Yes! Glad you chose this game! One of my faves as a kid. I didn't mind Cedric but as a kid in the 90s, I was just too engrossed and amazed by the multimedia goodness of this game. Also no shame if you have to lookup a few hints. I definitely had to get lots of hints to get through some of the puzzles.

Oh, I DEFINITELY couldn't have done this w/o stopping every 30 minutes to get help from the comments - having that constant "ummm.....did I mess up, guys?" was critical. There's so many deaths in this game that take place *hours* after you make the mistake, it's ridiculous.
The strange thing about Cedric's opinion of the gypsies is that they're actually vastly more helpful to Graham than Cedric is. So this wasn't just the developers having a negative view of Romani travellers, this was the developers making a deliberate choice to have Cedric be a huge racist. And that's really weird.
how did graham survive that fall in the beginning? considering how easily he dies for the rest of this story ... feels unfair :D aw man this game has so much good to it, but the bad is always there, slapping my nostalgia in the face. but somehow I also feel warm towards my suffering from back then :D
Also, no subtitles :( (I was able to finish the video today so I'm making another comment). The original had subtitles and no voices. Honestly, I wouldn't mind the voice acting except Cedric. Ugh, dear God. That voice. As others have stated, you will have to already restart due to the cat/rat puzzle. Rule of thumb is to save your game before using an item or going into a door. There's even one puzzle you can solve at the beginning of the game but if you use the item in the wrong place, it will screw you close to the end of the game and make it incompletable. I had about 20 save slots used when I finished this!!
I played this game with my dad when I was younger, the individual playing this game currently is only five minutes in and yet we both now Cedric sucks lol.

SAVE A LOT. Lots of fun but lots of dead ends
"I'm enjoying this already" all of us until we had to map the infinite desert. I played this in 96 at the age of 6 such great memories.
Oh my, these Sierra games can be so frustrating, they seem to actively punish curiosity and exploration... Although the talking Owl is a delight!
The voice acting is truly a blessing
This comment made me go back and rewatch that glorious opening cutscene, it truly is one of a kind.
Also most of the voices are staff who helped create the game. They didn't really have the funding for voice actors.

Unfortunately, you need to save the rat from the cat in order to be able to finish the game. You will need to restart the game.
