Hey buddy, Hill Billy here from KY...the land of Bourbon, Horses, College Basketball (University of Kentucky), and Guns. I have been watching your channel for almost 2 years. When are you taking a Vacation and coming over to the good 'ol US of A (of course we are about to become Communist...I pray we don't)? I can take you hunting and shooting some awesome rifles...and then treat you with some amazing good old Southern Cooking. Just let me know...😁
I like that the games in these lists are ACTUALLY obscure and mostly ones I haven't even heard of, unlike a lot of obscure game lists I've seen from other people in the past. Looking forward to trying some of these out.
It sucks that some publishers remove games, that could remain on GOG or Steam, for free at "worse". For the sake of art, video game history and just vintage fun, they should keep the game accessible some way or another.
As bad as this sounds at least when you pirate, you get a physical file of the game, which you can redownload at any time.... Publishers are forcing people to pirate....
I could also recommend Spellforce 3. It's an RPG/RTS hybrid. Might be a little long for this series though. A full playthrough including DLC took me 100 hours.

An important thing to point out about Pagan: Absent Gods. This game was originally Pagan Online on Steam. However, when the servers were to shut down, the devs wanted their game to stay playable for the people who wanted to play the game. That's why they packaged and configured the game for local and you can now play it as an offline game.

Hi C4G Regarding android and mobile RPGs , here are some you might want to take a look at for this obscure RPGs series: There is one called Almora Darkosen which is an open world isometric hack n slash retro RPG There is another called Vampire Fall Origins which is an open world turnbased vampire RPG and it has a steam PC version but the mobile version is free. There is also one called Naroth which feels like an android Oblivion from wish and there is one called Moonshades RPG which is a classic first person dungeon crawler RPG where you control 2 customized characters. There is a pretty good 2d platformer metroidvania RPG called Swordigo There is an open world tamer rpg like pokemon called Bot World where you try to capture and take control of different rogue bots. Note that all these RPGs mentioned above are purely single player ones which can also be played offline afaik. Vampire Fall has some online features like PVP matching but almost all pve gameplay is singleplayer for the most part. There is also Elona which requires being online to play if I remember correctly but is also mostly a singleplayer experience. Its a sandbox isometric retro RPG. It has a bit of an Elder Scrolls game feel to it. There is also Exiled Kingdoms which has diablo 2 vibes. There is Flourishing Empires as well as Lord & Master which play a bit like Mount and Blade but from wish. There is Never Gone which is a hack n slash 2d side scroller vampire RPG with combo based action combat like DMC. This one is rather grindy however and due to the nature of it having lots of combo commands on mobile , might cause carpal tunnel. There is another cool 2d hack n slash side scroller called Arcane Soul but it was removed from the playstore a few years back so the only way to get this one is from an archived APK nowadays. Darkrise is a 2d platformer RPG with various classes and skill tree for each. There is Inotia 4 which is an isometric semi open world ARPG with lots of classes. There is Mystic Guardian which is also an isometric ARPG with 3 playable protagonists with different stories , 1 of them is unlocked later on. Each protagonist has their own class options and classes upgrades a bit like Ragnarok class style. Epic Conquest 1 and 2 are anime hack n slash RPG series which play like a JRPG. They remind me of Tales of series. For roguelikes , there is Otherworld Legends which is an isometric ARPG roguelike with lots of characters/classes which have their own unique skill builds. It also has a steam version on PC. There is Prime of Flames which you won't find on the playstore for mobile but will find on taptap (the chinese playstore). This one is a solid team turnbased roguelike RPG with cool art. This one is originally a PC game on steam but its fully free on mobile , afaik. It doesn't require internet connection either, afaik. There is Not Enough Dungeons which is a very customized and barebones sandboxy darkest dungeon like squad turnbased RPG if that makes any sense. This one doesn't require internet connection as well , afaik. There is Endless Wander which is a pixel retro isometric roguelike ARPG and finally , there is Swordash which is a 2d hacknslash roguelike side scroller ARPG. Its grindy and possibly the worst on this list tbh. The last 2 games do have ads , afaik.

