- During Charlie Adelson's testimony, he was confronted with wiretapped phone calls that had been presented to the jury as evidence by the state. Adelson had conversations with both his mother and his ex-girlfriend, Katherine Magbanua, who has already been convicted for her involved in Dan Markel's death. "The Bump" centered around his mother, Donna Adelson, receiving a threatening note while picking up her grandkids from school.

I thought the very same thing. They are both such a joke, trying to convince the jury…..and Donna,Harvey and Wendy acting like they are so innocent knowing they were a big part of it. They are all very evil and some day they “ Hopefully “ pay the price. Especially Wendi 😊

Donna needs to be on trial. She was the puppet master in all of this. How will they even explain to Dan’s kids now that they’re getting older and able to google the Adelson name as it relates to their father’s death. The Adelsons will have to answer to the grand kids eventually. They may have “won” them over as kids but they will grow up and develop their own opinion at some point. Donna and Wendy more than anyone will have to answer to these young boys. Justice for Dan !!
Their response to the bump is SO telling! Chuck and his mom sure seem complicit.
Definitely she immediately calls him and begins talking in a type of code, if they’re innocent why didn’t she say she’s worried a strange man approached her with a paper wanting money, instead she speaks very guarded in code how it’s something but won’t say what and he asks who it involves and she says probably the two of us, he would’ve said what are you talking about? Instead of “ok I’ll come by tomorrow”

If Donna would have answered the phone & said " this guy said we owe him money, because of a favor they did up north? I think this is the same extortionists?". Then it would be plausible...., but her "shortness" of substance about letter, screams quilt of unknown....if the police are bugging the cell phones.
His mom is way too smug considering the circumstances. Both of them are. Normal people would be hysterical under the circumstances….unless they knew exactly what was up.

He's got explanations, and good explanations at that, for everything because that's exactly how it went down. He never hesitated once in the entire day. Instant replies because they were true. Even the most accomplished liar couldn't do it that well for an entire day under that pressure. It's a weird story but anything to do with bein manipulated by a gang moll would be convoluted esp when you've got the FBI working an entrapment scam on you.
The questions Rashbaum asked sealed the deal for CA.
It's so unfortunate this took so long for Charlie's arrest. Hopefully, the rest of the Adelson's will all be arrested sooner rather than later.

Most people understand a defense lawyers job is difficult but this guy gets hate because of his demeanor on cross examination with Katie.... there is an unlikeable smugness to him . I don't think that it even transfers well with the jury that he is getting heated while a convicted murderer is the one being cool calm and respectful. He was very composed with Luis though maybe he was scared lol
