Hi Mandy, To answer your question, we always serve deviled eggs with our meal as well. Now, I must say it’s sad to see you shred the cheese and not see Gracie Lou beg for her share. 😢. I hope saying that doesn’t make you sad. We all miss her too. I love your videos and feel like I know you and your family. God bless and thank you for what you do!
I am the designated deviled-egg-bringer and I just set them out on the buffet whenever we get to the family gathering. About half get eaten before the meal is ready, then they pile on more on their plate for dinner. I never have leftover eggs so I take that as a compliment! ❤
Hi Mandy, deviled eggs are always on our holiday menus as a side dish! Also, just a suggestion, with the sausage balls, instead of Bisquick use a box of the Red Lobster Biscuit mix with the enclosed seasoning packet! So delicious!!
We do deviled eggs as an appetizer! Mandy thanks for mentioning Gracy Lou - we all thinking about her but don’t want to make you sad. I’m crying like a baby now I’m sorry! Sausage balls were beautiful. Thank you
Mandy - it's been 14 years since my kitty, Mr Peaches, passed away. I still miss him and think about him all the time. I totally understand your pain. On a lighter note - I giggled when you said "gah-lic". I love your channel ❤️
When my Uncle Bill made the deviled eggs they were devoured before dinner. Mostly by me! I could eat the entire thing if no one was watching! He made the best I ever had. God bless Uncle Bill!
I love how supportive Steven is. What a fun couple you are, these look great. We serve the deviled eggs with the meal, but often folks grab them to munch on early too, so I guess they would be BOTH! :-) Also, pimentos are a pepper so it makes sense that the cheese ball with the red pepper is reminiscent of pimentos.
Stephen sold me on the cheese ball! But I am definitely making all 3 over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. My son-in-law is not a turkey lover! These should make him happy!
My mom makes sausage balls ALL the time. It’s kinda her “thing”. She makes them and divides them into freezer baggies and sends them home with us when we come over. I LOVE the “cheese skirt” they get. She also sprinkles hers with a little paprika and sometimes for kicks & giggles she’ll use 1/2 sausage & 1/2 Churizo. SO good!
My daughters great grandmother taught me how to make the sausage ball 25 yrs ago. They are very good. She passed away a yr later but I asked her grandmother if I could get her recipes to copy. There are so many depression meals in that binder. I'm so blessed I can pass it down to my daughter with mine, and their recipes.
Oh, my goodness! I’m 72 years old and it has been over 30 years since I’ve even heard of Sausage Balls! After watching y’all make and eat them, I could hardly wait to buy the ingredients and come home to make them! After sharing a few with a neighbor, she’s talked me into adding them to my ‘Thanksgiving’ meal! Everyone will surely enjoy them, too! (I just ate 3 of them for breakfast! YUM!). 😘
@ Having ulcers, I can’t really tolerate any heat, so I’m not sure. My guess would be that if you like the heat in that sausage, you’d love it in the Sausage balls. The cheese tends to tone it down a little! Hope this helps!
I made a pumpkin shaped cheese ball for a Hocus Pocus party last month but instead of putting shredded cheddar on the outside, I ran Doritos thru my food processor to cover my pumpkin. It was completely covered with no bald spots and it was a nice orange color. I was concerned that the Doritos would get soggy but I’m happy to say they didn’t and it was so good!
If your not wanting to make so many of each appetizer, only 3 in our family, you could make the “stuffing parts”, divided it in thirds and freeze two of the 1/3 portions and put into freezer. That would give you quick and easy, pull out of the freezer, to use for Christmas and New Year. Batch cooking, yum! Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
The feta pullovers sound & look amazing! I’ve made the sausage balls before. I take a banana wax pepper slice and pop it on top. The pumpkin shaped cheese ball sounds good too! I make the deviled eggs every year. It’s more of a side dish. ( I use horseradish with a little Hellman’s mayo, S & P. Yum!)
Have always had deviled eggs with meal as a side dish just cause that's what my Mama always did! Have I told you lately how much I adore you and your family. At 73 yrs old I don't get around much and I feel like I'm visiting when I watch y'all!! ❤❤
Mandy, if you love those feta pastries, you would love cheese boureg. It’s something my family makes for almost every holiday. It’s cheese stuffed puff pastry, with a different cheese blend. The cheese mixture is Monterey Jack cheese, cottage cheese (just a couple TBS), feta cheese, parsley, egg, salt and pepper. You make it basically the exact same way as those feta fold overs…they are SO good.
We always had deviled eggs with dinner but they were always on the counter with the stuffed celery and olives buffet style . There were absolutely no 😂 appetizers at our thanksgiving. If you wanted something extra you got dessert or leftovers. We always had tons of choices at Thanksgiving and no room for appetizers in the fridge later.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is destroyed let our fur babies go. I hope you will smile with memories of her. I lost my 17 year old calico in May and it is still hard. Hugs for you.
Mandy, this Canadian viewer will be using these ideas for my family Christmas get together and/or get together with friends. Keep up the great ideas that can be used all year long. Devilled eggs are an appetizer.
Side dish because like you, we eat at like 2 so there's really no need for added prepared stuff day-of since we're snacking on the leftover ingredients and such that we "prepped" too much of as we're cooking throughout the day anyway. I don't know about you, but in our house, there always manages to be some extra celery that we've cut for the dressing but don't need and we almost always have a jar of PB in the cabinet so that's our snack as far as the kids and girls go and the guys just snack on chips while they're watching the first game.
I say deviled eggs anytime. Our family loves them!! Mandy these all look delicious. The pumpkin cheese ball is cute. My daughter made one like that last year. Love you and Steven❣️❣️ He is so supportive of you❤️❤️ God bless all of you🙏🏼 see you in the next video🦃🦃🦃
We have deviled eggs with our meal but then again we don’t usually have appetizers. All of those look so delicious. It’s so funny how the cream cheese hater loves the cheese all the most!! Thank you for the great ideas.
Mandy, my dear, as great as all of this food looks ... your cuteness overshadowed the whole video! The color of your eyes really popped and your nails look fantastic!
