I started crocheting in 2016 from your videos and here it is 7 years later and I still come back to your videos to remember how to increase 😂 my almost 7 year old asked me today to make him a beanie and I haven’t made one since he was about one year old 🙁
Thank you for your video. It is simple and very clear. I'm 81 years, I have crochet, knit and sewing since I was a little girl. I'm always doing something for the FRIENDS OF THE HOSPITAL in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal and now I'm visiting the family in Texas, USA. I was browsing through different patterns and I loved your instructions. Thank you again. Olimpia Costa
You weren't monetized when I started crocheting, so here! LOL Thank you for showing me how to crochet my first beanie ever!
That is awesome! Thank SO much!
So helpful, am a beginner. I made 3 beanies for my 2 , 6, 8 year old boys. Thank you so much. Love from India.

TMac7563 Thank you so much for your kind feedback! That is awesome that someone so young, and a boy too is enjoying crochet. I hope you can continue to enjoy it and come back to it when you feel like. Happy crocheting!

HappyBerry Crochet I'm 10 years old lol
I adore your accent and your voice. I made a few for my 2 year grandson and will continue to do so as the cold weather is approaching. Started two beanies for my Vets 2 girls. You are so amazing, thoughtful and kind hearted. Thanks for sharing and caring. Hugs xxx
So helpful!! :) I am making winter hats for a charity that gives them to under privileged elementary school kids and I wanted to find a day way to make a bunch! This is so clearly explained. Thank you so much! I am halfway on my second one in 3 hours :)
AWESOME! My 3 yr. old grandson loves his hat. He had been asking me for awhile. I finally found and instructor that was EASY to understand. And it was so quick and easy. Now I'm going to make one for my 2 year old granddaughter. I definitely am going to be one of your faithful students.
cassandrac27 I am so happy to have you as my student too, I am delighted you found my tutorial useful. Thank you for your kind feedback.
I thank you for helping me, an 11 year old boy learn to crochet things better during this quarantine
sameee literally im 11 too
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It's my first time at crocheting and I am so pleased with the result. I made a beautiful beanie for my 4 year old grand daughter.
Hi! I just wanted to give you a big thank you for your hard work. I am 10 years old and I started crocheting when I was almost 9. That was in 2016. I started watching your videos when I was a beginner, now I’m advanced. I do hold my hook differently but it doesn’t affect the look of my projects! The way you hold it is complicated to me but someday I’ll get it! My sister is 5 and I’m thinking of teaching her crochet XD ilysm xx
That's brilliant! I'm so glad you are enjoying your crocheting journey :D
oh my god, i saw this video and immidietly started, i wanted to crochet a beanie for my 4 year old cousin and this is perfect. all though a tip for other begginners; make sure not to get lost between the video and crocheting at the same time, it can be quite confusing. i kept getting confused and had to start all over again 4 times so this is technachly day 2 of me doing this but dont worry guys, with practice and patience u will nail it. dont rush at all it can ruin your stiches and the shape ( of the stiches ) wont be as even and the ones here in the video.
thank you for creating this video :) i might start a buisness because i just found out how talented i am in crocheting because of u !
Thank you so much for such a great and EASY to follow tutorial. I’ve been crocheting since I was...let’s just say about 50 years or so. I never knew how to make a hat, but I’ve made lots of granny squares 😂. Thanks to your videos, I’m making my nieces and nephew each a hey for Christmas this year.
Hello and thank you. I have been looking for a "plain and simple" beanie for my 8yo granddaughter. and this is beautiful. She's going to love it in an ombre colored yarn. Thank you so much for great instructions. They will be well used. 💜
I'm so glad! ☺️
I realise this video is from a while ago so you may not read your comments, but I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you. You taught me to crochet! I went through so many tutorials but this is the one I managed to get through, understand and felt comfortable doing. My little one is super pleased with her beanie which makes me extremely proud too. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it 😀👍
thank you for going so slow so i can actually see what you are doing, ive never made a hat before asd this was the easiest tutorial thanks :D
I’ve watched many vids as I’m new to crochet and thank you for not going too fast I actually understood you lol and I’ve just made my first hat
This video helped me more than the six others I had viewed to do this child hat ❤ thank you

