    Thanks so much for sharing this video. It saved me from blasting and hosing my screens :). I’ve cleaned all of my 1 story home screens in about 1 hour with one bucket of water and few drops of dish soap and just a normal paint roller. By the time I finished the first ones were ready to be installed. This method is greener than any other. Great job !!!

    I personally get a bucket with a little soap water and bleach and clean them against a exterior wall or flat on a concrete surface with a soft brush so that I can scrub them good and so the screen doesn’t get pushed out. I’ll then spray them off and give them a few taps on each side and stack them off to the side. By the time I’m done cleaning windows they are usually dry.

    • @ccwindowcleaningllc.4706
      @ccwindowcleaningllc.4706  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but I'm a little bit too busy to deal with giving every crew a gallon of bleach Reinventing how to clean a screen, having them find a place on the ground to scrub them, the list goes on and on

    Good tips, but I'm amazed at how much focus is put on getting things as fast as possible, rather than doing it as well as possible. Sure, if you have to do 70 per day, speed is important, but if I'm hiring you and paying for the work, I'm less impressed at how fast you got it done and more impressed at how conscientious you are about doing a completely thorough job.
    Suggestion: do all three. Brush with the brush, then polish with the cloth, THEN water-load and smack it. That'll not only do a really thorough job, it'll also communicate to your customer that you take their trust seriously and want to do the best possible job.
    Good luck growing your company. Keep in mind that your customers' impressions about how good of a job you and your employees do is more important in the long run than putting the first priority on speed alone.

    Do you ever run into screens that have deteriorated plastic joints that are just barely holding the screen together? I basically use the same technique you do but thank you for some of the pointers that will speed things up. Any suggestions on deteriorating frames? Did you say you charge $3.00 per screen? I have been charging $2.00 but it doesn't seem to be enough.

    Abundantly useful content my friend!! Exceptionally informative! Couple questions; why don’t u hose the screen down to rinse the soap off? (Probably not necessary) And last question, when u smack the screen on the bucket to purge the dirt off, aren’t u contaminating your bucket of soapy water? So fresh bucket for every screen, or not necessary? And forgive me if u addressed these in the video, I have it playing while “working”, so can’t pay full attention.

    • @ccwindowcleaningllc.4706
      @ccwindowcleaningllc.4706  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah tons of water in the bucket should last you at least 20 screens you could refill the bucket around the house when you get to the next spicket if you want, the reason I don't hose the screens down is because I clean the screens window to window this is just the fastest way to do it unless you have like 90 screens and you clean them all in one pile and they are all the same size I can go into the math and a very long explanation but seriously just do what is in the videos as a practice as if you were a doctor continue to practice it over and over and over trust me and you will be fine!

    I used to do it this way and could never see the value in the screen washers. I got a Aztec cleaner recently - so worth the money. Get them cleaner, faster and easier on the back

    • @user-zs9iq7sd5m
      @user-zs9iq7sd5m 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The way I did it was just under 20 seconds, and I leave the screen by each window and pop it in afterward there's no way that that Aztec thing saves time, unless you have about 50 screens at one house to do, but if they come out from the exterior we pop them out and leave them by the window and carry the bucket around then pop it back on the window because we have to carry the bucket around to clean the windows anyway, this is definitely the fastest way especially if you have an assistant doing it while you're cleaning the windows when you leave when you're done with the last window you pop the screen on and the job is complete!!!.... you don't have to walk around the house finding the right screen for each window and spending another 45 minutes when you do about 4 or 5 houses a day you cannot have this type of finish.....

      @ccwindowcleaningllc.4706  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I found a way to clean screens without taking them out. I first dust the area, clean the tracks with my window mop with a solution of Dawn and white vinegar mixed up in cool water. I begin to clean from the outside with a pole then do the insides. I do the windows and the screens together. Clients have bad screens, and some will break if you try to take them out. I do have a few rags with me. I do the outside first.

    First off thanks for doing this! BUT! You shouldn’t hit them that hard! Rewatch your video after you say “you can hit them pretty hard”, pause it at 5:35 and look at the two (2) points of bends/bows! First from short corners your left hand side (watchers right) the contact points are bent! Then look from that corner to his left hand there is clearly a bowing!
    Im not criticizing you im just pointing this out. Instead of slamming it on bucket, use water hose to rinse it off, then the rag method works same I lightly flick screens with finger as well you are just, knocking excessive water off then set in sunlight to dry!

      C & C Window Cleaning LLC. Window cleaning is easy and owning a restaurant or factory requires money up front. You can clean one house and probably make what your paying a week. For the cost of stack ladders a bucket soap and hand tools you can start cleaning windows. They can also go to your jobs bid them less and just do what you was paying hourly, plus its no different for the business or home owner because they never saw you other than to bid the house/business and collect if you do that in person.
