I stumbled across this video while searching 'fishing in South Australia'. Mate your content is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Hearing your excitement and seeing the drone shots, coupled with your choice of music made this video sublime to watch. Well done Tom.
Top Fishing mate massive school of Salmon take it from a very experienced Surf Fisherman I’ve Fished the Surf for 45 years. When hooking up on Fish your retrieve is too fast if you slow it down you will land more Fish and if you have Fish on walk backwards to the sand out of the water and Skull drag the Fish up the beach you will hardly lose a Fish with this method. Regards Laurie From Vic. Tight Lines.
Good to see you back Tom, great video and good to see that you are using the same rod you sold be a few months ago which is what i just used at Coffins Bay for same monsters...cheers
Nice video. And i have a question. Is a 4-9 kg rod good for Australian salmon. I wanna fish the bigger one that are from the 2 kg mark and heavier. And the rod is 7 foot long and has 40 lb braid on it. Would you think that works when they arent too far out?
Yesssss Tommy!! Miss those beach sessions with ya. ❤

Stradic 5000 with a samaki zing III 902SH
What setup where you fishing?
Hey mate, this was a Stradic FK c500 with a samaki Zing Gen III 12-25lb 9ft, for these size fish you could go slightly lighter in the rod if you like
Great session, mate!
Are you using a Samaki 902SH rod?
Thank you mate, spot on brother!
Your camera isn’t picking the fish up in the waves, sadly, but salmon are great fun.😊