I just made this beanie following your tutorials. This video was very easy to follow. Thank you.
Great pattern, easy to follow and understand. No hidden tricks or left out instructions. I really appreciate your honesty.
I just made this beanie with your tutorial and it came out great. I watched 3 other ones and I ended up pulling them all apart. Thank you 😄👍👍
I have made this hat for a 1 & 3 yr old & it is so easy to make I love it. The tutorial was so easy to follow.
I just have to say thank you for you're videos!!! They are so easy to follow (when I mess up I usually missed a stitch lol) all I could do was single stitches for years and years and now I'm making mice and turtles and snails and mittens and soon hats!!! I used the iris stitch to make scarves now as well! Thank you so much! XD
Brilliantly easy, completed in no time at all. Must say the sound quality is fantastic. Thanks.x
I made a hat for my sister and she loved it, thank you😂😂
What a fantastic tutorial!
Clear, simple, easy to follow, well explained steps!
Well done and thank you so much for posting this!
I am an absolute beginner, and thanks to your tutorial I managed to produce this hat first time. Okay, some of the stitches are a little messy, but practice makes perfect, and my son is only three so he doesn't mind...
So many tutorials do fine explaining the first one or two rounds, then the explanations go too fast and the stitches are too quick. Yours was just right, with just the right amount of explaining and going over the steps and stitch counts.
Thank you for taking the time to make and post this.
Lauren Hahn So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for your awesome feedback, made my day!
This is a well explained video especially for the beginner.

+Jamilah Ellis I would love to see your work on my Facebook page at facebook.com/happyberrycrochet or I'm on Instagram at instagram.com/happyberrycrochet :)
Thank you this is the easiest to follow video I've found perfect color or yarn not hard to see and perfect pace.😊
Thank you for such a clear video, very good quality easy to follow. I just have one suggestion, maybe point out not to make any stitches in slip stitch joint. I did that the first time and had to take all my work out and finally figured it out what I did wrong from a tutorial I had previously seen from someone else. I'm still kind of a beginner. Thank you again!
You're good ❤thank you for all your excellent tutorials.
Thanks so much for this! A year ago I used this tutorial to make a beanie hat and now I wanted to make it again so I specially came looking for your tutorial!😃😃

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO YOU HELPED ME SO MUCH I MADE A HAT!!!!!!! AND GUESS WHAT I'M ONLY NINE
Loli Rock ? I started crocheting when I was 8 and now I'm 10. Some people have started at 6 years old. It doesn't mean you're the youngest crocheter. ;)
BirdiesAreCute I get your comment is old, but she never said that she was
Thank you for this will need to get chunky wool but am going to practice with what I have got just now. Hope my hands do as they are asked
Thank you.... Instructions are very clear......
Lovely! So well explained for beginners- Thankyou xx
I made this hat for a 4 year-old for Christmas and it came out way bigger than the other pattern I used for her fathers. I can't even wear this hat and I'm 23 years old. The hat measures out the same as yours and all my stitch counts were right. I have been crocheting for 2 years and never have this problem
megan hight Well you've lost me then, it may be the yarn you used, who knows. All I can suggest is try the next size down and see if that helps. Happy crocheting!
Very helpful thank you so much! Crocheted my first hat with this tutorial :)
Just in case anyone else is having the same trouble with row 5 that I had...do 7 dc in the beginning instead of 6. This row needs to be in multiples of 9, and doing 6 at the start instead of 7 means that you have a multiple of 8 in there too. This results in a dropped stitch, meaning that you have 53 at the end instead of 54 and are left with 1 extra stitch. So you could either just skip that 1 stitch and slst to end the row, or add 1 extra stitch, which creates a weird little point thing...or you could go back and re-do the row using the method I did. I re-did this row at least twice before I figured this out...just didn't make sense mathematically (and this coming from someone who HATES math!)
She counts the ch2 at the beg as her first stitch. 6 DC plus the ch2 is 7sts. Shes increasing in the 8th (a multiple of 48) stitch which will give you an additional 6 sts at the end and a total stch ct of 54. This video is mathematically correct
than you so much for this vid so clear and very easy to understand going to give it a go love it x
i love this tutorial and all the other ones just like it i use this tutorial to make character beanies thank you so much
