I think you just need to lighten up, dude, and I don't mean this to insult you, I realize nothing good will come out of that. There's no excuse bringing other people, subgenres and bands down because you personally have a distaste for it. Keyword, personal. What you have are opinions, not facts. Quite literally nothing in any art form, whether it be games, animation, paintings, or music is objective, it's all within the eye of the beholder. Saying I'm a "core kid" and a "superficial fan" because I had the cutzpah to say I don't like black metal is so funny to me. Yea, I dont like it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to exist or that it doesn't have real impact and meaning for the scene and people who love it. Every genre has value and purpose, and I think they all deserve to exist and make people happy, and satisfy all sorts of tastes within the metal scene. Sure, I'm a "core kid" and I have no shame in saying it. But I also really enjoy plenty of Death, Thrash and older styles and bands just fine. Metal is metal to me, if I enjoy how it sounds, then I'll listen to it, I couldn't care less of what some sad elitist thinks of what im listening to. I shouldn't be beholden to what I listen to because some old farts and gatekeeping, delusional weirdos think it doesn't deserve to exist and "isn't metal". I mean it when I say that I hope you realize how silly you sound, and that genuinely, nobody in the real world cares about what is or isn't metal, our scene is already looked down upon as is, we don't need pointless in fighting like this to make it look even worse. And I am certain would never say stuff like this to someone irl wearing a BMTH shirt or something, because without anonymity of the internet, you risk, you know, actual consequences to what you say. Just go with the flow, man. I genuinely don't see what's so...gratifying about putting others, bands and genres down because you don't like them. Find something that actually makes you happy.
For Timmy, this will be like the time i was 11 watching the South Park episode with Korn on it. My tiny mind was blown when they played Falling Away from me at the end
i for one am proud of the metal community on this one. look how far we have come from most people not even knowing or caring that we exist, or outright putting us down, to now, our favourite metal artists are able to collaborate with anyone and our music gets heard around the world. It's a great feeling imo that metal/hardcore is finally being respected at large again like it was in the 70's, 80's, and 90's when guitar was cool. We went through a rough patch in the 2000s where it seemed like pop/rap was the only music allowed. But, now I'm glad to see metal, and even hardcore is getting seen and heard by the public again. Almost everyone these days has at least heard of one or more metalcore bands, a post-hardcore band, or maybe even a full on metal band based on all these types of collabs. Imo this is awesome. It's a great time to be a metalhead!
Maybe it's being as old as I am but... this... gives me so much hope. Little girls seeing Poppy cut loose with that scream and realizing metal is for EVERYBODY. Little guys hearing drop A and falling in love with it and asking santa for a seven string for christmas. Warms my old, cold heart, man.

When I write something off, it's because I've actually listened to it in great detail over many years.
We're not the same.
@7ChaosBlack Do you realize how much of an utter pretentious goober you sound like right now? Also, who do you think you are thinking you know me, or how "superficial" of a metal fan I am?
That Poppy scream and Bryan squeal gimme goosebump
Conan was always great about having metal bands on his show
The intro to Suffocate sounds so much like the intro to Machine Head's Violate, I just can't ever get that out of my head when I hear this song.
Happy Thanksgiving Nik and Paula. This performance was f'n insane. 🤘
For Timmy, this will be like the time i was 11 watching the South Park episode with Korn on it. My tiny mind was blown when they played Falling Away from me at the end
Poppy got soooo better at live screams
i for one am proud of the metal community on this one. look how far we have come from most people not even knowing or caring that we exist, or outright putting us down, to now, our favourite metal artists are able to collaborate with anyone and our music gets heard around the world.
I’ve seen this so many times and I legitimately get this biggest smile every time and a little teary eyed. Just so cool
Poppy is actually good
I can't believe this happened! I'm from the Netherlands, and here we only got the really tame and widely popular radio friendly bands or artist performing at late night shows. Like, if it ain't boring and having been done for over a decade, it's not good enough.
I knew Nik Nocturnal would cover this 😂
they delivered on EVERY level. the sound is incredible, the performance was raw... the pit was looking insane... they've got people calling in over this. I'm like... proud for them. once in a lifetime performance. this might end up being one of those defining moments that changes everything.
4:33 Poppy started a bit crunchy, but she has throat singing down like a clown, love it, they sound sick together🤘
Wow what a performance. And to see something this heavy on this level of a stage is really cool!
Give Poppy all the credit because she's a legit.
That made me sooooo fuckin happy to see that! And then I look at the comments and I see you talking about fun metal things 😂😂😂
0:22 he also had rammstein, just a fun fact
Weak sauce.
@@wintersmill4853 I wouldn’t agree necessarily but sure, diffrent tastes and all that jazz
Rammstein is literally dad rock
@@MrPatrickbuit and that’s bad why exactly, still heavy
@@urosrepic3157 It's not heavy lol. Nothing against Rammstein. They're extremely succesful for a reason, but that's literally a band that gets radio play on more or less every bandwith with songs like Du Hast.
Incomparable to Knocked Loose, which makes music that's completely inaccessible to the average person. That's why this performance is groundbreaking.
Just saw them and Hatebreed in Wallingford, CT. Best show I've ever been to
I wanted to hate Poppy’s vocals here, but dude she killed it. Ngl.
wtf what a sick delivery, holy moly :O
Now i get to bad omens with their single V.A.N.
Watching Poppy’s 180 degrees turn in musical direction and look has been magnificent to behold.
When I first heard knocked loose I had to check if Michael blaustein was the singer. I was sad to find out this wasn’t a Clark Kent scenario
I hear it xD
I liked a couple knocked loose songs before I saw this but i did a deep dive after and I'm obsessed now! Crazy what one performance can do to your musical palet!
Poppy went Moan Core at the end
Their entire set was amazing, all from the new album
Suffocate
Don't Reach For Me
Moss Covers All
Take Me Home
Sit & Mourn
Shit was insane bro. Turning normies in metalheads. Hell yeah
hearing about the calls for apology makes me laugh, happy, and kinda hurt my feelings all at once
Poppy always kills it vocally 🔥🤘🏼
Knocked Loose performing a pig squeal on live tv is epic and i didn't know how much i needed it.
I voted, even though I don't know half the bands listed, since we listen to such different music within the same genre...
Also, Ratatata was the most fun of all the fun metal things this past year.
That was a great song,EC and Babymetal go so well together
Shit and not metal.
@oldworldpatriot8920 Ikr! And I think metal can often be way too serious and gloomy, these bands know how to make it fun!
I mean, Nik knows, too, but he can't nominate himself.
As a decades long hardcore fan, I am so happy for the success Knocked Loose as had. Legit good hardcore finally getting a moment?
💀💀💀 Poppy was sick tho
*though. Nice Normie spelling, poser.
Metal is making a comeback and I’m here for it!!!
