Bill Paxton wasn't in enough movies. Love this dude.
He was in almost every every major block buster in the late 80s early 90s
Yeah. He was such a good actor, he could play such a vast variety of roles so different from one another. Look how different his used car salesman fake wannabe spy agent here is from Chet in Weird Science, they are such 2 different people that I would need convincing to believe that that they were both the same actor, if I didn't already know Bill Paxton so well. And his tornado chaser character in Twister was very different again.
@@Vjl5280Throughout much of the 80s and 90s actually. See my above reply to @micahrutland, I'm sure you'll agree with that.
His 3rd role with Arnie (Punk in Terminator & radio operator in Commando), but gets a decent role this time around & did a really good job with it too. Every scene with the 2 of them together is a real treat.
@@TheRip72 before this he was in Tombstone, Aliens, weird science, stripes…
This came out when I was in high school. I was dying the first time i watched this scene. Nobody but Bill Paxton could have played that. He was so perfect as a sleezy car salesman.
Yeah, and Ernie nailed Simon he peed his pants in fright.
I will forever remember him as Chet in Weird Science
@@Farcyde021 I also remember him as Hudson from Aliens.
William H. Macy in Fargo was also a perfect car salesman, but in a different way.
At 43 years old my brother and I still routinely quote Bill Paxton's lines from this movie to one another. It gets a laugh every single time. 😅
funny stuff... I too spent the late eighties quoting all his lines from Aliens.
Let's face it max... the vet...gets em wet.
I hope not the line "ass like a 10yr old boy" 😦 😄
42... and same with my brother. Paxton is hilarious in this. Cheers mate
@@Aztecatl7Well, if you want to be really really sleazy, that's the line to go for. 🤢😂😂
Bill Paxton was so amazing in Aliens and then True Lies. So entertaining. Passed way too young at 61.
He was a creep in this movie. But damn he was great.
61!!! That’s terrible. He was a great actor.
This is the man who played Chet in Weird Science also...LEGEND!
Too young at 61…. Kkkkkkkkkkk
You’re a joker!!
Great in Tombstone…..
6:09 - 6:13 These are five emotions expressed only with the face in just four seconds. Bill Paxton was an actor of rare quality.
Astronaut, Storm Chaser, Sleazy Used Car Salesman. BRAVO, Mr. Paxton! 👏
Bill Paxton!!!! like a Champ. Love this Dude. What a time it was for Movies back then. The entire crew at that time.
RIP Bill. You were a genius of a performer.
"Ass like a ten year old boy"
Perfect Paxton. The guy was a legend.
I believe Paxton and Tom Arnold peaked in this movie, absolute masterpiece
Bill Paxtons ration of screen time to quotable lines is absolute S tier in this movie LOL
One of the funniest side roles in cinema history.
Bill Paxton and Tom Arnold were so funny in this film they made it a great movie.
Arnold and Arnold 😂😂
5:20 that fucking stare lmao
Finally someone edited the full scene properly! Thank you for this
R.I.P. Bill Paxton.
Oh man, I miss Bill Paxton
The vet gets them wet",that line I used so many times....funny as hell.
Bill Paxton has been killed by Schwarzenegger in two different films atop of a Predator, an Alien, a heart attack in Big Love, a vampire, and in Agents of SHIELD.
I love that movie, and this is my favourite scene in the whole movie. Bill Paxton was so funny and he played the character perfectly! 😊👍🏻
(5:13) These are some of the most quotable lines and they never fail to make me 😂
I love how casually they are like "well we still have to kill him, that's a given." lol
Can never stop thinking about this scene whenever I hear ‘More Than A Woman’.
'She wants you too, hey how 'bout a little spin?'
'Your clothes, give them to me, NOW'
MAKE YOU WANNA STAND UP & BEG FOR BUTTERMILK
Paxton was one of the best.
“This guys a godamn used car salesman…it just gets better and better!” No truer words spoken
3:55 That hot dog and Pepsi looked delicious.
RIP Bill Paxton
tom arnold was one of the best actors in this entire film...
I miss Bill, truly
$175.99? wow! thats what you call inflation. and i'm old.
Bill Paxton was such an amazing creep. lol
Bill Paxton… killed by an alien, a predator, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. What a legend, and he played the sleazy car guy perfectly.😂
Best in weird science 😂
Never understood that 10 year old line in this film. 😮
It crossed over into Arnie's character imagining him saying that, just like he imagined hitting him. Paxton's character was being such a creepy lecherous jerk, that he never put it past him to say that and he seriously wanted to knock him out.
@@arserobinson7118 ah makes sense now that you explain it that way.
