The easiest hat that can possibly be found on the entire TH-cam I’m a 12 year old beginner crocheting for about 1 and a half month and I found this really easy to make !! Thank you so much Laura ☺️☺️ I hv been following your channel for quite a while and I learned all my basic stitches using your tutorials..... 😌😌
Oh geeez, I cannot express how thankful I am that you made this. I've been going from hat tutorial to hat tutorial, and have had no luck. Thankfully I ran across this. You did an amazing job!
I don't ever make comments but I thought you should know you've taught me to make hats that I donate to the Simon cancer center & through a program for soldiers over seas, so thank you for helping me help others !
10:53 Dont mind me, just putting a time stamp for where I will continue off later :) also thank you for the tutorial, your instructions are very clear and easy to follow! update: my beanie is done and i’m so happy!! thank you for your guidance
+corncake21567 You rock!!! It's a healthy way to destress, you won't wake up with a hangover, and you'll actually have something to show for it! Rock on!!
Beautiful Tutorial so c)early that anyone who can crochet would understand...I will suggest this site to anyone who can crochet...I simply love it and will be making hundredths of thousand beanie hat..Thank You from my heart for sharing it...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this video! I always come back to this one when I need to reference how to make beanies/hats. It’s very easy to understand and made simple. The video is also good quality and clear, easy to see how you are crocheting.
I just learned your instruction/pattern and have crocheted 6 hats in 2 days. These are my first hats ever. They will all be donated to those in need this winter. I was hoping I could post a picture.
I'm a 13 year old crochet artist, I only have made orders for adults. Never children, I've finally took the time to create myself a crochet hat but my head is very small. This is the easiest video I could find ! Thank you so much Laura.
I made this in 10ply grey wool and with a 4mm hook. I ended up using the magic loop because it's my prefered choice. The beanie fit me PERFECTLY!! So proud of my first crocheted beanie.
Thank you for this! I can finally make a ladies beanie for myself that actually fits! I have a small head and all the other videos for ladies beanies end up too big for my head. This is exactly the right size :)
I found this because, after nearly 20 years of crocheting, I figured out through trial and error how to make a hat for my baby and for myself. I wanted to see how others do it and if I was close, proud to say that I was :p excellent tutorial, clear, concise, and straight to work, thank you!
Thank you so very much for this video. I just made this beanie for my mom who freezes in the winter. She loves my tight crotchet blankets. She says they are so warm. She will LOVE this hat.
Thank you so much for the video. You explain it so clearly and slowly that I was able to keep up. I have already made 2 and me and my mom are working on two more thanks so much for your video :)
I love you channel so much I can't even tell you, great work! Never give up.. Please make more patterns! I will request videos as often as I can.. Love your videos so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've made so many different kind of hats with your patterns and they fit true to size ! Seriously thanks you my crocheting has improved I've made many many cute designs with your pattern
Your teaching is amazing. Thank you! Very thorough for me to follow !!! Even if something was unclear right away after watching that part a few times it was very easy to understand my mistake! Just wanted to share that I used double yarn of medium 4 to create bulky 5
You are the best!! I really love that you included the first few rounds in each video. It would have been easier to link back to a different video, instead of doing the extra editing. It helps TONS to have consistent instruction instead of having to switch between tabs! A lot of needle artists make that mistake, and end up confusing people. Keep being awesome!
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Alex. It was actually very tedious to edit so I'm happy that it didn't go to waste he he. I try to edit my videos how I would want to watch them, I do my best he he
This was SO helpful!!! Thank you SO much. I've been looking for a beanie tutorial that actually made some sense for quite a while!!! :D You're awesome. And I love your accent, btw!
Thank you so much for these videos! I will be saving so much money! my 9 year old daughter loves hats and we have made 1 white, but bought 6 other colors for her outfits :-) love it!
This is the easiest tutorial to follow. My mom loved the beanie I made her and asked me to make a few more for her friends. Somewhere along the way though I stitched 61 instead of 60 double crochets and I couldn't figure it out.
fantastic I'm now doing the length find your video very instructive and light easy to follow I followed before and made some seamless socks two pairs second was a lot better for me thanks from me Norman
Thank you so much. I did enjoy this video and will have a go. I have not made a beanie before so was very interested to see the increasing. I have done many squares and throws but it will be fun to do a beanie and refer to your very clear instructions.
Da Herbal Goddess do you still crochet? I just started yesterday and I finished my first project and if I may say it’s pretty good for a noob. Any tips? Mine has quite a few holes in it though..
Thanks for the video, I searched for one that would have just the right detail and speed, not too fast, nor too slow, and yours is great. I have a question though; mine has turned out larger than yours even though I've used the same hook size and yarn size. Wondering if it could be that my yarn isn't acrylic, I've used an organic cotton. Thanks for any help.
I made this hat love the tutorial. The only thing is it was still too big at the length so I had to to single crochet for the last 4 rows to bring it in a bit
thank you so much you are the best ever omg i learned how to crochet from you thanks you!!!! you are literally the best ever in the world thanks omg i love this Chanel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thank you!!!! ❤💙💚💛💜💜💛💚💙❤❤💙💚💛💜💜💛💚💙❤
Thank you so much for the very clear details on how to make the beanie. You have some of the best (if not THE best) crochet videos on TH-cam. The seam where I join each round is a bit rough. What I mean is that some of the rows have a hole there where I joined. (I made sure to count the stitches each time too.) Do you have any suggestions for how to make the seam more "seamless"?

