We managed to film one of the smallest marine mammals, the harbour porpoise (Nise in Norwegian). A herd was playing alongside the boat when we managed to get some nice shoots with a polecam.
Thank you for sharing this! When I was diving regularly 50 years ago these lovely little animals always kept their distance…they were much more shy than Dolphins. So it is a pleasure to see them close up with your pole camera shorts..really excellent! Best wishes, Rob in Bournemouth , South Coast of England.
Could we use the first 5 seconds of this video to show in a non-commercial educational video? We would specifically use it in a video highlighting scientific research on the impact of the underwater noise of wind turbines on marine mammals, such as the harbour porpoise. We will credit WeDive TV. Thank you.
Moje Zlato, Serbian for "My Gold.'' When I was a child, about 8-10 years old, I came up with this idea of running around in the hallway near the kitchen of my Mom's house and saying, loudly to my sister, who was downstairs and who is six years older than me, "The porpoises are coming! The porpoises are coming!'' And then, " And I think they're going to get the best of us!'' I love male adult hakes the best, though, the best living organisms or any other kind or any other type of organisms in existence.
Porpoises are the smallest of the dolphin family, which includes their bigger cousins Bottlenose and Orcas. Yet, they're hunted by Orca as food and Bottlenose basically kills them for sport. I personally think they're the cutest of the dolphin family
Beautiful to see a Mercedes in the wild.
I was looking for this comment because I thought about posting it.
What makes it more funny is the same livery on the porpoise as is on the Mercedes.
Hey, I found it!

Whales are amazing!
Nothing more beautiful than seeing a Mercedes in its natural habitat!
Amazing how they swim around with ease.
So cute!

Porpoises are so overlooked, man.
I searched "porpoise" and had to scroll down a few dolphin videos to find this. Point proven!

All orcas don't kill porpoises. Only transient orcas kill porpoises. Resident orcas don't.
