Yes I cried watching this as when this was released I had just lost my grandmother. They dressed the present Margaret in a similar style my beautiful grandmother would have worn (obviously a bit more understated) but this still hit home my Nonie was of a similar age.

What I most loved about this scene was the throwback during the credits to Margaret and her father singing Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered from early season one, the last memory Margaret had of her and her father the night before he passed. Actually I think it was the same night just a few hours earlier. I think the playing of that song made this event even more sad for me.

Which is also why Margaret opted to break with Royal protocol and decided to be cremated- So there would be room for her to be interred with her father.

I am well-aware these times were extremely difficult for humanity. We were JUST after WW2, many people were dead, contries, cities were in ruin, BUT human relations were so much better, more honest, REAL. In some way, people were happier back then, despite all the tragic events in the world. No internet, no smartphones, no modern technology - just people. People with their emotions, dreams, flaws, everything that makes a human human. There's something magical about that. In this video, when the two young girls are standing at the gate, at the beginning of a new era, completely unsure what the future holds, it's magical. Even the birds singing are magical. Between a simpler and a modern world, I'm not so sure I would choose the latter. I would happily live a shorter but meaningful life instead of a longer one with fake people and emotions.

The only thing that could have made a difference for me would have been if Vanessa Kirby made a quick appearance. Still 100/100 for tbis scene

I didn't really watch this scene because I was busy cutting onions that time. I didn't know what happened.

This scene makes me cry many times.. Nothing is more hurtful than losing siblings

I think she had been thinking about Ritz night in her last days because she had missed old days with her sister and old versions of them

    • Why couldn’t Princess Margaret pass away at 91 instead of 71, she could have more time with her sister

Does the person who uploaded this know they miss-spelled Margaret? And yes - I think she wouldn’t have like that.

Agreed, although the poster who referred to her as Margarita, was even worse.

They should have faded into Princess Margaret singing that song with their father then slowly fading into black. In my opinion anyway 💝💝💝💝