It just added one more creeper facet to Paxton’s sleazy used car salesman character
RIP Bill, you are so completely missed
Great acting. So funny.
Любимый фильм. Шедевр
"Battle is the Great Redeemer. It is the fiery crucible in which true heroes are forged. The one place where all men truly share the same rank, regardless of what kind of parasitic scum they were going in. I see everyone is having a productive morning. You know it gives me a swell of pride knowing soldiers of your... caliber will lead the charge tomorrow. Tip of the spear. Edge of the knife." - Simon, the used car salesman.
The guy was pretending to be a spy to sleep with another man’s wife without knowing her husband was an actual spy who would make him vanish.
"Hol'd it for me for a day, ok?"
Cuz you talk wrong about your needs on my expense trumpet
"Ass like a ten year old boy!!!" 😂😂😂 This quote should disturb us all, but it's actually super funny. Kills me every time.
For YEARS I thought that's what he said lol. But I'm pretty sure he's saying "ask like a 10 year old boy" in reference to "begging for butter milk"
@@TheAlmightyJue huh, interesting, that's one way to look at it
@TheAlmightyJue He is definitely NOT saying "ask". Watch the official movie and put on subtitles. Lol
@chewface funny you're reply cause I just watched the damn movie 3 nights ago with subtitles and it did say "ass". Lmao. If that's the true script it's absolutely hilarious
@TheAlmightyJue There's script for the movie on IMDB. It's 100% certified ass. Lmao
“Makes you wanna stand up and beg for buttermilk.” Classic line 😂😂😂
*SMACK*
you still interested in that vet at all?
$17,599 for a Vette like that.
God I miss the 90's.
I would have bought in a heartbeat!😂 I’ve would’ve been done paying for it in December 29 2023……
In 1998, on the way back from a winning session at the Taj in A/C, I decided to take the scenic route back to NYC, I forgot the town, but my eyes connected with a 1962 Maserati 3500 GTI. I made a U turn, and saw the price, $23,000. It needed some work, I was aching for it, but my mind at the time won, not the heart. I passed. It is now in the $250k-$300k range.
The 90's and early noughties had some SERIOUS steals in todays value.@@jorgeluiscazares2105
@doronstauber7285 Its an old car . How much do you think its gonna cost?
Without looking at the classifieds, I would safely wager that the vette in this movie is close to 6 figures if not over $100k right now in good condition.@@christiansoldier77
@@christiansoldier77 it’s not a car is a classic it’s 1959 Chevy corvette
This movie was so freaking good. And Tom Arnold brought his A-game in every scene.
can't believe that was him in trailer park boys with snoop dogg!!!
Tom as that friend who tries to cheer you up but makes everything worse because of the crazy things he says. And the scene where he interrogates the wife is a classic.
One of THE great comedic performances in history. Paxton just spits straight sleazy gold in this movie.
Right up there with Matt Dillon in There’s something about Mary
the genuine excitement on Tom Arnold's face when he says "the guy is a god damn used car salesman! this keeps getting better and better!" just absolutely kills me
the two arnolds in the movie were comedic gold
Their conversations in this movie radiate best friendness. Its too bad they cancelled any sequels that could've brought them together again.
And Harry (Arnold) getting anger and anger as he knows more of the guy 😂
He’s so coked out in this scene.
"get their pilot light lit, and they could suck start a leaf blower". LMFAO !!!!!!!! I can't breathe 😂😂😂😂😂
I was about to say the same thing!
Still laughing😂😂😂😂😂can’t breath😂😂😂😂😂hold on let me breath😂😂😂😂😂LoL😂😂😂😂😂breath😂😂😂😂😂breath😂😂😂😂😂I’m dying😂😂😂😂😂
Those idiots 😶
Great line! It took me out! 🤣
"Ha...ha...those idiots"
Gets me everytime.
Yeah, lol. Simon had no idea here how Harry really felt about him, he thought Harry was this really cool stud who was made for that badass car and looked at him as someone who he could confide all his secrets to on his women conquests. While Harry saw Simon as this sleazy lying dipshit who was playing around with his wife and he really wanted to beat the shit outta him, and had that wishful imagine spot of him doing so. I wonder how many viewers first time watching this movie thought that that bit was real where Harry bashed Simon in the face, and not a quick fakeout imagine spot.
😂😂😂
4:24 Those idiots 😂 Arnolds delivery and facials were spot on
"If they took care of business I'd be out of business 😂😂😂😂
Watching this in the theater, everyone was rolling when Paxton was delivering his lines 😂😂
Been saying it for years, but Bill Paxton should've gotten an award for his role in True Lies. Almost all of his lines are endlessly quotable and he really sells the over-the-top sleaziness of the character.
