sleep over this.
🤣
Beyond the music, there are fundamental lessons for us all to learn from here. Take from it what you will. Thanks guys for making the effort to open up publicly and whatever the future holds, I hope growth and healing is found.
William Patino tough stuff. No black and white.
Though it’s very hard to forgive him, I am optimistic about the future.

These guys are still healing. You can sense the anxiety in the room. It seems genuine. I hope it is. This was my favorite band.
The feels during Nick's part were so intense, I actually shed some tears
Keenan D same here bro
Same I was emotional through the whole thing
Definitely pretty hard to watch without feeling some strong emotions
Guess I'm weird. I loled
Yeah, I didn't think it would hit me....but it did.

That's what so many don't seem to be able to understand.

To all the commentors saying they look like shamefaced puppy dogs as I've seen on several blogs, you must not know anything about male expression of emotion. They're barely holding on in this video because this talk is pulverizing their hearts. It's so easy to pass mindless judgments, but you should stop.

People always act stupid when men "get emotional" but we're all human and we all have emotions and express it differently. Especially men. And if we would just accept that men have emotions that need to be expressed too then we would be better off.
Look at the sadness that Nicks been holding onto.

You guys are amazing people. Seeing the raw emotion and hearing it directly from each of you brings so much perspective to the past 5 years. While watching this I couldn't help but here the chorus to A Greater Foundation in my head.

So here's to hoping that the best AILD is yet to come!

I'll never forget when they released the My Own Grave music video and smiling ear to ear at just how great of a song it was, and the fact that all the original members were back in a room jamming out like that :')
Edit: it’s 2024 and all 3 new members plus Phil have now left and Tim is going to continue with AILD with completely new members. Wow. This really aged like milk.
release at least one more AILD then work on the side projects
To find out Jordan actions is what pushed Nick out and then Josh to leave because he wasnt answering any of their calls for 2 years once COVID canceled shows and Jordan was mad other shows were canceled because people were boycotting Tim. So he wanted to boot Tim and take the AILD name.
@@tormentridden Is that true though?
idk, they picked up Unearth's guitarist and drummer and Miss May I's bassist.. that's a solid lineup.
@@hhaste If Jordan officially leaves, which I assume he already did(?) then Tim will fully own the band and I’m sure he’ll continue it since it pays the bills. I’d be interested in a new album with this line up, but really I just want new Pyrithion. That’s all I want.
I just want these guys to know how much hardship they got me thru. For years as I lay dying was all I had. Love you guys and I’m so happy you’re back.
With love, a Colombian fan :)
looks like the "last supper"
dasadopeboy oh shit.... who's Judas then?

Interesting
dasadopeboy As serious and heartfelt as this video is, this is funny af
...Well this didn't last long.
All I see is 4 people who genuinely hate their front man. I do not know why Phil stayed. I can only assume it is because he refuses to leave sole ownership to him.
Most likely he stayed cuz that’s how he makes his living 🤷♂️
I love you guys. genuine.
This was heavy. Mad respect for you guys taking responsibility and dealing with all this. It’s extremely rare to ever see stuff like this.
I love Nick. I feel bad that even after this video, he dealt with it again and had to leave. I hope for the best for him
Much respect to all of them for putting this honesty out there.
It kinda goes along with their lyrics for A Greater Foundation "Sometimes we have to watch our whole lives fall apart,
Before we can rebuild them again,
A greater foundation". I've always loved this band and I hope they can continue grow from this experience and be successful
Is it me or Jordan Mancino looks like the Lorax lol
WHERES MY GODDAMN TREE SEED

(EDIT)
After watching: Nick is crying and now I am crying.
God protects Nick Hipa at all costs 🙏🏼
He just left the band.
They look like 5 friends who are all getting in trouble by the principle… awesome video! 🤘🏼
