At Luma pools, Hetfield was a full 60 seconds ahead but his death in the Mora's fight means that he's only 30 seconds ahead. The rest of the run is legendary.
I played this game,and just seeing them exploiting everything just makes me absolutely jealous. GG y'all!
Same here. Especially during the Moldwood forest part, I dies so many times because of the darkness and now I find out the bow could have saved me!

This is such a good race. I don't think there was a single time either runner was more than a minute behind, and the movement from bpth players the whole time was just. Chef's kiss. Pristine. And seeing Skarfelt, who was just a *smidge* behind the whole race, pull ahead of Hetfield at the last possible moment? After all the death defying stunts they went for the whole run? WILD
What a beautiful game in every respect, and ridiculous props to both Hetfield and Skarfelt for an incredibly enjoyable race. Congrats to Skar for their victory! 💚

PLEASE don’t read the comments until you finish this race! It’s full of surprises and you don’t want it spoiled! One of the most exciting speedrun races I’ve ever seen.
Man, so I know it came down to rng at the very end, but they finished within about 10 seconds of each other when there were times when Skarfelt was like a whole minute behind. So I say making up that time is the biggest reason Skarfelt won. Awesome race.

It was about 12 seconds between the runner at the very end. just because of a different pattern.
if i was hetfield and cared at all about wining i would be pissed. was ahead by decent amount and RNG lost the race for him.

What an unbelievable ending
This game was criminally overlooked when it comes to Game of the Year awards. Definitely one of my highlights of 2020
This run was amazing head to head and RNG change everything so cool shout out to the runners
A beautiful race to go with a equally beautiful game, it brought out some interesting tricks to light for me, namely the regen booster and the sentry jumping. Congrats to the winner on a job well done.
Also want to add, even in a speedrun setting the story, music, and most important the emotion permeating this game through and through always manages to bring a tear to my eye, especially the ending sequence of Ori making his way to Seir. I hope against hope, that this won't be the last we see of a story in Ori's world, I hope that the last bit of the ending is a hint at a possible sequel in the future ❤❤

Why didnt they play on easy?
The category Main quest order requires it.
i dunno about the ori games being about exploration, to me they felt much more focused on puzzle plataforming, tricky jumps and mobility.
Garbage that the whole run comes down to boss RNG. Hetfield ahead the whole race and didn’t even mess up that last fight.