What? You never said that! Just last week Susan and I ran into you at Neckie's, and you said Tom Arnold deserved the award. And now, here you are, saying something else. All because you thought I wouldn't be here, right? Well, you can shave your own back from now on, old friend.
Whoops... sorry to interrupt... was just looking for the bathroom. Carry on... carry on.
Thanks for not censoring Bill Paxton's hilarious dialogue, this movie is so underrated.
The world is lonely without bill Paxton in it. And the movies are dull without him in them.
I love the fake out when you thought Harry killed Simon. Your thinking "Holy sh!t! He killed him! How's he gonna explain this?!" Then you hear Simon laughing and your like: Ohhhh!! That was so good.
Everyone in the cinema held their breath at once in that moment!
yeah, that got me too.. and then it was just a dream but paxton was so hilarious in this movie, I love that scene where he peed himself twice.. RIP bill paxton..
His intrusive thoughts 😂
Paxton was bloody brilliant in this😂
I like this 1....❤ great movie
Bill Paxton was truly a gem that shined in every movie he was in, he was gone too soon 💔💔
Every single thing he did is a still a used phrase saying moment I love him for that
When all these actors were young and i was 8 years old in 1994. God I miss those kind of action movies.
I too was 8. God I know what you mean. Growing up in the times we did was pretty awesome. Minus all the political and national emergency shit of course. Yea those parts sucked, but every generation has its ‘suck’. Would be life without it really. The entertainment was gold though. Helped us escape and get through.
Nobody can take away how BRILLIANT Paxton was in this scene..BUT I really don't think Arnold got enough credit for his absolute FLAWLESS INTERNALIZED PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE RAGE everything from his eye glaring to his fingers flicking up and down on the steering wheel with rage as he drives to the griding of his jaw down to the tone of his voice...just like the throbbing of his jaw at the dinner table when he knows Helen is lying to him...absolutely brilliant! One of Arnold's best performances!!
Tom Arnold laughing because Bill is a used car salesman like it's not insult enough that he's running around with dudes wife is golden
And taken credit for Arnold’s work.
@@billythekid56Yeah, lol, pretending to be a spy, and then Bill really likes Arnie when they take the car out and thinks that he sees Arnie as a friend he can confide all of his womanizing events to, while not knowing that one of the women is Arnie's wife, and while also not knowing that Arnie is only there because he knows and wants to beat the shit outta him. And that fakeout moment where he imagined doing so.
I'm starting to like this guy 😂
" He's a god damned used car salesman! " 🤣😂
They still gotta kill him though. Haha!
Bill Paxton the only actor to get killed by a Terminator a Alien and a predator.
Lance Henriksen too.
... And almost by a pissed off, CIA-agent, enraged, muscle-bound husband. 😅😮
Yes. That's been said many times before u
Even in a supporting role, Bill Paxton totally owned those scenes. Poor Arnie couldn't hope to match any of it 😂
Arnie's purpose in a movie is usually to entertain via killing, not acting, although I thought his acting was good in this and T2. He was very human and relatable in both roles.
It's a damn shame that Bill Paxton is no longer around as he was a good actor both in comedy AND drama.
Every time Tom Arnold opened his mouth in this movie the audience was cracking up. And Bill Paxton was incredible here. You really wanted to murder the guy. The payoff at the end with Jamie Lee Curtis was perfect.
30 years old soon. Blows away anything I saw in the cinema in 2023.
You really expect anything in modern day cinema to be good?
No but I expect them to breath forth-wall with social politics blasting in my face. @@FreeThinkAlways
I love Bill Paxton. May he forever rest in heaven. However, he played a creepy ass dude here.
He gets his comeuppance in the film though at least
The last time I heard the word 'comeuppance' was from the leading woman in 'the mummy' to Benny...and he did, he indeed received his 'comeuppance.'
He was great. He played a great creep. He angered me in this role. He sure as hell did his job in this.
@@richardcook6884Angered you? You’re seriously uptight if his portrayal did anything but make you laugh. Comedic gold.
@@Skoora The "A** like a ten-year old boy" remark is what pissed me off.
Paxton killed it in this movie,no one could play a sleeze better then him😂 He is the epitomy of the 80s and 90s taking a mediocre second fiddle role and making it his B@#$*
Bill Paxton was so good. Such a shame he died so young.
He was a creep in this scene. But damn he was good.
Arnold should thank Bill here for telling him exactly what the issue is with his wife. 😂
$17,600 for that car?! SOLD!!