Space Siege is definitely not obscure, it was quite popular back in the days (when gaming magazines still existed). It really felt like top-down Prey (2006).
Just throwing in some that I might or might not have been mentioned before: - Avencast - Rise of the Mage : ARPG with little build variety and weak itemization, decent story, music, atmosphere. - Greed - Black Border: Same developer, but sci-fi this time and some of the same strengths and weaknesses, but overall worse. - Harbinger: ARPG in sci-fi setting; still haven't tried it. - Undungeon: Kind of an ARPG I think, but with pretty weird setting and so on. - Krater: Another obscure one that takes place in an unusual post-apocalyptic setting. - Torchlight III: Not as obscure and not as bad as sometimes suggested. Outside of Harbinger these are all on steam. Edit: - Ash & Rust: Still in EA. - Sunken: Roguelike ARPG. - Hinterland: Town-building ARPG. - Bloodlust Shadowhunter and its successor.
Does pressing triangle to invert Y axis in Ravensword not work? It looks like it's in the options, did you mistakenly turn it on? I'm a weirdo that uses inverted Y so it wouldn't bother me, but from your footage it definitely looks like an option.

I've been replaying Wizardry 7 and now 8 for the first time in over 20 years. I forgot how amazing these games were especially 8... It did so many things that I don't think I fully appreciated at the time because I thought games were just getting better, and they were all just going to implement this stuff and keep getting better. Now with so many years past, I'm looking around like why did no one continue from this spot? It just hit a peak, and stopped. Everything is so dumbed down now instead of trusting the player to learn & persevere
I played another rpg by the Ravensword developers on an Android phone back in the day. Like early 2010s. It was awesome for what it was, but I still miss the first person rog developed by the Jagx team for iPhone. Can't even remember the name, but it was badass

Have you tried that pirate themed ARPG game called "Rum and Gun" which is in Early Access on steam. It's a single dev passion project and it's dirt cheap. I think it deserves some love cause it's pretty nice.
Space Siege actually has really strong resemblance with other much older ARPG called Maximus XV Abraham Strong - Space Mercenary. Or by other name, Space Hack. Ye, second one is much comfortable to use, lol.
Okay, I think I'm at the point where I have to admit defeat. I have played precisely none of these games, and I only know about one of them (Space Siege) :p
Funny thing about that, Conan (2007) action adventure was supposed to be in this video. But I still didn't finish the game, so I postponed it. Thanks for those other suggestions as well.
What's that game at 0:13? I haven't made it past that point, been stuck at this timestamp for 16 minutes, so sorry if it's brought up later in the video. I need to know the game so I can avoid it
@@Icarus2377 Oh shit, no way? I spent hundreds of hours in BG 1 and 2 but never touched Dark Alliance. Guess it's time to. I'm so glad I missed out on so many games when I was a kid because now I have so many to enjoy lol. thank you!
I liked Space seige. But there was only two endings. Dont get a single upgrade "good ending". Even get one upgrade like the eye which is very useful and only 2% loss of humanity. "the still good but not as good". DOnt matter if you took just the eye or went full in spine brain eye leg and arm. Same ending.
Some more suggestions. Summoner 1 and 2. Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll Draken 1 and Draken: The Ancient's Gates Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr Ultra Age Code Vein Cronos: Before the Ashes Mortal Shell Salt and Sanctuary Outcast Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light LaraCroft and the Temple of Osiris Nioh and Nioh 2 Darksiders series(4 games) Castlevania Lords of Shadows games Redeemer: Enhanced Edition Gravity Rush 1 and 2 Demon's Souls and Bloodborne (Not sure if you've played those.)
Have I played any of these games? No. Have I heard of any of these games? No. Will I play any of these games? Probably not, although Space Siege looked kind of interesting. It reminds me of very old action games from the 1990s, only with better graphics. Dungeon Siege is one of those games I wish someone would remaster. It was widely criticized for dumbing down rpgs when it came out, although a lot of people liked it. I was one of the critical people, but then I played it a few years later and I thought it was great. It's one of the few games where I still have the CDs and the box.
PLEASE DO DRAKAN: ORDER OF THE FLAME I really would like to hear your opinion! Been posting on so many of your videos asking for this series to be checked out (second game moved to PS2 - definitely a different kind of game!)
As an arpg worshipper your pics are great, pagan would be a huge game for my taste but bad marketing decisions keep it down, legend hand of god was ahead from its time the combat anjmation depending of weapon type was good, space doege is avamdonware anymore but was a nice arpg space opera with moral decisions and last for laluna it had a unique lore based on central and south america folkore and mythology pretty nice voice voice acting and story and ir was.executwd well

