They can’t, the studio that made Most Wanted (2005) doesn’t exist anymore and for some Copyright licenses like Toyota since they said they don’t support street racing
This is a PERFECT game for Switch. Looks excellent docked, looks excellent in handheld, native res, solid performance, and straight into the action, which plays perfectly into what the Switch is all about. I feel both this and Burnout Paradise are must own Switch titles.
I agree I have burnout and it runs great on switch lite.. the switch now has a ton of AAA games and its not stopping.. its like nintendo dont even care that next gen ps5 and series x exist.. the assassins creed games in the switch are also must haves, the look and run amazing in the switch lite...
This is exactly what I'm looking for. I have Burnout Paradise and god damn is it time consuming and annoying driving all over the map looking for traffic lights with events. I don't have time for that! I just want to grab the switch, and race. Sounds like this might be the game for me. Great review as always!
I’m still amazed at how great games look and play on the Nintendo Switch. The switch doesn’t have a powerful graphics card or CPU but it does have a pretty decent one. Games literally look better on the Switch than they do on the PS3 or Xbox 360. There was a recent system update on the Switch that enabled a graphics boost called AMD Fidelity 2.0. It works with the Switch because the Switch uses a Nvidia Tegra X1 chip and luckily it works with that chip i guess. I’m not sure if it works on all games but I’ve definitely noticed better colouring and better frame rates in some games. Borderlands 2 for example looks better now. Also I’ve noticed the sound is louder now when using Bluetooth. Overall the Switch is my favourite game console of all time. Great games , great console and very portable. I think the only thing i would like to see new on my Switch Lite is the picture move up to 1080p instead of 720p but I’m not sure if that will make that big of a difference anyway, plus the picture is great as it is now anyways and battery life if great so maybe 720p at a locked 30 FPS is perfect for the Switch Lite.
That’s the magic with remasters or ports you can play games like this on newer console. I don’t like that most companies charge almost original release prices for them but once they get discounted there well worth buying.

I would buy remastered versions of NFSU in a heartbeat. Not sure if the gameplay will still hold up, but the nostalgia alone would totally make up for it. 😁
Praise baby jeebus. I thought I was the only one that wanted A to B races without having redfined races and collect-a-thons. I also miss the crazy set pieces to the courses.
The one thing reviewers are failing to mention is the fact that you can remap the controls. This allows you to map the accelerator to the right joystick allowing analog control. I got used to using the joystick as an accelerator in Grid and it makes a world of difference

I just want a straight port of NFS: Most Wanted from Gamecube. that game is still my favorite NFS game and is one of the primary reasons I keep my Gamecube in my apartment.

Played this back when it originally released and was going to buy it for Xbox but considering I just got a Nintendo switch and the switch severely lacks any racing games outside of Mario kart I have decided to definitely pick this up for my Switch.I fully expected to be just as much fun now than it was 10 years ago
EA get a lot of stick and rightly so when it comes to the latest ports of FIFA on the Switch. But in this case, and after the news that Doom Eternal is cancelled/digital only, I can appreciate the decent ports of (albeit older games) Burnout and NfS this year that fits on a cartridge and was something Switch owners needed - good racing games. Already bought Burnout Paradise and loved, and I will gladly get this too
Burnout paradise would be a damn good NEED FOR SPEED game or even a fast n furious one off but as a BURNOUT game it’s fucking awful and the biggest disappointment besides all the shitty Flatout sequels lol but at least the creators of Flatout made up for it somewhat by creating the Wreckfest series they took away the best and unique parts of burnout and there hasn’t been anything like it since 😓
The only "Need For Speed" games that I have played are "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2" on the Nintendo GameCube and "Need For Speed: Rivals" on the PlayStation 3.
TO be honest this kind of "just drive" experience is exactly what I want - and what NFS is supposed to give. My only issue is... WHY NOT MOST WANTED. And I mean the original one. It's such a great game. It's so great it still is impressive, even 15 years later, the physics of the cars is just so fun, without all the takeouts and destruction and crazy stuff of the Criterion games. I might still pick this up, but... why did they choose to have this, when they could've made something better?
i doubt ea still has the og files for mw since black box disappeared years ago, what could be good is if they released the xbox 360 version to new-gen consoles and pc since that would be the least and possibly cheapest thing they could ever do.