All these look delicious. I think the feta cheese puffs are going to be my first try. They are just like Greek Spanakopita and I love those. We never have eggs of any kind on Thanksgiving. But, I serve my deviled eggs as an appetizer or just as finger food at all parties. I also make them throughout the year just so there’s something in the fridge to grab and eat immediately. That’s how it has to be when there’s nothing but men in the house. Love you guys!
Oh gosh Mandy, once again you were super fabulous at making these three recipes, and I would love to try all of them just not all at once but throughout a week. Thanks again for this great video and so happy to see how much Steven loved those, and I had Gracie Lou in my heart again. Sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🥰😘💕💜💜💜💜💜
I would love to have that herb garden but we don't have wifi and from my understanding you have to have wifi you're recipes looks good ❤❤❤ we serve devil eggs with the meal
We serve any deviled eggs as part of the meal. I don't serve them at Thanksgiving but I do at Christmas and Easter meals and of course for the 4th of July. My family would take them any time I make them. I love me a good sausage ball but all of the recipes today look delicious.
We do deviled eggs with the meal....... Since my family doesn't like bisquick I always use red lobster cheddar bay biscuit mix in my sausage balls.... It gives them so much flavor I love it...
You did a great job on all three. No one in my family ever served deviled eggs for Thanksgiving, but I saw them around the 4th of July. I would like the sausage balls and the puff pastry but with another filling other than fetta.
also--separate your eggs in your hand--not the shell. Let the white go through your fingers as the yolk sits in your palm. It works sooo well and is fun!!
I just ordered my Gardyn after seeing how convenient and easy it has been in your videos for months now! Thank you for always sharing with us, it’s nice to know that an item is truly worth it before spending so much money!
Once deviled eggs are on the table they are gone. I love them for holidays and for a guilty pleasure just for me. lol who knew the Mandy hair tie trick? Brilliant! Happy T day
Our family loves deviled eggs. They are eaten as an appetizer as well as with the meal. We have to use 6 dozen to 12 dozen eggs For our large family. Side note: each woman in our family makes theirs differently.
We have the deviled eggs out before the meal on the table with the appetizers and then include them when we are ready to eat the meal. So for us, it is both❤️
I usually have a cheese ball, and fresh veggies with a dip. I always called the cheese ball "Aunt Delphine's cheese ball because she always brought it to family gatherings. Many years past and I discovered it was THE Craft cheese ball recipe😊
Sausage balls are a favorite here..especially this time of year..I add hot sauce when using regular or mild sausage..also because I am on keto, I use almond flour. I’m making more tomorrow. Never made a cheese ball before, but this one really inspired me.
Don't worry everyone. Gracie Lou is a happy kitty in heaven and gets all the cheese she wants!! As for deviled eggs, we serve them with the meal. Oh my, those feta pullovers look amazing!
Beautiful appetizer tray! Served with the Thanksgiving meal are the deviled eggs because we rarely gather until close to eating time mid day by 12 or 1. (Everyone brings something). We make Sausage balls substituting 1/2 cup "Italian seasoned panko pork rinds" instead of flour because we're doing low carb. Also we really like using xtra sharp cheddar.
I make sausage balls all of the time. I made them with Bisquick for years until..I discovered they taste so much better if you use stove top instead of Bisquick! Just make the stovetop as directed. I use chicken broth instead of water. They are amazing!
we start with the deviled eggs and they usually end with the meal 😂 we make a few dozen at a time.... the feta puff pastry looks really delicious but my kids & grandson would love all of those (I can't eat certain things 🤷♀️) I'll definitely be making them all 💕 thx for some great recipes Mandy y'all have a blessed week
Devilled Eggs are an appetizer in my house, when ever you eat them they are good! I've made the sausage balls before and they are yummy! Love your channel!
We always have deviled eggs for Thanksgiving, and they are served with the dinner. My grandmother and mom always served with dinner. Never thought of them as an appetizer for Thanksgiving. Just love watching your channel. Miss Gracie Lou too. 🥲
Hello from Texas. We always serve deviled eggs with the meal as part of the crudite platter. I am going to have to try the cheese ball. You could have put some red pepper flakes in it since you couldn't find the spicy ranch. Have a great week 😊
I do the deviled eggs for our Thanksgiving, and yes, they just go with the meal. We go to my sister’s house, which is the one our grandmama lived in and we grew up in.
Beautiful presentation. I looked at all the recipes you listed for this video, but I must say Yours looks the best and your additions to each is sounds so much more appetizing . You are amazing! Our family shows up just in time for eating because they all contribute to the meal and are cooking in the morning at home. So with that said, We don't necessarily do appetizers, the deviled eggs are just out for anyone to enjoy before the meal and then with the meal. Thanks and Hugs
i mix meatloaf and sausage balls with my stand mixer always..and deviled eggs we serve with the meal. i was always the one who had to make them and i dont even like them
My deviled eggs are so popular with the family that they have become appetizers AND a side dish. They are the first thing people dig into when we set out the appetizers, and I make a second tray to put on the table.
Whenever we have deviled eggs, they are part of the meal. I make sausage balls too. Family and friends ask for them all the time. But I actually brown up my sausage first, I drain it on paper towels. I use regular sausage but I add onion, garlic and cayenne pepper while cooking it. It adds some great flavor. Cooking the sausage first, I don’t need to add much of the Bisquick . Love your pumpkin cheese ball😊
I choked back a sob when I saw her shred the cheese. I always think of Gracie Lou whenever I watch Mandy ❤
Aww I’m so sorry about Gracie lou
Everything you said right here...I AGREE!
Gracie Lou 🩷😞
Yes so true
I have been calling my cat Gracie Lou when she begs for food when I’m cooking.
Deviled eggs in our family are usually gone before they make it on the table.
Mine too!
I am the designated deviled-egg-bringer and I just set them out on the buffet whenever we get to the family gathering. About half get eaten before the meal is ready, then they pile on more on their plate for dinner. I never have leftover eggs so I take that as a compliment! ❤
That's so funny! They must be amazing deviled eggs!
I like how your husband always seems to enjoy the food you two are adorable
Thank you Peggy!
Hi Mandy, deviled eggs are always on our holiday menus as a side dish!