Well, with inflation adjusted, it's closer to $32,600
@@nocturnalrecluse1216 And yet thats still about 100k less than its worth today.. lol
I bet he lowered mileage on the odometer. He uses that car regularly to pick up women or show off. That car probably is worth 7k less
@@eric0380 It wouldn't matter how many miles are on it, it's a rare first gen Corvette in running condition.. it's worth a lot regardless! haha
Jamie Lee Curtis was/still is a smoke show. Since we all knew what she has underneath due to the boob shot in “Trading Places” we can’t unsee and know she’s playing the demur housewife and then later when she dances for Arnold it’s such a great job by her. Don’t think she really has to “act” much on those scenes.
She's 🔥 🔥 🔥 😍😍😍
Currently working through every Bill Paxton film... Hes so good in everything without even trying but he's pure gold in this 😂 keep coming back to this to watch the scenes with him in.. Rip Bill Paxton. It's an honour to be able to watch you in so many classic films but the world will always feel sadder with you gone ❤
I had forgotten how funny this movie is until I rewatched it with some friends recently. Such a great movie
It's definitely in my top ten action movie favorites, The Harrier scene alone would be enough. The whole washroom scene and horse chase was stolen by John Wick. Cameron was always ahead of the crowd when it comes to action.
Gotta love True Lies in 4k. Bill Paxton never disappoints. I watch A Simple Plan on a regular basis because of his amazing performance in it.
A Simple Plan is one of my favorites... "Did I see the birds?" 🤣
This movie absolutely should have won an Oscar. . .
They're not skanks either, well some are.
Lmao Bill Paxton was great here. Twister is still low key one of my favorite movies.
Bill Paxton was a good actor. I remember the first time my older sisters put on Wierd Science. I was 6-7 years old, and I got into that movie because of how funny he was playing a bully .he did a good job in every movie I ever saw him in, whether he was lead role or small role RIP
Bill Paxton played the sleazy car salesman so well in this. Great actor who was sadly died too soon for this world.
Bill Paxton brought us some classic performances from The Terminator to Aliens to Weird Science to True Lies to Twister. He is missed.
That “10 year old boy” line is super creepy.
It was, but who was responsible for that line?
You spelt hilarious wrong
Arnie's character imagined him saying that, just like he imagined hitting him. Paxton's character was being such a creepy jerk, that he never put it past him to say that and he seriously wanted to knock him out.
LOL! Yeah, but it's funny as hell.
Agreed… I saw this movie when it came out and I immediately thought that was a very bizarre line. Fast forward 30 years and we know a lot more about Hollywood now.
If only the terrorists attack on 911 didn't happen, we could have gotten the sequel of this damn good movie! James Cameron already had the script but but 911 happened and it was somewhat similar to that so He moved on.
I still think one of the funniest parts of the movie (and there are a lot of funny lines & scenes) is later on when they are at the dam and take the hood off: "Hey, it's you! Are you still interested in that 'vette?" Having him play the stereotype anything-for-the-sale used car salesman was great.
Binoculars glass shattering 💀💀😂😂😂😂😂😂
....Cairo.....
In my opinion this is one of his most underrated roles. I loved and still love this movie and "Simon" was a fantastic part of it. We miss you, Bill. So much.
This great movie was at the height of a period of really awesome movies of all types in the 90s. This was in the theaters at the same time as Speed as well I think.
1994 was unbelievably stacked when it came to good movies
All of it is hysterical. Love Paxton. This is when movies were great. The thumbnail pic though, you see that and know the character and have to click on it 😂😂
For a sleazy used car salesman he's offering a pretty damn good price on what appears to be a cherry C1 Corvette.
😅
bill paxtons laugh man hilarious 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

The way the lens breaks……is priceless.
They really don’t make movies like this anymore.
Update:
Why did the lens break? Was he squeezing it too hard? Or was the energy from his frustration too powerful that it caused the lens to break....more so that expression if looks could kill....that's why it broke.
The second one would be funnier.
@VanillaLimeCoke - Yes, he was very angry, so he squeezed the lenses until they broke. :D
The perfect script. Arnold squeezes the binoculars in anger and the lens shatters. Cut to Paxton: " (I ) mean there's one born every minute. (cut) "It wants you too. They vibrate. " This is the go to property to benchmark your creation against.
5:40 the sound of that exhaust system is music to my ears.
Makes you beg for buttermilk.... 😂
Must be amazing to be a go to actor for James Cameron
Suck start a leaf blower lol 😂
$17,599 for that '58 Vette? I'll take a dozen!
Bill Paxton at another one of his excellent but underrated roles....loved his scenes in True Lies. Listen to his description of the perfect body which was the norm back in the day before butts were idealized.....women with titties and ass like a 10 year old boy. Check it out at 5:20 😅
"Ass like a 10 year old boy" is one of the most hilariously inappropriate lines in movie history
