    I have even more respect for picture book illustrators now. That’s a lot of factors to think about. Especially the cropping of your work to sell books at different sizes.

    KDP says that dimensions for an 8.5x8.5 (with bleed) should 8.625" x 8.75". But in the video the dimensions with bleed are 8.75 x 8.75. Will KDP allow us to submit it that way? I can’t get procreate to do 8.625…it only does 8.63.

    • @GenevievesDesignStudio
      @GenevievesDesignStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is because bleed disappears when you combine two pages into a spread. The gutter + spreads chapters (around 03:11 ) should be pretty helpful!
      As for getting the exact number into Procreate, you can input the values in pixels for more precision. Quick reminder: to convert inches to pixels, simply multiply your DPI (for print it's 300) and the inches. In your case, this would be 300*8.625 😊

    Hello, I want to print children book independently. Could you please tell me about the settings at the beginning of procreate. The size, resolution is 300, and the color is CMYK. After the drawing is completed, I want to put it into Adobe Indesign. I have tried converting it to PSD, JPEG, PNG and TIFF in procreate and sending it via email. Then opened it on my computer and put it into Indesign, but the resolution of the file will be lower than 300, the printing house told me it must be 300 resolution.
    I also want to know if there will be any color difference when the file is transferred from procreate to Indesign? How can this be checked?
    I would like to ask if there is a tutorial on the children book file production process from procreate to Indesign. I am willing to pay to learn from you. thank you.

      @@GenevievesDesignStudio I’m doing 8x8 trim (8.125 x 8.25 bleed) and my page is set to 8.5 x 8.5 I figured I would just scoot the bleed and margin to the right and left for the interior pages to allow for .125 blank in the gutter area. I didn’t change any of the dimensions but in yours it almost seems like the left and right pages have a smaller margin safety area.
      I’ve been using ingram spark and formatting has been a nightmare 😄 This video helped me immensely figure out how to do it on procreate without having to use another program.i

    • @GenevievesDesignStudio