We do deviled eggs as an appetizer! Mandy thanks for mentioning Gracy Lou - we all thinking about her but don’t want to make you sad. I’m crying like a baby now I’m sorry! Sausage balls were beautiful. Thank you
Oh Debbie, you are so sweet. I think about Gracie Lou probably 40 times a day. Sometimes I cry, sometimes I smile. But she will never be forgotten.

I know and then you talk to her as normal for you KNOW SHE’S listening, maybe even a little better now! She was one good girlie 😇💕
Mandy - it's been 14 years since my kitty, Mr Peaches, passed away. I still miss him and think about him all the time. I totally understand your pain.

Suggestion for cheeseball: how about sprinkling paprika all over for a more pumpkiny color?
Deviled eggs are a side dish in my family. Some people have them as a appetizer.
We have them with Easter dinner and summer picnics as a side dish
Turnovers would be my pick. I'd add some sauteed spinach too. Have a great day!
Steven was right when he commented on the presentation! That cheese pumpkin really stood out. Thanks Mandy. 🧀
Mandy thank you for the ideas
Miss Gracie Lou prayers continuing to be sent love you ❤
Stephen sold me on the cheese ball! But I am definitely making all 3 over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. My son-in-law is not a turkey lover! These should make him happy!
Thanksgiving this year will be a small gathering and simple cooking. I’m enjoying your company on my birthday today 🌻🤍

Mandy, my family always adds Pimento cheese to our sausage balls. It makes them so much better!!
Is it added or in place of the Cheddar? I love spicy pimento cheese...will have to up my game next time! Sounds good!
Yes this!!! The ALDI one with jalapenos is perfect for sausage balls!!! Steven would love them!
@ no, we use this exact recipe but add a cup of the pimento cheese. It turns out great!
@erinb.5103 thank you!

We serve the deviled eggs with our meal unless the kids find them in the fridge. 😊 But I make extra for that.

I think Stephen liked the pumpkin cheese ball so much because he subconsciously craves cream cheese.

We serve deviled eggs mostly as an appetizer.. we're lucky if it makes it long enough to eat at the meal 😂. My son devours them.
I have a question. Does puff pastry have to be warm to be flavorful? I think of it as being very bland. Just a vehicle for the stuffing.
