- In this weeks's episode, Charlie shows us the completed Addyson floor plan. This #dreamhome is over 2500 sq ft with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The exterior stone wainscoting and large porches really make this barndo look amazing! The carport breezeway attached to the 30 x 40 shop turns the Addyson into the total package. I found this a very helpful tour , especially appreciate the room dimensions given and the bed sizes for comparisons . Those queens appear as just doubles in video , good you clarified this . Your kids are all so tidy ! Kudos to them all . Your walk ways are planned out well , so important. 👍 very nice .

Really like the floor plan over all. Since there is an office, I think I would want to take bedrooms 2,3,4 and combine them to make just 2 larger rooms with slightly bigger closets. One room a second suite and the other bathroom be open for use when having people over

Do you have any plans that include a totally separate ADU or MIL space? Like ideally I'd love to see a two or maybe three bedroom house on one side, garage in the middle and one bedroom suite on the other side.
Wondering why so many barndos are built with a black roof. Seems to me that black would draw in more solar heat. In Texas that seems wrong to me.

Thank you for the tour. Love "ideas" of a barndominium, vs traditional especially older homes, being maintenance free. Strange points of design, slab on grade not raised or slopped, primary bedroom right inside the front door, coffee "fanatics" drink from a Keurig(?), bedroom and laundry room right off dining room/living room.

I really like that floor plan, great use of space. Just an observation, I think I would have taken 12 to 18 inches from the pantry and pushed the refrigerator back. It looked like there was enough depth on that left hand side to do that. Loved the covered back porch, would like to see more of that and I saw a door back thee, storage room? Really nice, if I were ready to build, that would probably be the floorplan I would choose.
Love the lower ceiling in the kitchen and dining area to keep the echo down.

Do you have any kits that have a 45 ish foot long and 12 foot tall garage for an rv to fit inside? An extra if need smaller pay for a vehicle would be ideal too.

1 Small add you'll want soon are toe kickers on the corners of your island. The paint job is beatiful and it would be a shame to cover it, but alas. Some steel would save the woods shape.

Really gotta crank your neck for that fireplace TV, it probably wouldve fit just fine to the left on its own angled stand. TV/Fireplace wouldve still been center focus of the couch and probably enough room to get back to the guest room.

Yes! at the time of the shoot a lot of the owners personal items were in the shop and did not want to film, but plan to soon!

We used vinyl plank flooring in the barndo.
