It's slow, I don't like some of its policies (reprints mostly) and the high fantasy lore/aesthetic doesn't appeal to me.
That and the community I've interacted with in person was super toxic.

😢 We played Booster Draft that time..now 1 Booster is 15€ worth.. It was a Just 2 Hours of Fun. At least we played and had fun,Not Just opened for nothing.

Ye gold humor, also the first upside down land came with a upside-down rare that the art was upside-down. This set is great xD
this opening was absurd. the average foils per box is 3-4. i've opened 3 boxes of this set and never got a foil land or rare.
The foil lands were worth more than the rest.
@@Beetlesiri yeah, true monetary wise they are worth much more. i believe the mountain is a healthy 50$. but a lot of people collect Un foil sets. and foil Un rares are very difficult to find. because a lot of people throw the cards that aren't lands away after drafting it or just leave them on the table at the LGS. i'd even venture to say only 10% of the magic community ever even buy an Un box at any point.
Some Rudys get all the luck.
It says right on the box (and in the video) 36 packs, 15 cards per pack, 1:70 foil. 540 cards divided by 70 is 7.7. It's not that hard yet people still make this stuff up as if they have insider info.

ah man the memories, I have a little story, and this was indeed an amazing box!
I went to the Unhinged prerelease, but could only arrive late since I had to work that date. So what I did was ask my LGS owner if I could prepay for the event and have a friend open my cards for me and maybe play the first rounds until I made it. The community was little back then at my hometown and the event wasn't going to be sanctioned, so he asked a couple players in the community and nobody had an issue with it. So my friend cracked a Richard Garfield Ph.D. and built a very solid deck with 4 Stop That (best gotcha card in the set), three Double Header and a Spell Counter. We* won that prerelease :) man the feeling of playing Garfield and go mental magic to "cast" a Force of Will for the win at the final lmao
We won a box. And yeah, that box had like two foils only and none was a basic land, so this video's box... holy crap.
Oh also at that prerelease this girl opened a foil Richard Garfield! and it is sweet, the foil version has Garfield's signature on it. I tried so hard to convince her to trade it with me, I offered multiple fetchlands and other cool cards I wasn't trying to scam her I knew it was a good card, but it was her very first foil card so she didn't accepted. Now I go check the price of it, damn.... I hope she still has it and knows the price, it's a cool investment.

I remember opening 5-6 boxes of this set, by far the best opening I've seen. SUPER lucky, great pulls.
Around 2008 I bought a box of Unhinged for ~70 dollars. Opened it, enjoyed the product, put it away in binder sheets. Unfortunate that I didn't just sit on the box to flip for a 10x profit, but I did at least make $400+ on selling the cards because the full art lands fetched a fortune about 5 years ago.
I love the un sets. I dont know of any other card game that printed joke sets. Plus the full art lands are so beautiful.

I LOVE the old Un sets. I want to get hold of an unglued box to run an Un-Un-masters draft when masters sets are released. (I already have the unhinged box), I have a Rich Gar PhD commander deck.

This is my favorite set. I used to spend all of my money at some card store at the mall to buy unhinged,pack by pack.
Not every card in this set was printed in foil version just a fyi
when I did the pre-release for this set, I brought a stack of junk commons with me just in case I pulled Collector Protector (I did). Also got to imprint Who/What/When/Where/Why on Isochron Scepter thanks to a good pack of darksteel off of a booster tutor. I ended up winning the event because I got help from someone wanting revenge for losing...they cast Ass Whuppin' on a card that was giving me fits controlled by my opponent.
I also love this set and have two sets of it...a regular and foil one.
Hey, what’s the difference between this one and pre-release box? Cards are different? Not all are included?
This set is how I got into magic 2012, I found a binder of these cards in a flea market for $55!!!!!! complete set with 89 land cards (7 foil!!!!!) along with several other rare cards including Zendikar Fetch lands.
While researching MTG I found another binder on ebay, $110 with what looked like Rise of the Eldrazi Mythics. Got the folder and the page that I wanted had Promo Emrakul and normal Emrakul.....but not just 1....full playsets....foil playsets!!!!!!!!!! The folder had Playsets of all the mythics and rares in FOIL!!!!
2 weeks later I had complete playsets of Innistrad, Ascension and restored plus an EDH colourless deck without paying another cent.
I opened a case of Unhinged back in the day when they were dirt cheap. Normal average was two to three foil lands per box.
Rudy, the feel of this set is the nostalgia of NOT living in a PC world.
No PC bullshit and also no major corporation cutting production cost becuase they are not making enough money on sales so they need to make more money

I played with unglued when I was a kid. I got out before the other two. This was a very enjoyable video.

Rudy when you open older boxes, you should tell us some expensive cards that you could pull. It gives us the audience some excitement when you pull one.
I played in a prerelease tournament for Unglued. First pack I opened a foil Island, fell in love with it instantly. A few months later I bought a couple of cases of it off eBay for $35ish a box. Made a whole foil set. And also last rare he pulled was Johnny Combo Player, not card player. In foil it is worth a good amount.

Using the current TCGPlayer price guide, I'm getting a total of $543.96 between the foils (170.04), lands (262.76), rares (76.78), and uncommons (34.38). Interestingly, we've seen 2-4 of every uncommon except: Booster Tutor, Deal Damage, Emcee, Granny's Payback, Kill! Destroy!, Mise, Name Dropping, Spell Counter, and Zombie Fanboy. I only bothered with the uncommons because there were a couple non-foils over $1. (Cheatyface is the highest at $3)
im thinking that liner is a joke how the packs and starter decks use to come with a pull tab. The pack itself is paper while the inside is basically a regular pack.

Hot tub was a website designed to allow you to search for a specific word and have it populate all cards that contained that same word. It was all to help with using the card itself.

This is by far my favorite expansion, I played a draft back in the day and opened a lot of packs, I even got a foil swamp that I still have. Eventually I finished completing the set (with ultra secret tech and all).
If only Wizards would reprint this set, I would so play it. This set is fantastic! Unfortunately I didn't get i to Magic until Aether Revolt was out so sadly I missed out of this
