    thank you so much for your review, I just signed up a few weeks ago, start my first class 4/12. MSN education. Hearing your review has made me feel much better. I've been in nursing for 19 years so going back to school is a little scary! A lot of my coworkers are doing MSN with Walden which also makes me feel better!

    Great review! I also attended Walden University and just graduated with my MSN in nursing education this past August 2022. I also had a great experience at Walden and share your cons, especially with the clinical courses and all the requirements, preceptors, and affiliation agreements.

      Hi Danielle, the reason why most students fail Walden University examination is because multi-tasking professional calling and academic learning is not an easy task. However, personally I have worked with several students which have eased their academic life at Walden University. Simply, if you are talking BSN or MSN or any other nursing course at Walden University, email me at florencelee120@gmail.com. I will provide you with discussion and assignment drafts. Thank you

    Am making my decision on where to attend online MSN PMHNP. Haven’t been at the bedside in a bit. Have worked in clinics. Have cardio, ob, gi, and aesthetic experience. Wanting to go back to obtain credentials that will allow me to give back to the mental health community.

    I am thinking of getting my MSN FNP through them. I looked and it’s a lot cheaper than my local universities for the program. People say online isn’t good but it fits me, being a working mom and I have other obligations. It was already a lot on me when I got my undergrad and couldn’t work during nursing school. I want to continue to work and go to school. Also they have a ADN to MSN which is great for me so I don’t have to get my BSN first before applying to the program, I get while I’m in the MSN program

    Thanks for this video! I start in the MSN in education program at Walden on 11/30! I am excited to get started but a little nervous about going back to school after 7+ years. This video gave me a lot of insight about what I should expect. Any other tips/tricks/hints would be great! What are you doing now that you are done with school?

    • @TheLifeofTM
      @TheLifeofTM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omg how exciting! Super excited for you! You will do great. The teachers are amazing and so supportive. A good work/life/social balance is key. Stay on top of your discussion posts, ask the instructors for help on any assignment and they will elaborate to ensure you get the highest possible score. Communicate if an assignment is going to be late and they will work with you. Focus on the rubric and be as thorough as you can. I got promoted to supervisor at my job and now teaching part time for a private nursing school ! Let me know if you have any questions. You can DM me on Instagram: @thelifeof_tm if you have an IG.

    I can vouch for Walden as well. I’m completing the MSN-FNP program, and I must share that the professors in every course, the advisors, and the field office personnel for the practicums classes, are absolutely outstanding! Put in the time and effort, and you can do it. I agree with securing a clinical site, that part is the toughest.

    I see a lot of mixed reviews about Walden I’m really considering starting my MSW degree at this university and I want to to know if I am making the right choice . I know that masters degree in general is no walk in the park and you have to put in hard work and dedication . But can someone give me a reassurance that it’s a good school ?

      @TheLifeofTM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey!! Thanks for your comment. I felt the same way when I seen the reviews. Unfortunately I can only speak to my experience and that was with the MSN program. I hope someone can comment and express their experience with the MSW program. Best of luck with finding a school!! Whatever school you pick, I know you’ll do amazing ☺️☺️

    Finding Walden affiliated preceptors looks hectic for me. How did you get that link? I am Walden student who is finding appropriate preceptors in my field site.

    • @TheLifeofTM
      @TheLifeofTM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for reaching out. On your walden home page where you can see what class you are enrolled in, scroll down to the bottom. You will see a link with the name "Meditrek." Click on it and sign into your account. Once signed in, click on "Search Affiliation Agreements" then fill out all the search boxes. Once you locate an affiliation field site reach out to your academic counselor to find out if that affiliation agreement is current and active. Then reach out to that field site and inform them that you are a student from Walden and an affiliation agreement already exists for their site and you'd like to connect with a preceptor that has the qualification you are looking for based on your program. Hope this helps!!

    Hello! I am curious how you decided on the MSN in nursing education. I know you are working in public health and am curious why you did not pursue the MSN in public health at Walden. I am passionate about public health so am trying to decide between MPH, MSN in public health, or MSN in education. Thanks so much!

    • @TheLifeofTM
      @TheLifeofTM  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your question. I want to eventually teach RN students part time. In California if you want to teach RN students then you must posses a MSN in Nursing Education. If I did not want to teach in the future then I would have chosen the MSN in Public Health. I prefer the MSN rather than the MPH because the MSN focuses on the clinical medical knowledge side of public health. If your looking to be a leader or a manager in the professional nursing practice role of public health than the MSN is the right choice. If you don’t mind the role you will have in public health or you aren’t looking to be in a manger role over nurses then the MPH would be a great fit. The MPH allows you to perform various roles within public health and doesn’t limit you to only focus on teaching or doing research. Hope this helps.

      @Mohammed it took me two years to complete the prerequisites and then it took me about a year to finish my dissertation. The cost I don’t remember exactly but I think it was around 80,000 no I did not help me attain my professional goals. Everywhere I got hired to be a professor I did prior to me finishing my degree I thought that getting my PhD would help me get picked up at different universities easily. It did not. I feel that I have a pretty heavy résumé and such items such as CPP, six sigma black belt, advising the Pentagon and presidential security still not enough to get picked up. Furthermore, I applied to Walden university themselves and did not did not even reply back. I don’t think it’s worth it.
