Bless your heart you need to order the precut parchment squares and circles. It’s better than all the fluff of trying to get that thick paper to work especially in small dishes.
I love the cream cheese mints! We used to make them for every wedding, baby shower, you name it. The only difference is we pressed the mixture into rubber molds so we had leaves, roses, tulips, stars! It was a group effort and I have great memories of a bunch of us sitting around the table making mints. Thank you for bringing these memories back for me!
You're such an easy and sweet person to learn from, great instructions. Especially loved the Bible verse at the end. New subscriber here and can't wait to check out the rest of your videos. Thank you, Merry Christmas and God bless you always 🤗
Hey, young lady! Don't be so hard on yourself! There is no way you can know all aspects of prep or cooking. 😊 I've been cooking for many years, holidays and all but I am still learning all the time! In fact, I've learned things from you too! Great video and presentation. I enjoy you and your family. God bless all here!
I spray bottom of pan with cooking spray then cut 2 pc parchment width and up sides each way in pan base, allows you to lift out and pull away after set. Allows you to cut perfect squares or bars.
😂 Amber, I remember helping my mom make these cream cheese/powdered sugar candies for my wedding back in 1973! She had these little rubber type candy molds of roses, bells, and I think a leaf. You are right, they tasted good.
9:07 love the description, candy ball things. 😊 If it involves peanut butter you have my attention. A quick candy that's no bake is 1 package chocolate chips, half a package butterscotch chips. Melt over double boiler. Add half to one package chow mein noodles and mux well. Drop by spoonfuls on parchment paper and let set. I have also added raisins , craisins or dried cherries on occasion.
My sisters and I just made peanut butter balls last weekend. My granddaughters love to help us roll the balls. I get the job of being the "dipper". LOL
I’m absolutely mesmerized watching whatever you make. I like how you demonstrate & describe the method & measurements. Even the little blips are fun. Than you for adding happiness to my days.
Spray your pan before you put the parchment paper down and it sticks down. Also scrunching parchment paper up helps. Great easy recipes! Thanks for sharing!😊
I just watched your video from 3 days ago. I can totally relate about height. I was 5'3"; I recently lost an inch. I can barely reach my stove top when cooking. I have to sit on my walker to buzz around my kitchen. I am partially disabled. I can't walk long distances or from one room to another without struggling. So, I sit on my walker and buzz around my kitchen. I have a hard time holding my arms up when mixing food on the stove. If I wasn't partially disabled, I would stand on a footstool to reach into my instant pot or a pot on the stove. It's challenging. One of my best friends is 4"9', and she has to look up to me!!! I'm not that much taller then she is, which is funny. We joke about it all the time. So don't feel bad. Besides, being short has it's benefits. That means we have to have our husbands reach things for us. Shows them they are needed. 🤣 From other TH-camrs, they fold the wax paper on the bottom of your pan and then cut the corners so it fits inside the pan with a hang over this side. You got this!!!! God bless you and your family. ❤
These are all so beautiful and delicious looking! I’m not a great baker either but I love no bake treats to give out at this time of year. Thanks bunches! 🌻💕
Spray the bottom of your PAN before you laid the parchment paper down that always helps. And then just a little bit of cooking spray inside the parchment paper. Will also help bring your other stuff out❤
Amber, can you possibly mix food colorings that your son can have to achieve the green color that you were looking for? Also, to get into the corners of your baking dishes, I use the bottom of my metal measuring cups to press things down. It works very well for so many different recipes and it also helps to make it easier to have them level throughout the dish.
Actually, if you leave the top of the graham cracker peanut butter mix a little rough, your chocolate topping will nestle into those tiny spaces and stick to the bottom layer really well! When I smooth it out, I found the layers tended to separate. If you score the chocolate layer before it is 100% hardened I think you will find cutting it goes smoother.
Your threats look so good. I’m going to try them all. My family is going to be extremely excited because I hardly ever make anything sweet. Thank you for sharing these easy recipes.
Hi. For those that can't have peanut butter, I am one of those, whenever a recipe calls for peanut butter I substitute unsweetened salted Sunflower seeds butter. I think it's not exactly the same taste, but I think it kinda tastes a little like peanut butter. Grin. 😊 Cali Lady
I love you show. Parchment paper work, space we need to go into five pieces. Cut one to fit the bottom of the dish. Then measure the four side’s cutting about a inch higher than dish. Another way is a three way cut measure from one side across the bottom and to the next side leave these sides a little longer about 3 inches. Then cut the remaining two sides and put in place after your dish is finished you can use the one long piece to lift your dish from the pan.
Parchment paper tips to try: Scrunch the paper into a ball with your hands as if you're getting ready to throw it away, but then unscrunch it and it will be less apt to move around. I have also seen Kelly over at "Kelly's Korner" use clothes pins to hold the paper in place until she's ready to pop the pan into the oven. I've never tried that, but it looked easy enough and it did hold the paper in place.
First time watching you and you're great bc you're very relatable. When I make brownies or rice Krispy treats I cut 2 strips of parchment and spray corners with non stick. I also use a tad of spray to hold the parchment and t shape them. Then you are able to pull the bottom right up and out to cut.
First time seeing your video. Popped up when I searched Christmas treats 💝 These look so good! Thanks for taking time to make this video 💝 Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas 🎄💝
Set the dish on your parchment paper and cut from the edge to each corner. The paper will fold into the dish easily. For the mints, have you looked at gel food coloring? A small bit will yield a bright color. (Not sure if they make some that your son can have.)
Cut your parchment into 2 wide strips that will fit into the pan and hang over each side about 2-3 inches .... and use a binder clip to fasten to sides
Crumble your parchment up to help relax it and then we reopen and use. Can also cut slits in the sides that go up the sides to fold easy in the tray. ❤
While scrunching the parchment paper between my hands into a ball, I hold it under running water. Wringing the water out and it will lay perfectly in the pan
This is the way I do parchment paper. Put a piece on your counter & turn your dish over on top of the parchment. Cut along 2 of the sides (right & left) leaving enough so it will come up on the other sides ( top & bottom) to be used as handles to lift it out when you’re ready to cut into bars. Also when you’re pressing it down, you can also spray your hands with nonstick spray. Also spray the baking dish with a little too before you put the parchment in. Here’s a tip for cutting the bars, run your knife under really hot water, then quickly dry it & then cut. You may need to repeat the hot water step. As far as peanut butter & allergies go, my granddaughter has a severe peanut butter allergy. She can however have a product called “Barney Butter”. It’s sold in the peanut butter section. When I sent my husband to get some, he thought it was a type of butter & was looking among the butter & margarine!! I just saw a trick where you measure out the parchment one inch bigger then your pan and then you lay your pan on top and cut squares out of the corners of the parchment so that it looks like a plus sign. then when you put it in your pan the parchment paper lays smooth in the corners and sides. I hope that makes sense. LOL!
Spray the I side of ur 8×8 dish before placing ur parchment paper in.. or tip the pan over, fit parchment tightly over the pan..then flip dish over and paper goes in easier. Hope this helps! Happy Christmas early! 🌲💝

@@FeedingtheByrds only once a year for my spritz Christmas cookies. I had the last one for about 10 years and it cracked where you put the decorative disc.
Hi there I learned from another video I had seen on lining parchment paper is that if you roll it up like a ball or just really just half to wrinkle it and it will lay better or you can cut the corners it will lay better
Maybe just very finely crunch up a few corn flakes and sprinkle them on your butterfinger balls? If you have several dipped chocolates on your candy board, this would make it easier to identify these! Or just a single corn flake might look cute!
