My most fave place to go! It's got it all; class, history, fsnrsdtic venue, delicious food and an outstanding staff !!! I have found my "other happy place"❤❤❤❤

Back in 1974-75, I lived and worked in the Hacienda Hotel. It was, more or less, a retirement center - although the restaurant and bar was open to the public. I loved the place and had many great memories of wandering the halls. I was sitting in front of that fireplace with my Mom one night when we got the word that my niece was born. Mike & Jackie Battista owned it then. The renovations are beautiful and really nicely done. Thanks for sharing this.

It is an amazing old building! I am so glad they saved it, and people love it. The whole area has a lot of history. Thanks for watching and sharing a lovely memory! 🙂

I worked there from 1997 til our agency sold it back to the city! It was a 75 bed facility for the mentally ill. So many memories and stories there, wow! Looks great all fixed up. Supposedly co-workers who worked the night shift saw some crazy things and it was always said Matilda was out and about. There are (or were) also many secret stairways hidden (walls built over them) that were said to be service stairways. What a great place. It was always needing repairs though. I had the best office on the bottom floor, a huge window overlooking the park! It was at the very back corner (looking at the back it would have been all the way to the right). Many good memories there, glad to see some of the same things kept but fixed up! Thanks for sharing!

We like ghost tours. I have never seen any but Mike has. They lived in a rental when their house was being built. What looked like a Native American walked in the kitchen and when Mike followed all the cabinets and the frig were open. Nobody was there. It was really freaky.

Stayed overnight on March 17, 2023. Love the renovations. I KNOW our room may have had a guest from the past visit us during the night. Frigid cold in a spot. My cellphone will last 2+ days without a change. With better than 60% when we went to bed, it was Stone-cold dead in the morning.

We had those 2 experiences when we first got there. The door closed in our face, and the TV was on when it wasn't supposed to be. We had an excellent stay and have returned for lunch and dinner in the restaurant. It is really neat that you had experiences while there too. We loved this hotel and would return for another stay! Thanks for watching and sharing about your stay! 🙂

Hey I know this downtown. My family and I made it to New Port Richey this past June and we are loving it here. My grandson loves Sims Park💜. In June they were working on the landscape of the hotel. I didn't realize it was open. We love going to the little ice cream shop on the corner. Thank you for sharing the history of the area.

It finally opened in September. We actually had reservations on the day Ian hit so they canceled. Luckily even though Nicole hit they did not cancel. It is a cute little town worth visiting and maybe having a meal. There are a lot of good restaurants! Thanks for watching! 🙂

It sat empty for many years. Luckily they decided to fix it up. They play old time jazzy music quietly around the hotel. You feel like you are in another time. So worth a visit!
