If I was having a large gathering for Thanksgiving and feeling fancy I would do these. It's only going to be my hubby and I. I've never seen the potato bacon roses. I've seen people do it with pepperoni. They're too beautiful to eat.
I love sweet potatoes, carrots and white or yellow potatoes. I could eat one of them every single day. I’m going to make the sweet potatoes like you made in the crockpot for Thanksgiving. I’m tempted to go ahead and just make them now.😂
So far, out of all the fall/thanksgiving recipe vlogs that I have seen, these are by far the best and the ones I will try for get togethers. I don’t do holidays, but, we enjoy life all year long with those around us and these recipes are perfection!! Thank you so much. And the bacon and potato roses look so impressive for being so easy. Thanks so much for sharing these fantastic bites on your channel. BTW…. I love your videos.
Those rose potatoes look so beautiful. And yummy! I think you could thin slice some onion and sneak in a few pieces. These would be so pretty for Valentine’s Day also. I’m not into root veggies but those carrots are another matter! The dressing muffins are in all the way. BTW You could have used your cheese grater with the slicer blade that comes with it. Thanks Amber 💕🙏
To keep your tins pan cleaner and to look festive try muffin/ Cupcake parchment paper cups to line them pans also available in pretty festive colors if you are making them for a holiday! Just an idea 😏
I'm also a root vegetable person. 2 of my kids will be here Christmas Eve. Those rose potatoes will look great with our dinner along with the root vegetable au gratin. I can't wait. Thank you for the new recipes.
I think by far those potato roses are the prettiest & most delicious looking potatoes I’ve EVER seen! I love your idea of stacking the root veg casserole too! Yum! You aced it Amber! 😋
I saw someone do that same thing you did with potato and bacon BUT with apples and an unwound refrigerated cinnamon roll to make a beautiful little apple dessert. 😯
What fabulous recipes you've brought us this week. I have to admit, I really don't like sweet potatoes, its the texture. My favourite dressing is lemon juice with just a touch of olive oil and freshly crushed black pepper. I would certainly love all of the recipes you've made today. Parsnips are a firm favourite of mine, my mum told me that during the war they substituted these for bananas. I wanted to dive in to that Veg au gratin that you made, its definitely going on my Sunday dinner list. (I like to make something a bit more special on a Sunday). I can't use stuffing mixes as I'm allergic to Sage but I could follow your recipe without the sage. I can't thank you enough for sharing these recipes with us. You've just made my christmas dinner menu so much better. Thanks again xxx
Those root veggies look totally awesome! I want to try that dish for sure👍❤️. All of your sides look so delicious and appealing.... Great options😍 5 stars
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 SO GOOD!!!! Thanks for sharing and inspiring. I am Definitely going to try the rose potatoes and stuffing. But they All look Amazing!!!!! Thanks Again!!!
I made the arugula salad for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a big hit. The dressing to amazing. I didn't have lemon juice so I used lime. I was worried it would not taste as good but it really was very good.
These all look fantastic! I saved each recipe! The stuffing muffins will now be at my Thanksgiving. Thank you! I will make the root veg gratin and bacon potato roses this week. Yum!
Love the potato roses! I made apple roses with puff pastry before & it’s the same concept. Thanks for all the ideas! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
The minute you started struggling to find the word you were looking for I knew I needed to follow you 😂😂 I do that allllllll the time. Really enjoying your videos and recipes! Glad I stumbled upon your site
Yes, that looks so delicious. Have you ever tried rutabago, it is wonderful. My mom always made ham, red potatoes green beans, and rutabago with the side of cornbread homemade, not jiffy mix, ugg. It was so good.
I just found your videos, watched this one, and subscribed. I will be trying all of the recipes. Thank you for sharing. I love the scripture at the end of your video 😊❤
Just came across your channel today while looking for Thanksgiving side dishes. I loved each and everyone of your recipes. Especially the one with the stuffing in a muffin cup. I'm usualy the only one eating any and this way I could freeze some of the leftovers. I also liked how you scaled the recipes down. I bet if you left the pecan whole for the candied one's they would make a great gift. You could always cut them smaller after they are done. And I subscribed, now I have to watch more of your videos.
19:15 I love all the root veggies you have in this recipe. I'm going to have to try this when our local stores get the veggies in . Parsnips and beets have to be my all time favorites and sweet taters too. Question: do yellow beets taste like the red ones or do they have a different flavor? Ooh, I wonder how fennel would go with that? I like to put it in with the other veggies when I do roasted root veggies.
I really loved this video. I will be making a couple of the recipes to take to our thanksgiving. Looks so delicious. By the way I wanted to know where you got your top the green one your wearing I love it. It looks green anyway. Hope you and your fam have a wonderful thanksgiving. Keep the recipes coming.
I just recently found your channel. I really enjoy your recipes and watching you prepare them. I plan on making all the recipes in this video but wondering if the baked dishes can be made a day or two ahead of time and then reheating them on Thanksgiving day. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Don’t forget those sausage stars that you made a few months back. They’re a great appetizer at the holidays. And you can substitute crab meat for the sausage, and it is to die for!
Love root veggies but not a huge fan of beets or potatoes. I added this to my dinner this week but I’m going to stack the veggies like I would a ratatouille so the spoonfuls can be all four veggies. My family is going to live this.
ALL your dishes/recipes look yummy ALL BY THEMSELVES 👍😋. However, as another cook, like you, and because I love to add personal additions/touches to any dish I cook I would add a few tweaks (only because its what I do, NOT because your recipes need them. To me thats what cooking is all about, personalizing your dishes/recipes.) So for your carrot dish I would probably toss all ingredients in a bowl together before baking to ensure even coating, than to simplify the baking process, just wrap in foil and bake them all together for the total bake time. Your root vegetable au-graten looks great. I think my preference would be to toss all the root vegetables together (after their individual prep) for the bake time, thus creating a random surprise element for the eating/taste time, but I would add a tiny bit of crumbled bacon bits on top for final bake time for added flavor and texture. I would tweak the stuffing muffin cups, by adding some diced onions, with a little more broth for added moistness 😊 to the stuffing. My go to seasoning for stuffing is poultry seasoning. Your video is great! 👍 Thanks for sharing.
I used a thinner cut the first time and a thicker cut the second time. If you use a thinner one, you can roll it more times but the thicker one worked just fine too!
Yes the potato roses we sooo good and so easy With the mandolin also the next day because it’s my husband and I and I made like six I cut the rest up and just made an egg scramble out of it so yummy thanks again you’re a great cook simple easy and not complicated and just the right speed when you’re talking I’m a season Cook been Married almost 50 years but you can always learn something new thanks again❤️❤️❤️

Can the potatoes roses be made and cooked the day before and reheated?? Just don't have the time to do this on Thanksgiving!!
Oh absolutely!! I think they actually would reheat nicely. I would just cover with foil so they don't burn

Can I use feta cheese instead of goat cheese on carrots?
Sure!
Can I freeze the leftover stuffing mix I didn't bake?
Hmm... I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not?
Hi, with what other cheese can I replace goat cheese?
Cream cheese or a soft cheese would probably work!
Are the Gardyn seeds “heirloom” seeds?
I actually don't know the answer to that. I would send in a comment on their website. I did a quick search but didn't find anything on that.