could you use bulkey yarn ? and do the same patern ? I did mine and it turned out large. thaks have a lovely day or night. I don't know the timezone for the uk ☺
I've really enjoyed making this hat, thank you for the video. I made two of these. The first was the adult man/woman size and the second was for the small adult / teen size. But both of the hats turned out to be really large, way too big for my head. I followed all the stitches and counted out the rows on each one. Do you have any idea why my hats are turning out to be way too big?
This is exactly what I've been looking for, a clear and simple tutorial for a basic beanie. Thank you so, so much. Your instructions are so clear and you don't go too fast. I am wondering what you mean by "chunky" yarn though (I am a beginner). Can you name some brands, or perhaps someone else can? Thank you again..can hardly wait to get started on some hats!
Aww thank you so much for your kind feedback! Chunky yarn is the same as bulky yarn but don't confuse it with super chunky or super bulky yarn which is thicker. Chunky yarn has a yarn weight of 5 so look for a yarn that has a black and white yarn symbol on it that has the number 5 in it, this page has very useful information on yarn weights: www.craftyarncouncil.com/top10qa.html happy crocheting!
Hi there I'm a newbie (and subbed), and have just made your basic flower, it turned out fabulous. I did it with a 4mm hook and it still went well. Does it matter what hook size you use? I also did my last row as a double crochet front post stitch and it looked great
how would you do this, working fron the top down if you left a hole at the top, like a messy bun beanie, n tighten the brim. I'm sorda new to all this n made my some a hat from this pattern n really liked it, but not sure how to alter it on my own 😕
Mackenzie Sparks I havent done this, but I was considering it, as the hat's relatively simple and quick. I am going to put one of my hats on, count down to the row i need for the opening, then chaim that many and start from there. say you want the first 4 rounds out, you'd chain as many stitches as the 5th row, slip stitch to join, then work in the chain spaces and continue the hat from there. You can also look up messy bun beanie tutorials, too, and find one you like.
Very well explained! Could follow quite easy. Sadly i think my head is too small. Caus the beanie does fit bit sits not tight, so falls of easaly. Can i make it tighter one its almost finished?
I just had a question for you you said at the last of our change ask her do we change to and then run all the way or do we sing to all the time we start the beginning and then do one all the time I'm stuck
My hook and yarn size are smaller and my hat got so smaller how can i make it bigger with smaller size of yarn and hook ? Btw thanks for your tutorial you teached so clearly

Oh, thank you. I like your tutorials so easy to follow. #Beginner 😍 just started crocheting in June 2014 and I love it. 😍😍😍😍

you literally saved my christmas! my gma wanted a hat and all i knew how to do was infinity scarfs haha
Love this video. So easy. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thanks for the video, I searched for one that would have just the right detail and speed, not too fast, nor too slow, and yours is great. My hat seems to be bigger too. Going down a hook size next time. Using a 4ply yarn.
My favourite Bennie for all thank you for sharing x x x
I'm Only 11Years Old On Elementary Stage This Is Our Project Thanks For The tutorial You Are The Best!

