- Here’s a Part 1 to a three part mini series of clips from my perspective of the KANC RUN 21’.
First year of our annual Kanc Chopper Run. Set up and Hosted by my homies Derek, and Travis. Accompanied by many of our friends. we had a good time with this last ride of the season, post DBR 21’. Hope to see everyone who came before and more this coming season along with some more choppers for 22’.
Also thank you for all the support on my short video of me scooting around the block on the chop. I’ll be sure to post more actual rides, actually get the bike in the clip and hopefully get some real voice and commentary in there. Stay tuned for the other two parts!

Those handle bars are just not my cup of tea at all. They look extremely uncomfortable and handling would seem like it would go down the drain even though you appear to handle it perfectly fine.

Remember (or google) back in the 60’s and 70’s when guys were actually riding crazy chopper builds,and not just showing them? You guys are doing it! Awesome. Beautiful scenery too.
A majority of people in the 70’s were riding superior Japanese bikes that became accessible to American markets due to reliability, safety, and comfort. I can’t speak to the 60’s because I haven’t really studied those bikes.
But Not these garbage builds intended to make a statement. I ride 90 total miles a day to work and back. No need to cosplay as a 1%er.

the foot brake controls both at the same time instead of just the rear usually when you dont have the handlebar grip brake

It's not just that stuff either. I ride a TE150 and an XSR900. After a big trail day, I end up whiskey throttling my Yamaha once or twice before I get used to it again because the 150 has absolutely no torque down low and the XSR makes gobs of it. There's one dip in the road I always hit when going out and I have to be like "oh yeah I actually need to some discipline over my wrist to ride this thing" lmao

Those types of Harley riders irritate the piss outta me (not just Harley riders, sport bike guys do it too but not NEARLY to the same extent). My bike will smoke them in every respect (as will so very many others) but I don't go around blowing out everyone's eardrums essentially begging people to *"look at me everyone, LOOK AT ME, I NEED ATTENTION!!"* Yuck, so cringey 🙄

i believe choppers are fairly steady at speed because of the front fork's rake angle. correct me if i'm wrong
@@yoshuavillar The rails could easily catch the front tire and down both go. Confidence and skill will help but there is always a chance. So why chance it?
It is something. That something is "Stupid". I'm okay with the bikes, but no amount of confidence will save you from even a small mistake. You don't take chances with the lives of others.

This video alone made me go out and specifically look for a 95 sportster. And I plan at the end of July to trailer the bike out to Boston and ride the Kanc route. Super excited. If you guys have the again next year I’d love to attend.

Craziest handlebars I've seen. Looks like it makes throttle control and steering a little tougher, might be why he moved the front brake to make things simpler.
How do you manoeuvre at high speeds with that handle?

Ok,i'll be honest.As an owner of three motorcycles(CBR 1000 RR,BMW 1200 GS,KTM EXC 450) i always laughed out to chopper riders but no matter what with fun and respect.But man please tell me,how the hell can you ride safe and comfortable with these handle bars?I mean seems impossible and a little bit rediculus to my eyes :)
