    in the youtube world of people scamming you of your time and energy with clickbaits and half truths of how to do things, you my brother, I'm glad I clicked on your video, please keep going and maintain this same attitude towards providing this kind of value, you are genuinely rare to find in this cesspool of "how to make money doing x", I dont even plan to do 3d but what you have said in this video or the past 2-3 I watched, its very valuable knowledge for me to apply for my other work that I'm trying to make a reality, so thank you so much for that!
    I watched your "How I went from $0 to THOUSANDS per month as a 3D .." video which is a year old and was expecting *as this platform turns people into most of the times* to peddle the same bullshit packaged 5 times to maintain a "consistent" channel and I'm glad you didnt turn into that! Its really a surprise even reading the comments where people are likewise commending your knowledge that you are sharing aswell as people sharing tips and what worked for them, really goes to show what this art community lacked, this is getting too long, brother keep doing you, really love your positive attitude, !!!! I'm inspired and kinda assured in a way, that things will turn out good for me too, just gotta cold dm 500 ppl hahaha, much love man

      Damn dude that may be the longest comment I've ever gotten. Thanks so much for watching the videos and letting me know how much you appreciate them! I am also pretty annoyed at how repetitive TH-cam content has started getting and I'm hoping to make it here by being different haha
      My goal is to continue doing 3D, partially because I like 3D, but also because it gives me something to share and make content about. Happy to hear you're getting value out of the principles I teach and I wish you the best of luck with whatever you're doing!

    literally just binged all of your videoes - so glad i found your channel! Currently in the works of building my portfolio using blender, however i am currently "transitioning" slighty more into motion graphics in houdini and cinema4d - as i would like to experience working in a real 3D studio with Industry standard practices.
    Like you, i have gotten some pretty crazy referels from previous clients, such as Mugler x H&M where i helped out with their campaign in Denmark.
    You seem to have such a good and realistic grasp of freelancing in 3D, and your videoes have already helped me massively.
    Love the down to earth structure of your content, and how you make 3D freelancing seem more of an opportunity, as apose to an unclimbable mountain!!!
    Keep up the great work, cheers!

    I binged watched every single one of your videos in the last 48 hours. You have taught me a lot, and I mean a lot cuz i didnt even know about using contracts and stuff for freelancing and stuff. I do have a question tough, is it a good idea to message tiktokers that have products?. I was thinking of e-mailing them some free renders that i have made for them to use and see if they need any 3d artists like me. I haven't started yet cuz my semester exams are starting soon and i am thinking of actually building a proper portfolio right after that. Either way I hope the best for you cuz you have helped so many clueless 3d artists like me. And also that haircut makes you look british.

    • @renderer
      @renderer  ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Thanks! So glad to hear you're liking all the videos. I think messaging TikTokers is worthwhile if they seem to be doing good numbers. Just know that most dropshippers are operating on pretty thin margins and may not want to invest in 3D. People who are taking extra time to build a legitimate brand are probably gonna be best. With that said, it takes so little time to reach out - I'd still ask! Any brand that looks like they're getting consistently good numbers but have bad pictures on their social media and website may be interested. I see people like this all the time! Stay consistent. It may take hundreds of tries to find someone interested in paying for renders but once you get the first few clients it all gets easier. Keep it up!

    I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been using Blender as a 3D character artist for years, and I think I'm decent enough for freelancing. I just didn't know how to start or find clients. Turns out, freelancing is more than just working on your skills for designing. Thanks!

    Solid advice, this is basically the same approach I took for finding web design clients but on LinkedIn instead. Different platform, same approach. You just gotta show what you can do and let people know you're available.

    a tip for those living in a city or close to one: look into events that interest you, music or other things; for example: I like DnB and techno, and involve myself in the scene, you quickly get to know bookers; event organizers and the people that perform, all potential clients too, and a fun way to network ;)

    Awesome video man!! I don't think people realize how priceless this knowledge is. Do you have any advice when it comes to rates you should charge clients when they ask? Sometimes I find it hard to get a good balance to not underselling myself but not overcharging the client.

    best TH-cam recommendation ever;
    does it matter if your account is new? i made a new account on all social media to make it mor professional now am making renders and animation to fill it up before contacting potential clients.
    also thanks i watched all your vids

      Thank you so much! Yeah I'd probably not post all at once if you can help it. Maybe once per day if you're just filling out a feed. Bot accounts tend to post all at once and you sure don't wanna be mistaken for a bot if you're doing cold outreach lol

    How & Where to start begin learning Blender, Do you recommend a course or maybe a youtube playlist? How did you get started ? Could you please guide a newbie who is just getting into 3D Animation. Also i have an old Macbook Pro from 2015 with 2GBs graphics card and 16GBs ram would it be good enough in the beginning to learn?

      BlenderGuru's Donut tutorial is the most notoriously good and widely used tutorial series out there. If you're just starting off, I think he just made a new series for Blender 4.0. Check it out!
