Hi, just wondering I have the same car and have had my muffler deleted and also my centre silencer and still quite. Removing the DPF will this make the bigger difference. Also did you tune this after the deletes?
Hey man, car sounds amazing btw!!! I’ve recently had my exhaust done on my boxer diesel, however not getting the grunt. I’m getting a jet engine sound (from turbo) and feel like I’m missing something. I’ve got gutted dpf, straight 2.5” pipe all the way back to a tail pipe. It’s been remapped to delete egr valve and the dpf. Any advice?

I have the same impreza with 2.0 D, can u tell me more details what u done in this one. I’ve already changed end muffer to remus but rezults are not that good
The main part that changed the sound the most was my catless downpipe. If I put the DPF back the sound is gone, even with straight pipe. Same with original muffler and catless downpipe you hear more grunt from the engine.
It is a tube that connects the turbo side with the exhaust, normally this is where the diesel filter is. The downpipe looks like this www.mtk-tuning.com/tube-de-suppression-fap-subaru-legacy-forester-impreza-10932.html

I have no idea but that isn't the only problem the car is having. :( It blows clouds of black smoke in low rpms (1500-1800), has a lot of negative pressure comming out the oil filler cap, and it is leaking oil somewhere between the trans and the block, and somewhere above the turbo.
@@TheBlueBreezer cluds of black smoke can be solved by remap. but you will lose some power in that area. It is factory-tuned tu run rich in that area to give decent acceleration and DPF takes care of the smoke. I bet you did mean positive pressure from oil filler. cant comment on that. mine has some blow by too, but I think all boxer diesels are like that. There is also a noticeable ammount of oil fumes coming out of crank case ventilation tube (small tube that that comes form firewall side and connects to intake after air box and after air mass sensor) Oil leak between block and trans must be rear oil seal. Cant comment on oil leak above turbo. scavange pump maybe?
The blue smoke at start is probably from some oil settling in the cylinder overnight. The horizontal layout means it won't drain past the rings. Use an engine flush before your next oil change and see it if helps to improve ring sealing. I also have lots of black smoke in low rpm, but only if I load up the throttle. Light throttle stays clean.... I am thinking of fine tuning that part of the map to clean it up a bit.
