@Jasmine Rogers I took patho by itself just to be able to put my focus into the class.. I read chapter summaries, watched David Woodruff TH-cam videos, and I did practice questions.
Im starting my last quarter the end of the month. Its been difficult juggling my full time job and my children but in so happy to almost be done. Its not a diploma mill. If you go into just trying to meet the bare minimum you will not get anything out of it. A program like this requires students to be proactive and curiois. Read the resources, do research, get the book and actually read them. Go under the surface. Its very rewarding.
I plan to transfer from USU. i stopped after passing adv patho so the only classes I have left will be adv pharm and health assessment and the psych np focus classes.
@RN PRN So awesome, packed with important information! Thank you so much! After talking to many NP/NP-students, it seems that preceptorship is one of the biggest obstacles. I think at this point, it seems to me, that maybe seeking out to rotation brokers might be the way to go? What do you think?
Ii am in the middle of my 6002 program and start my 6050 class Nov 28. I am also a PMHNP student working full time with a young family. I am in Massachusetts which I think you are in as well.
Hey, Stephen! Yes, I am in Mass, the south shore area. It's doable. I actually took the summer semester off because of family. I always said that my priority in life is family, work, then school. The school will always be there, the family time I can never get back. Work, lol I can't be homeless, so that's def a priority over school. Keep me posted on your journey.
Have you had any trouble in MA getting a job? I’m also in MA and worried about finding preceptors and then a job because so many people are saying bad things about Walden 😞
@@RN-PRN thank you so much! My nurse mentor just told me I should go FNP route because it’s very hard to get psych info for a research project. Did you have any issues?
Hi Berry! All the NRNP exams were horrible. I think the most forward exam for me was the NRNP 6675 final. My highest score is 81, the rest were all in the high 70's.
What is requirements admission requirements of Msc PMHNP for international Bsc psychiatry nurse i am bachelor's PMHN 5 years work as psychiatric nurse in Ethiopia government health center i am on process to come American after came and live in American i want to upgrade my Bsc PMHN in msc PMHNP if it is possible for foreign ?
It is a diploma mill. And no reputable employer hires Walden grads. I know, because I’ve rejected 20+ Walden grads since I’ve been recruiting for my outpatient clinic.
Thanks for this post!
Next week is my final for patho. I'm convinced I'm going to end up with a B. I have an 88 right now. My instructor is a tough cookie!
That’s great. I’m taking patho next semester. Any advice? Do you recommend taking patho by itself?
@Jasmine Rogers I took patho by itself just to be able to put my focus into the class.. I read chapter summaries, watched David Woodruff TH-cam videos, and I did practice questions.
Thank you! I’m going to take it alone.

Is Walden going to give you the credits? Also, why not complete it in USU?

Yes, I agree. I would do it if it gives me a guarantee to graduate and if I have the funds.

Same Journey 6002...

Not at all! I made a video about my job search but just haven't posted it yet. The worst part is finding a preceptor that is willing.

I want to start! Are you a PMHNP now?? I’ll looking into Walden.

Hi, did you have to take a 3P or APEA exam before going into the psych courses?
Hello, there! Not sure what is 3P or APEA. But, I had to take Psych Pharmacology on top of Advance Pharmacology.
How did you study for nrnp6645, and how was the exams for u?

Nope nope

Damn.
Your narrow minded attitude and refusal to hire these grads doesn’t prove it is a diploma mill.
Which universities then is better