Space Siege actually has really strong resemblance with other much older ARPG called Maximus XV Abraham Strong - Space Mercenary. Or by other name, Space Hack. Ye, second one is much comfortable to use, lol.
I just finished HTBAG and it was a great game.. so happy you showed me this selection :)
I have both Dungeon Seige and Space Seige. Great games.
Okay, I think I'm at the point where I have to admit defeat. I have played precisely none of these games, and I only know about one of them (Space Siege) :p
that is BEYOND obscure
Another interesting video covering games I've not played..
I am really not sure if you ever covered VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE - REDEMPTION
but if not, I want to recommend to everyone this wonderful gem
I'd love to see the Conan, Afro Samurai and Samurai Champloo games covered
Funny thing about that, Conan (2007) action adventure was supposed to be in this video. But I still didn't finish the game, so I postponed it. Thanks for those other suggestions as well.
Witcher games are the pillar of slavic mythology in games. There are probably more but I can't remember of the top of my head.
Love your vids. Keep up the good work.
Maybe not for this series as it's a new game that just came out of early access on Steam, but I really want to hear your opinion about Dwarven Realms.
i actually have space siege and i played ravensword on my first ipad years ago
Ravensword: Press Triangle in the options to fix Invert Y axis
What's that game at 0:13? I haven't made it past that point, been stuck at this timestamp for 16 minutes, so sorry if it's brought up later in the video. I need to know the game so I can avoid it
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance
Maybe you can try Mythos one day, the former mmorpg turned into a quick cash grap rpg
Game at 0:25?
Anima Gate of Memories
@@click4gameplay thanks man
9:05 where are you from, mate?
Funny, aluna is a Latin American game. It's also "student girl" in Portuguese. I wonder if it was intentional.

Moja najdraža serija na kanalu
Have you ever played the console rpgs Petz Catz 2 and The Dog Island?
25:25 every dnd fighter be like
You already covered legend :hog
I propably try ravensword shadowlords
Have I played any of these games? No. Have I heard of any of these games? No. Will I play any of these games? Probably not, although Space Siege looked kind of interesting. It reminds me of very old action games from the 1990s, only with better graphics. Dungeon Siege is one of those games I wish someone would remaster. It was widely criticized for dumbing down rpgs when it came out, although a lot of people liked it. I was one of the critical people, but then I played it a few years later and I thought it was great. It's one of the few games where I still have the CDs and the box.
Do you have videos for phone RPG games? I need some RPGs to play on my phone! 😊
Is that the same Aluna from Heroes of Newerth? It is, isn't it? I remember she wasn't their creation.
PLEASE DO
DRAKAN: ORDER OF THE FLAME
I really would like to hear your opinion! Been posting on so many of your videos asking for this series to be checked out (second game moved to PS2 - definitely a different kind of game!)
the Kingdom of TYREEEEESEEE YEAAAAH!
I played Space Siege . I didnt install too many mechanical components
What game is shown between 0:35 - 0:37?
Two Worlds 2
@@click4gameplay oh nice. completely forgot about that game lol
As an arpg worshipper your pics are great, pagan would be a huge game for my taste but bad marketing decisions keep it down, legend hand of god was ahead from its time the combat anjmation depending of weapon type was good, space doege is avamdonware anymore but was a nice arpg space opera with moral decisions and last for laluna it had a unique lore based on central and south america folkore and mythology pretty nice voice voice acting and story and ir was.executwd well
should check out konung series and planet alcatraz.
First two games in the intro?
Tako je ,bravo sine
You should try Nox from Westwood
