If you’re in the market for a German watch in 2021, I highly recommend Damasko. I just bought myself a DS30 Ocean on bracelet for Christmas, and I love it. Super thin, super legible, and, with the bead blasted ice hardened and submarine steel, super tooltastic. If nothing else, I’d love to see a review. I’m sure Mr. X could find the money for one in his couch cushions, lol.

My Casio World Time is one of my favourite if not the favourite watch, 18€ total, minus 1-2 seconds per month, ten year battery and ALL the functions which don't require some extra sensor. It's just a beast. If the resin strap dies some day, it will go on either a black 18mm mesh or a red&black zulu.

Hi Jody. I had a Vostok Amphibia that was gaining 7 seconds per minute. Demagnetizing didn't fix. Photographing its balance and videoing in slow motion showed coils of the hairspring touching and sticking together. A guy recommended brushing the hairspring with a tiny artists paintbrush dipped in alcohol to get the oil that was sticking the hairspring loops together. That fixed it!!! The only disassembly was removing the caseback. You may be able to fix your speedy Omega yourself!
I only have one watch in common with your collection, just goes to show how much variety is out there. I tend to find the newest watch gets the most wrist time, until I get another new one, at the moment it’s a Steinhart vintage red on a vintage leather strap, early in the new year it will be a Marloe Haskell Sand.
Hi, Jody. Lovely collection and incredible top five. The Seiko and the omega there- similar but timeless in design. Actually I am quite happy with the Yema customer service. This year I bought an Yema Superman maxi dial which was running at +18 sec- the specs for the in-house movement are +/-12 sec. I send it back under the guarantee on 11.11.20 and received serviced on 20.11.20. I am residing in Bulgaria, so super fast and accurate service and Yema staff were polite and responsive enough. True, I would have preferred COSC specification after the service but anyhow - now it runs at + 10 sec.
That Yema does look clean and crisp. I can see what you like about it. I agree with the Omega Aquaterra. It has the nice omega logo, wonderful indices and such high quality makes for great wrist presence.
I bought myself a Bulova MarineStar early in the year and wore it until I got a Phoibos Wavemaster after watching the JOMW review. Been wearing it ever since
I find myself watching your channel more than any others . Educational ,informative and great presenting skills that are rare on YT. Bought a couple of the watches you have featured on the strength of the reviews. Nice work!
I love your channel, Jody...you give watch enthusiasts a good name! Re your lack of a German watch for your permanent collection, I recommend a Sinn, specifically their 38.5mm pilot's chronograph model 356. I've got the now discontinued 356 Sa GR (Sa = sapphire (fyi, they have the same watch with acrylic for significantly cheaper), and GR = gangsreserve or something like that, German for power reserve), and it's one of my top three favorite watches (and my/my wife's collection includes Rolex, Zenith, IWC, Omega, Longines, Glycine, Squale, Seiko, a vintage Leonidas, plus any cheap heritage-esque-looking solar-powered thing I can find). The readily available 356 Sa is the same as my Sinn except that it has a day-o'-week window in lieu of the power reserve. I'm guessing it costs ~ $3200 as my pricier power reserve model cost me $3K back in 2016. Given your...how shall I say?...good Scotsmanship, it would likely be your second most expensive watch, but I don't think that you'd feel one iota of buyer's remorse. It's a fantastic looking and feeling watch, so well built, and I don't just use the chronograph to cook pasta...if you're creative, there are endless ways to use the chrono and pretend that it's coming in handy. Like you, I have a 7" wrist, and my Sinn 356 is my most flattering watch, rugged and masculine yet refined due to the modest size and to the excellent build quality. Mine's got an ETA, and I believe they now use SW...nothing special, but that's the reason it's not $5K...everything else is like a $5K watch.
Hello mister Jody , maybe you have hint for where to find bezel & other part for loreo. Watch that I bought after you advice a good year & something ago. It keeps ticking!!! I would like to try some mods, but won't be able to find anything for sure on ali for example. If you have minute. Thanks a lot. Best regards Marc from greece
I wish you would try a Omega NATO strap. They are bullet proof and cleaned up nicely. The Orange with black trim one looks like brown leather when it gets wet. My wife and kids got it for me on Father’s Day and it is now my favorite.
