    Really digging the riding/tuning videos. I'm curious to see what jets you settle on. I've got 142/42 in my 97 now but haven't tuned at all since I still haven't built my exhaust. Thanks for the exhaust gasket link, I've been meaning to get some.

    Noob exhaust question: How do you run straight pipes without the ‘back pressure rev’ when you roll off the throttle? I hope you know what I mean. I’m not talking about backfiring or lean popping. It sounds great at idle and on the throttle, but when I roll off it sounds like I downshifted way too early. I have a vstar1100 with slip on Vance n Hines, and mine does this if I try to ride it without the baffles. Will rejetting resolve this?

    • @wrothstarkiller
      @wrothstarkiller 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      4 gears is perfectly fine. I ride a 1988 VT 600. It easily picks up and stays at highway speeds with no issues. You can lower the rear sprocket count from stock(44) to 40,41,etc to lower the rpms a little. You can then install stiffer clutch springs so you won't work the clutch but it's no big deal honestly.
