When I'm in Malaysia, I never try to convert the currency. So if it's RM12 then to me it's $12. That way I appreciate the value of money as the locals. Ohh yeah the bus ride experience can be a good one if the driver or any passenger can speak English otherwise it can turn into a nightmare because you don't know when the bus will stop for rest since they don't have location with signs so better prepare well if you plan to travel outside the big city. As for Malaysian people I totally agree with you. They're super friendly. One time I got freak out because two young men came to talk to me and asked me alot of questions. This was the first time in my life that a total stranger was so friendly and I thought they were trying to trick me as I waited for the bus from TBS to Sungai Petani. The downside for me about Malaysia is the weather. I was sweating the whole time during my stay and I really admire at all Muslim sisters to dress modesty even though it's hot outside

Rm10 for a Ramli Burger..is still cheaper than burgers at Mc Donalds..or any Chain food outlets.
Lately, i'm shocked at food prices too. It's the inflation business-owners are taking advantage of. Take for example my dog groomer...she had already increased grooming cost early this year..and last month she told me she MAY increase it again. I told her she's not going to see her customers coming more often if she does that. I told her i would buy a dog clipper and do it myself. I told her she's destroying her own business by being greedy bcos there are many things people could do without..one of them is grooming a dog.

When I was a kid I didn't like my country and always thought of living abroad once I grew up. Thanks to the foreign movies that show beautiful places with 4 seasons and whatnot... Then I went on holiday to other countries (Australia, China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore) and each time I'd get homesick within just a few days. The food, the price, the facility, the weather, the people... being in some countries with people who don't smile back at me (+ the fact that I'm a hijabi and I've got cold treatment sometimes) really makes me appreciate Malaysia, my home country a lot more. I remember being in charged of foreign students back in university, one Japanese student on his 3rd day in the country told me that he got creeped out when strangers smiled at him whenever they made eye contact, and I had to assure him that he was not a target of robbery or kidnap by 20 people he met at the airport 😂

What a great and informative video.....thanks! Question: if I were to bounce back and forth for years from KL to Hanoi to KL to Hanoi as a US tourist, 85 to 89 days in each city, do you think Malaysia immigration would ever decline entry? I'd be staying in Vietnam just as long as Malaysia each quarter, clearly in each country for as long as the 90-day allows, but I've never heard of anyone doing this and I wonder if it is feasible year after year after year.... Thanks (I'm a subscriber).

Hey, I hope you are doing well! In theory it would work but it all depends on the immigration officer there is no 100 percent guarantee unfortunately. If i were you I would try to look into different visa options or have a backup lan just in case it doesn't work. Good Luck!

I'm a Malaysian, but I'm in the east side of Malaysia. Sarawak. To be honest Malaysian are really some of the most friendliest people on earth. Malaysia is peaceful most of the time. People are nice, views are beautiful, one of the best shopping place you can find in the world and the food.... u can eat different food everyday 365 days and still can get new tasty food here. I love being Malaysia. The only thing I wish is different here is the politics here. Its crazy. Malaysia without the politics could be the best country in the world to live, to travel or to retire. 😅😅

5:36 KL public transport is a shamble if you use it as a working person in the morning, if for tourism purpose, I can see it being very useful given that you don’t mind walking through roofless walkway for bus-train transition 😅