I can't blame you for that Omega being #1, and it's the perfect every day watch. I also 100% agree with your decision to brush the mid-links. It looks much better that way.
I just picked up a loreo, it came in today! I was definitely not a fan of the bracelet, that pressed clasp felt really unbalanced for my small wrists. Luckily I had a spare glidelock style bracelet laying around, I’ve been really happy with it. I got a good one too, almost no bezel bounce or backplay. It’s always a gamble when you’re on a musician’s budget but I think I got the jackpot. Love the videos, keep it up!
I’m with you with on a ‘no date’ watch with the exception of Casio’s etc. which obviously don’t need changing . It’s a right pain in the arse having to change the day/date on a watch I don’t wear on a daily basis. Cheered me right up (and less guilty) watching your ‘State of the Watch Collection. 😎
I have the SARB 035 cream, and only wear it with non-metal straps, Vario leather in ‘espresso’ colour way for example to give a wonderful Coffee & Cream look.
Hi Jodi. I like the Casio watches just like you and have many of them. This year, Timex caught my taste, especially the Ironman ones. I got the Ironman Essential TW5M14500 and Ironman Endure T5K195. I really love them and they have got a lot of my wrist time since bought. What I really like about the Timex Ironman (Casio watches don't quite have) watches is the big & clean display. I am curious to know your thought. Thanks for the SOTC video.
Great variety to your collection. Really enjoyed the video. The Zelos skeleton watch and the Gerlach LED digital watch stood out (if only it had an auto turn on when you tilted the wrist.) Both stunning watches. Have to agree that the Omega Seamaster Aqt pips them to the post though - what a beauty!

Also the Alpha Daytona and Casio GD350 both really deserve a review on this channel.
Loving my sarb033. Sold my sarx055 because it was too big for me and regret it. Until I purchased the sarb033. In love mate ! Got the corgeut 'railmaster' in blue dial on its way from Ali. If you want to unbox it Jodie let me know. Cheers
When I had to search through the watch boxes stashed in my sock drawer looking for long forgotten spare bracelet links, I knew it was time to take action! From a fellow victim of 2020 expansion one word of advice... Keto
Completely unrelated question. Is the Pearl DG5833 GMT movement in Pagani Design GMT homage reliable? Any experience? Jody or just the commentators? Please give a like just so ppl could see. Really important for job purposes.
Great SOTC. I had an issue with my Navygraf, but must say Yema's CS pulled through and righted the issues without any issues. A lot more than can be said for the frankly appalling customer service from Timefactors UK. Think I might get a Ali express full metal set for my G-square too, yours looks ace!
@@Iceberqe It's a one man shop and the owner is a horrid man. I ordered a couple of watches, eventually only one got delivered. Waited for the next window and reordered the other one. When I received it, it was damaged/had a defect, immediately sent an email with a picture. He agreed it was there, sent it back the same day. Then all the Mary emails started. Still waiting for my money back. Just do your research, there are plenty of horror stories online about his customer service, but it's his rude, arrogant behaviour that's the killer. Would never recommend Timefactors to anyone.
@@noeone3084 yes I read other accounts on Eddie's rude behavior, but i was curious about your personal story. Problem is that he makes really nice watches and he's the only place to get a nice, vintage inspired watch with a white explorer style dial in 36 mm 😂 I guess I'm willing to take the risk
As always this is my holiday favorite I am at about 30 watches for this year and try to keep the number between 24 and 36 each year. That said, I had the same issue with the Doxa, go with a quality rubber or silicone for it and search for a quality Doxa buckle that will fit it. It kept it in my perm collection, with the Oris 65, the Captain Cook and the Original Waltham Diver, I also have that pre bond in my collection since 1988, and of course the original bin laden casio that one on wrist since I was 14 in 1980. Cheers from Boston.
This is what makes you a great reviewer!! Most of your favourites I would be happy to give away in a "jumble sale" (except for the Omega at the end... what a beauty). So I will continue to watch your channel... for you are dispassionate, clear and unbiased... well you must be given the state of your collection!!!!!!!!
I like so many watches including dress watches for “the office,” even though I don’t work in an office anymore! Your Vostock’s are bananas 🍌! I’ve got to pick one up!
