I vote for the most wrist time for the order. Sometimes it's just the intangibles that for some reason make us so fond of a particular watch that gives it so much wrist time.

It's been said that man with a watch always knows what time it is; a man with two watches is never sure.
I reckon a man with 50 watches always knows what time it is because he's constantly checking his cell phone clock to set one of them.

Great first piece Jody. Sounds like you've a Great Dad as well! If you intend to leave the lovely and sentimental Omega with a dead battery in it for any length of time I suggest you remove the battery to avoid any possible damage from its decay and release of corrosive substance.

Very impressive yet eclectic collection, although I'm surprised you don't have more Casios being such a big fan.
My collection is not so varied consisting of 48 Casios (so far!) Fairly even split between digital and analogue, my favourites are the six different coloured Duros🤪
I also have a dozen (again so far) non Casios. Surprisingly there is only one mechanical watch in my collection at this point; that being the ESS Minimal Mondaine railway homage.
Cheers and keep the great videos coming 👍

I watched this video and immediately went hunting for a Straton Speciale. About 32 minutes later I got a used meca q from ebay uk for £300. This is fine. Being a 70s kid, I found the styling so evocative. It's so long ago I hardly think about it, but this brought memories cascading back.

I was so happy to see many affordable watches in your collection. I have several Pagani, both NH35 and mecha-quartz homages, and I went on an Orient kick recently and ended up with 5, second-hand Mako II and Ray II’s that were picked up cheaply enough that I could add sapphire crystals, straps, bezels/inserts to all of them to make each unique conversation pieces. I also have some Invicta, Kenneth Cole and Fossil watches that started my collection that are mostly sentimental at this point that I gifted to my son to help him start his collection.

Jody, thank you for another GREAT video. I always look forward to your SOTC video. It's always interesting to me when the three or four people I watch regularly show us what they collect. Gives us all a better idea of who you are and how you look at watches on a personal level. I've been in the hobby for 3-1/2 years and have about 60 watches, just over half being Casio watches. I fell in love with the calculator watches and currently have about fifteen in my collection. Some Seikos and others and absolutely love every one of them. Today I'm wearing my Oris big crown pointer date and love it. To me it's fun deciding what I'm in the mood to wear. Thank you again Jody for ALL you do for the4 watch community.

Multiple brands that have seemed nice online, until they become mine, and then are only worth throwing in a field. Great collection, Jody. Thanks for sharing these. I would like to see that omega pre-bond get repaired and back on your wrist. It's definitely one of your top 5 in my humble opinion.

Seiko quality control is in the league of it's own, you just can't say that you have experienced a genuine seiko time pieces without misaligned bezel and jingly bracelets. In fact they should trade mark it and add these features to the next grand seiko collection.

Re Casio calculator watch: before I transitioned from Casino's to a Rolex in 1986, I used to go through a new Casio every few months when the rubber straps failed or the watch failed. I had a Casio digital with a touch screen for the button entry. Worked great, buttons were big enough to work UNTIL I scratched the screen. Suddenly some numbers no longer worked. Old watch in the bin, new Casiio on the wrist, moving on. Sadly I no longer have any of them

Great to see the Ginault on your channel again; I love it even more after all the watch snobs got their knickers in a twist about the brand over the past few years.

Very interesting collection. You don't have to apologize to anybody, you can have as many or as few as you want. Life's too short to agonize over it. You can certainly own watches that you wear only occasionally, even watches that you never wear as long as you like owning it. Don't feel like you have to worry about it.

I didn't notice any Orients or Citizens in the collection, Jody, though you have reviewed more lately. None inspired you enough to buy/keep?

Great show, that's quite an extensive collection. Can't wait to see you 65 watches in 2022. How on earth do choose which one to wear ? I struggle with 15. So glad you have an Oris but the Aquis cherry red should be the one. Certainly missing a Rado Captain Cook too Jody.

About four years ago, I bought a Lorio submariner. After finally deciding to get another watch I bought one. In hindsight, my collection of vintage watches is insane and, probably might have an issue😅. I still think the $100 submariner rip off on Amazon is a fun time peace and a fun reminder of the days of watches and the horological world before the pandemic.

I have the unclassifiable tourbillion and I really like it. I wear it often on my rotation. It is a really good conversation piece and really I just like looking at the escapment go round and round.

Great stuff Jody! This show kept me interested for the whole journey home from work (45 minutes!) you’ve amassed a lovely collection my friend! (Minus the Vostoks!) all the best to you and I wonder what the 10th SOTC will look like?????;)
