Honestly, I understand. With Inflation ,materials and labor costs on the rise you have to charge more but if you’re looking to build a 4,000sqft home and a 2,000 sqft shop like we are that’s between $740,000-$810,000 and that’s not accounting upgrades. I rather be my own contractor and sub out everything to save money but I respect what you guys do.
I think you'll be surprised to find out that these prices are not out of the ordinary. You'll probably save some money doing it on your own but I guarantee that your build time will take 3 times longer. You also will have to deal with considerable headaches if warranty issues or legal matters arise because you used so many different subs. So you need to factor that in because time is money. If you don't care about taking 2 years to build a house then yeah, you can probably get it down to $150/sqft. But ask yourself this: what extra expenses are you paying in the meantime? That much extra rent can end up making up the difference. But if you want a company like this to come in, build in 6 months, and warranty everything in the home at once, then it's worth the extra money. Just food for thought.
Not a bad price for custom. If you did this in Florida it would be well over a million. Material cost expensive now and lots of nice things in this build. I have been in Real Estate over 41 years with Remax. Houses prices are up all over. Bad for the poor first time buyers.😢
I thought he said $120/sq foot in another video and now also $185/sq foot. That is a gigantic difference. Was it inflation or a home with more upgrades? You can build a normal house for that price.
Been watching videos. The one you’re referring to had lots of porches, a garage and a carport. In that video he grouped all the “under roof” square footage and came to $120. I was disappointed as well.
If you have half a million to spend, GO FOR IT. @14:54 1785 square foot total heated and cooled 490$ on the porches little over 600 on the carport 750 for the shop and we're looking at about a $425,000 build from 1845 baram miniums
We do! We can build in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, NC, SC, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi! Heck we have contractors that can build in several states!
Yes we can. We have preferred contractors through the US to help complete our builds! We can work on finding a reputable contractor for your build. We would love the opportunity!
On one of your descriptions of your models you have typo.... It says custom ( care)garage. Also on some of your videos, you don't show 2nd & 3rd bedroom closets (which is important to know how big) Also why don't you list the prices for these models, not customs.😢😮 One model in the garage all you see is spray foam, you do cover that right?😮 Roll up doors, is that standard?? No garage door openers..😮😢
With all due respect, I hate to burst your bubble, but $115-$125 is not fair for a custom built home (in this area). Even many of the manufactured homes are in the $110 per square foot range. And no, I do not have any affiliation with this company, just a normal guy who is in the industry and actually understand the back-end of things.
Totally understand. We can provide floor plans for your new barndo.. We wish the best in building your dream home!! Thank you for watching our channel!
Wow, disappointing & I thought I'd found someone finally in my area to build me one. Oh well, there are others who can build solid standard quality bardo's. These are definitely bardo's for one's whom money is not an issue. I'll watch for this new Macy line you speak of in a couple of weeks that you say is more affordable, will see what your idea of affordable is.😊
@@ghilliemanreviewsMy childhood home just sold for $900k in 2020. Parents bought it for $147k in 1990. Their mortgage payment was under $400 a month and my parents sold it a year after paying it off. They bought a home in Seven Lakes, NC for $300k that's worth $450k now. That is the American Dream lol. Paid off house. Half a million in the bank with my mom's 401k and my dad's pension lol. Save cash you'll have a chance a fire sale homes in 2-3 years.

Thank you so much this is super helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Way to expensive. Can build a stick and brick for less. Shows your just taking advantage of people trying to change from stick & brick. No thank you

@@1845Barndo that is so wonderful we are planing to move to TN in the next 3-5 years and want to build our forever house
Also they literally said $6.50+ sq foot for vinyl flooring. They literally charging tripple! These ppl are scamming us by 200%+
Can you build out side Texas like Ohio

I love the homes y'all build, but I'm planning a barndo to save money. 200k plus to me isn't feasible.

Is it possible to have a build for $250-$280k ????
I'm with you brother, $300K my max.

lol you cannot build a stick built home for less than this maybe same price but not less
Never fall for Custom cabinets! It’s 5x overpriced and it’s racially the same thing they use .
Half a million for 1700 sq ft.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Bidenomics
Yeah ok. Ridiculous
They wonder why the house market is going to crash. I see why. Way too much. My parents built a 3000 square foot in 1996 for like 180k. Ridiculous.