Nice collection. I’m surprised the Casio MRW-200H isn’t in there. It has had a lot of wrist time for me this year and looked spectacular in the pool on a lucky holiday to the island of Rhodes I was able to get in a month or so ago.
18 in my collection so far, mostly chinese specials, which includes 3 pagani's, 2 Carnivals 1 of which I recently bought and for £85 is simply stunning, 1 starking, a sinobi an Ouyawei which is a skeleton watch and gets an awful lot of wrist time. 2 Bulova's a fossil and 2 other fashion watches plus a few other cheapies from China. My Bulova marinestar gets a lot of love as does the fossil blue, but if it werent for the mrs id probably have another 10 chinese specials 😁
Breaks my heart your Vanuatu is gone. I love mine. I have a Sinn 556i on the h-link bracelet I'm planning on selling. I bought it new around 6 months ago and It's in extremely good condition
Your new Straton is much easier to read than mine. I rarely wear it because the hands don’t contrast well with the similarly colored cream dial. I guess I’ll have to sell mine.
Hi Jody, nice video and nice to see you doing an Omega! It would have been noce to see you have a Submariner in hand too. About the clasp, this is very Omega, seamaster clasps dont close on a jiffy you need to push hard or hold behind
Ok Jody, enough waffling. As nice as this collection is, you're missing a good inexpensive flieger, I'm sure you know which one fits the bill. Escapement time Type B. Get it in and on with the review :-)
Nice lineup brother. I like the Casioak but my favorite Casio is the Illuminator and Duro series. Got my eye on new watch by Vanbanner, a Canadian company. It's going to scratch my itch for a Zenith Defy.
Gotta love the double sided AR on the Omegas! As for a german watch, try a Dekla (with 6steel), which is more worth for money than an overprized Sinn imho. You don’t have a proper field watch in your collection anyway (the tisell ex obviously had to go ;-)
A definite style, Casio, Chinese, Omega and odd and ends. For your German watch you could look at Glashutte, saw one advertised on Wish today, didn't catch the price but the Tudors and Breitlings are pretty cheap.
Not sure if you're aware, since you didn't mention it, but the Straton Speciale you picked up is from a limited edition size of 15. None of the other Speciales are limited edition, so I think that makes it extra speciale. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) I also have this exact same colorway and it is my favorite Straton and certainly a keeper for my collection.
One of my best purchases was the gshock square 5610 solar/atomic. Wonder what is the difference between that and the 5600e? Love the Omega you have, and pretty sure another Oris 65 is in your future.
OMG Jodie! Did you notice @37:15, the second hand of your Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra jumping forward three seconds? I'd have that looked at immediately or could it have just been the quartz movement?
Beyond the depth of the watch reviews that most us crave in your channel, I like the way you start the video with the energetic greeting, it helps us have a smile and a positive vibe. Merry Christmas and thanks for the generous gift and advance congratulations to the winner
You should buy the IWC Pilot watch like one of (2?) Robin Williams had worn. I'd ditch the Oris, I don't like new older style watch made too look old, they just lose the whole point behind the historical design motive et al. I love your Omega AT, and do you always wear the Breitling when you take a flight?
Since Yema is French, I think rude customer service is part of the authentic experience as a foreigner buying something French 😂
Hm, I guess you have a good point there!
😂😂👍🏻
;-)
If the watches functioned as advertised there would be no need to interact with customer service at all
I am french and totally agree !

Search for 37.5mm aluminium on AliExpress and eBay.
@@JustOneMoreWatch thank thank you , have a nice day !
I wish you would try a Omega NATO strap. They are bullet proof and cleaned up nicely. The Orange with black trim one looks like brown leather when it gets wet. My wife and kids got it for me on Father’s Day and it is now my favorite.
Polished centre links was what steered me from AT to Explorer. The brushed bracelet looks great, Omega please take heed. 🙂
Chinese watches keep looking better and better. Amazing quality.
“If my wife watches this video and this watch isn’t number one, I’d be in big trouble”
Truly underrated joke here 😂
My two favorites are the aqua terra and the Navitimer.....the Navitimer is perfect with your leather strap! Its amazing.