I made this hat love the tutorial. The only thing is it was still too big at the length so I had to to single crochet for the last 4 rows to bring it in a bit

Aww thank you so much!!
Beat beanie video yet!
Best*
Very well explained. If I use a worsted yarn what have I to change so I get the right size?
Thank you so much for the very clear details on how to make the beanie. You have some of the best (if not THE best) crochet videos on TH-cam.
The seam where I join each round is a bit rough. What I mean is that some of the rows have a hole there where I joined. (I made sure to count the stitches each time too.)
Do you have any suggestions for how to make the seam more "seamless"?
Korinne Pyle Hi Korinne, thank you for your very kind feedback! For a more seamless finish you could skip slip stitching into the chain and slip stitch into the first stitch instead, then just work your stitches as normal into the same first stitch, although I haven't tested this method so let me know how you get on!
You can also crochet into the slip stitch, and then crochet into the first stitch so that you don't have to crochet into the first stitch every time.
So clear and helpful! Brilliant! Thanks
Excellent
This looks awesome and straight forward! Is it possible to make a graph design into this toque? All I’ve been able to find is ones that are done flat and then sewn up after. If so, how do I go about drawing it out to plan my vision? Thanks!
really great and simple tutorial, thank you!!
could you use bulkey yarn ? and do the same patern ? I did mine and it turned out large. thaks have a lovely day or night. I don't know the timezone for the uk ☺
I probably over looked but do you a video on making a video for making a beanie for a preamie babie
Hi love the tutorial,I’ve just one question,is the chain 2counted as a stitch.?❤
I've really enjoyed making this hat, thank you for the video. I made two of these. The first was the adult man/woman size and the second was for the small adult / teen size. But both of the hats turned out to be really large, way too big for my head. I followed all the stitches and counted out the rows on each one. This is exactly what I've been looking for, a clear and simple tutorial for a basic beanie. Thank you so, so much. Your instructions are so clear and you don't go too fast.
Very good lesson, will this fit a ladie's hat? Thznks
That's what it is for. She has multiple sizes in other videos.
Hi there I'm a newbie (and subbed), and have just made your basic flower, it turned out fabulous. I can't wait to do this beanie, I have watched the vid all the way through first so there are no surprises ;) when I attempt it real time along with vid (I recommend other newbies to do the same, as it really helps understand the full process).
You are so concise, methodical and clear with your instructions (there is nobody like you here on YT, great respect and credit to you:)
I was wondering if you could show us how to make a beginners large bag about 20" high 20" wide and about 10" depth, would be great for an overnight bag, beach bag or grocery bag!! :)
Totally lovin your style:)
Your videos are great. Thanks
I did it with a 4mm hook and it still went well. Does it matter what hook size you use? I also did my last row as a double crochet front post stitch and it looked great
blapper if you use a smaller hook the hat will be smaller but as long as it’s big enough it doesn’t matter
Hi! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial... I'd made this to my brother!! I'm so happy of my work.. ^_^
thank you for your easy explanation
how would you do this, working fron the top down if you left a hole at the top, like a messy bun beanie, n tighten the brim. I'm sorda new to all this n made my some a hat from this pattern n really liked it, but not sure how to alter it on my own 😕

Very well explained! Could follow quite easy. Sadly i think my head is too small. Caus the beanie does fit bit sits not tight, so falls of easaly. Can i make it tighter one its almost finished?
Add some rounds of single crochet :)
Hi, is it ok to use worsted weight yarn? Thanks! Love your work!
You can if using the same hook size but the over-all finish will have a gappier, more open stitch so may not look as good.