Currently I match with PC and switch for some reason. Maybe my router port settings. Anyway pick it up if your inching for something different.
Nintendo really needs to release JoyCons with analog trigger support for games that could benefit from it that away developers actually build it into the games.

I love this game, the simplicit style of progression and unlocking everything and just thrusting into whatever the next event is, was exactly the kind of game i needed for a casual like me.
It was originally on the game cube. How you could forget that is amazing😆 i still play it even now😊 Online multiplayer is a down side though. Local Co op is still a thing and games like this are missing out a chunk of players by removing it entirely.
I don't get it. I haven't played a Need For Speed game since Hot Pursuit 2 (yeah I know, it's been that long) and was really looking forward to getting this game for the Switch. Now that i've played it for a bit, I gotta say I don't like it at all. You kept saying it's a good ol' fashioned racing game, i can't imagine any newer racing games would be any better. For one, the handling is complete crap, it feels like i'm driving a stiff boat and not a car and there's no way to adjust the handling sensitivity. Also there's too many in race cut-away shots that breaks the rhythm of my driving, why do I need a cut scene of a cop up ahead where all I need is a little alert off to the side in my hud. Lastly, you said the game was too linear (which made it feel old fashioned) and I'd say it feels too random (for at least the career mode). I don't mind variety at all but this feels like there isn't any structure to it though, it's like a jumbled bag of things to do. I don't know, maybe my preferences are too old fashioned and I've been left in the dust with these 'newer' racing games.
I wasn’t going to buy the physical copy of the game, because of the disclaimer on the cover that states that internet access is needed. Upon some research, it appears that the entire game is indeed on Nintendo Switch Game Card except multiplayer, which I am okay with.

That being said, of course "Need For Speed 3" is the proper Hot Pursuit game.

I bought it last night, and I have to say it's pretty good. I was honestly bored of Fire Emblem after the first run despite me loving the saga, and BOTW gets old after an almost 100% run and a master mode run.
why is NFS soooo underrated!! i mean you all give it props but this game on OLED IS THE TRUTH! i also bought it on ps5 and igot board of it REALLY fast, so fast i actually only played 2 x on there but like 50 on the Switch i had to give a review but its G ON OLED!
I was blown away when I saw Doom, Dark Souls and Bloodstained, etc. running in 60FPS on a hacked Switch, I won't buy a 30FPS game again. Will be waiting for a mod for this game. EDIT: 60 FPS mod is out, amazing.
I remember the original NFS 3 Hot Pursuit, one of My favourite things was you had write up on each car giving some basic history read by the announcer or whatnot

The game is good better than a lot it's second best after Need for Speed High Stakes, the game goes straight to the point but still has slightly slow cars it should just be the top top. Run well in Swtich! And it shouldn't even have a convertible opened but it's something that 90s players wanted and a fact.

id love it if nfs underground 2 was ported. i wouldnt care if it was the original version just upscale the textures then release it for a decent price. would also like to see midnight club 3 dub edition. we need more racing games with open world driving and the ability to customize cars any way we want. most wanted would be nice too.

I bought it last night, and I have to say it's pretty good. I was honestly bored of Fire Emblem after the first run despite me loving the saga, and BOTW gets old after an almost 100% run and a master mode run.

why is NFS soooo underrated!! i mean you all give it props but this game on OLED IS THE TRUTH! i also bought it on ps5 and igot board of it REALLY fast, so fast i actually only played 2 x on there but like 50 on the Switch i had to give a review but its G ON OLED!

I was blown away when I saw Doom, Dark Souls and Bloodstained, etc. running in 60FPS on a hacked Switch, I won't buy a 30FPS game again. Will be waiting for a mod for this game. EDIT: 60 FPS mod is out, amazing.

I remember the original NFS 3 Hot Pursuit, one of My favourite things was you had write up on each car giving some basic history read by the announcer or whatnot

the "real Hot Pursuit" is actually NFS III, then came Hot Pursuit 2 and then the modern reboot. This is a remaster of the reboot.
Dissapointed EA :( would've loved 1 and 2!! Coz look at how much u could customise ur car, bodykit, spoiler, neon under car! Hell, even pimp it out with speakers in the back!!! This why I have my PS2 😍

The game is good better than a lot it's second best after Need for Speed High Stakes, the game goes straight to the point but still has slightly slow cars it should just be the top top.
