Yup,..the Arri 35 is definitely the king of cinema cameras today. No doubt. But,..I honestly have to say that if you told me you shot this on a Canon C70, Sony FX6, Lumix S1H, or a RED...etc, I would have absolutely believed you!. Any 14 stop sensor camera in 2023 in the hands of a good DP will give you superb image quality. So much so,....that NObody will be able to tell what you shot it with. Nobody can watch an hour of TV ads and say: "Yep,..that's an Arri shot"......."Oh that's clearly RED right there"......"That shot is a Sony FX9"....."Oh, that's easily a C500 shot"......"Oh wow,..that shot was definitely done with Panavision". Nobody can do this...it's impossible. Most 13 stop+ camera sensors in 2023 are ALL excellent performers and are more than enough for rec709 viewing.
Very interesting! Those train station scenes with the models made me urge for FF format with those SKs. Maybe my eye has been trained for FF now? oh no haha. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I know this wasn’t a scientific test between the two cameras or anything, but I would definitely take the comparison footage between the Alexa Mini and 35 with a grain of salt. Totally different lenses used, and codecs / bit-colors too.
Fascinating. Glad to know I don’t need one after watching this footage. I was really expecting something that just screamed filmic cinema. My Zcam e2f6 is nimble and yields unbelievable results that could easily rival the quality here. Having said that the Alexa’s re basically industry standard so, a great investment that will be paid off in one season Im sure. Thanks for the video!
Nice test, thank you. I love the look Arri Cameras very much. However there is quite a bit of moving around of the two models and the images without focuspuller are off and on soft. The quality comparison between the Arri Mini or Arri 35 in my opinion for that reason doesn't make much sense. With the autofoces of a Sony or Canon Camera the shots would have turned out better.

Definetely way ahead of its competition. Venice 2 is near but alexa 35 is 100% the way to go. Just shot a commercial with it and I'm blown away.
Yeah man, it’s awesome!

Potato Jet: “Don’t fool around with an Arri camera”
Dude at 7:50 looks like something out of the pilot ep of Documentary Now with fred armisen 🤣
What was the third camera used to shoot the alexa mini and alexa 35?
The Sony fx30 with sigma 18-35 ;)
