These bikes are so much more fun to watch. So much more rider involved and their abilities in getting the bike down the track. These bikes in my opinion are much more about the rider and bike getting down the track then the ProStock bikes are. Not that ProStock bikes don’t require a riders ability. But it’s more important that once a ProStock bike leaves the line. You tuck and hit your shift points. Where with Chris’s bike you can see he’s got his hands full all the way down the track with that bike he’s on. I would even like to see them with less electronics. Which in turn showcases the riders true ability to get the bike down the track with his skills. Just my opinion…

I agree with you 100% about the bikes being more like its supposed to! It connects with us more being able to go to a dealer and buy a bike that looks like the bikes flying down the track! Love the vid!!!!

@cycledrag Been a motorcycle fanatic since i first began. Evel was my only hero growing up. I'd watch if it was a bicycle. I currently ride a classic FLHPI, my 14th. Hope that helps in any small way. I'll definitely be looking for your next offering and my FATTEST thumb up for your last.
Great video!! Suzuki and kawasaki have always made the Hayabusa and zx 14 special. The fit, finish and graphics are always better than anything else in the showroom. That orange color is awesome! Pro stock bike with the nhra will never change. Goto your local track and see great racing. I goto the " Valley of speed!" Lebanon Valley dragway.

Real street is exactly what chris moore is doing. Not to mention. What is he doing thats so special. Rob at boosted performance in Houston has been building 500+ horsepower streetbike for years. Mind you without a standalone to control everything.

I've ran harley, kaw and Yamaha I've always liked the factory look and small tire, on the kaw I had to run a wider tire for traction it would blow a small tire apart with the power. It's all about the factory apearrance.🇺🇸👍

The Pro Stock bikes seem like a similar concept to the Pro Stock Cars, they provide relativity safe, consistent and close racing compared to Super Street or Street Legal where something like this actual modified stock bike would be, it's obviously a handful even for an well experienced racer. The use of the word "Stock" in racing is a bit goofy like NASCAR being Stock Cars, they were in the past, but things got very dangerous and rules changed them into what they have become today, anything but stock.

Pro stock drag bike has been evolving very slowly for the better part of 40 years I must admit they are very spectacular at this point.... On the motor with the big ass drag slick.... But how about if the class goes back to the grassroots similar to Pro mod run what you brung.... Make them run a spec tire they can either spray nitrous or do turbo or run on the motor That will bring very good grassroots drag racing back

It would be nice to see them go back to using oem bikes... I'm sure it would bring alot of entries to a race.... the downside of it is trying to keep the front tire down during the run... at some point they will want to put wheelie bars on it..

I have a patent for an autonomous optical inclinometer that I designed for Motorola, that can be interfaced to the CPU and its basic function would dither the throttle input based on the attitude of the bike, in milliseconds.

How are these bikes shifted?
Auto/air shifter, you can see the aluminum shifter piston right above his left foot lever. He pushes a button, engine killls spark for a millisecond and the ram is moved down via C02 (small bottle) or air in the swingarm. Pretty basic set up used since the 80’s for drag racing. Simple but effective. I like foot shifting and clutch handing my bikes on track, this is like an auto trans.

Honestly Pro stock drag bike has evolved into something incredibly expensive.... The class needs to actually go back to what the super street bike class is doing right now I can guarantee you the bikes will be faster and quicker and cheaper and more unpredictable actually much better racing

Hey man all of this happened a long time ago as well Rob muzzy was benchmarking the ZX12R Pro stock bike NHRA quickly banned the motorcycle it was a turbo ZX12R Ricky gadsen and a few other riders road the bike... NHRA rules are governed by money and money alone.... Harley-Davidson threw a bunch of money in for Byron Hines to build a one-off spectacular billet motor... In order to make that motor competitive it took many millions of cubic dollars.... The Japanese for valve motors are far superior, this class needs to be super street bike class tire limited wheelbase limited power adders unlimited... Let the modern four valve motors be in this class.. I seen the same stupid shit over 25 years now modern four valve motors should be loaded in this Pro stock class you don't need a 10-in tire on the motor.... Run that Dunlop super street bike tire make these guys develop more horsepower with less tire... Give the class more diversity to make it more exciting

Of course all of the 1000 cc sport bikes built properly with a turbo can run 200 mph or more ZX12 motor built properly with enough turbo can run over 200 mph in the quarter mile a ZX14 built properly with enough turbo will run over 200 mph in a quarter mile any Suzuki Hayabusa ever built properly with enough turbo can run 200 mph in the quarter mile this shit is real simple folks

What he is riding is a pro stock. I lost interest in protocol because of the spaceships they started calling pro stocks. I have more fun watching backwoods no prep bike races, than what pro stock has become.