Wear it more often.. 👍😎❤🤙💥
25:10 My kid and I have been wearing our SKMEI Square Metals quite a bit.
I've been looking forward to this one!
My SOTC (12 watches):
1 Zelos Hammerhead V1 bronze/mereorite
2 Casio G-Shock GD350
3 Seiko SNKM97 + orange strap
4 Orient solar panda wv0041tx + rally strap
5 Pagani Design Yacht master Grey dial Steel bezel
6 Pagani design Mocktail brown dial black leather strap
7 Ciga Design Z series in black dlc with a carbon pattern strap
8 Tissot MotoGP 2016 quartz chrono
9 Alpha Daytona silver dial (old 6263 Rolex Daytona looks)
10 Pagani design Submariner
11 TW Steel TW924 (Yamaha watch)
12 Pagani Design Daytona
7 of these are discovered through you, so many thanks Jody! Also the Alpha Daytona and Casio GD350 both really deserve a review on this channel.
Great collection mate! I feel personally responsible..... 🤣👍
Keto
Keto? Probably the one single diet I haven't tried so far 🤣 I'll give it a try mate.
Agonising over Tudor Longines or an Omega. Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the Omega. Beautiful Beautiful watch.
Completely unrelated question. Is the Pearl DG5833 GMT movement in Pagani Design GMT homage reliable? Any experience? Jody or just the commentators? Please give a like just so ppl could see. Really important for job purposes.
Wow, a heart symbol added from the man himself, thank You! Still noone answered with experience about it. Oh well.
I can't imagine having more than 5 watches. You're a real player!
Great SOTC. I had an issue with my Navygraf, but must say Yema's CS pulled through and righted the issues without any issues. A lot more than can be said for the frankly appalling customer service from Timefactors UK. Think I might get a Ali express full metal set for my G-square too, yours looks ace!
What happened? I'm lusting after a watch from timefactors ;p
@@Iceberqe If you manage to get a good one, then there's no harm done. Good luck.
They all do the same job, Stephen..... 😉
I like so many watches including dress watches for “the office,” even though I don’t work in an office anymore!
Your Vostock’s are bananas 🍌! I’ve got to pick one up!
Jody, could it be that your Omega Geneve is just magnetized? That would have an easy solution.
The Aqua Terra looks so much better with the brushed center links. Great move 👍🏼
Nice collection. I’m surprised the Casio MRW-200H isn’t in there. It has had a lot of wrist time for me this year and looked spectacular in the pool on a lucky holiday to the island of Rhodes I was able to get in a month or so ago.
Great run through! It was fun to see what sticks with you, and cool to hear you break it down to sub-categories of wrist time. Good stuff!
You're right. The omega aqua terra is by far the nicest watch.
The breitling navitimer is not too big for your wrist: it looks gorgeus and you should wear it more.
You are, of course, quite correct mate.
Your new Straton is much easier to read than mine. I rarely wear it because the hands don’t contrast well with the similarly colored cream dial. I guess I’ll have to sell mine.
Lol my friend was wearing a Casio calculator watch during a exam and cheated. He got away.
We were allowed to use real advanced calculators on every exam in school. Doesn't help if you don't know what you're doing anyway.
The Navitimer looks great on your wrist and for sure not too big! Such a nice piece and you wear it well!
Love that Zelos! I know whats coming next in my box. The hands on the San Martin are killer.
Hi Jody, nice video and nice to see you doing an Omega! It would have been noce to see you have a Submariner in hand too. About the clasp, this is very Omega, seamaster clasps dont close on a jiffy you need to push hard or hold behind
Love this format. Really informative to know how much wrist time each watch gets.
11:20 Almost spat out my beer.
Hahahah same.
Wish is a big no no! All fakes.
Love the Zelos in your collection. Have two Mako v3.5s and had a V1 Skyraider. That San Martin is very nice as well!
"I still don't have a ..." Grand Seiko Jody, Grand Seiko!
Jodt- have you tried demagnetizing the Geneve? going so fast is the first sign of a watch being magnetized.
The Formex looks like it was made by a company like Black & Decker or Bosch. Like a powertool.
Definitely an appliance. But isn't that the very definition of a tool watch? 🤔
