Finally lunching my etsy store today thanks to you, i used your etsy referral link for all your great help.
Thank you Philip! So many prompt gems in this one.
I just stumbled upon your channel and i love your content . Thank you so much for being very genuine and very helpful.
Super video Philip. Covered the whole journey start to finish. I use Leonard so I'll have to try it out.
Thank you so much . your are good teacher Mr.philip. Learned a lot.
you are too kind for showing us how to do this! Thank you
You just inspired me to explore this space on Etsy. Thanks, Philip. You are an amazing teacher and resource. Hope to see your doggie again soon. 🙌🏽
Awesome, thank you Robert :)
Wow! Great video! Way back when I first started following you...I didn't understand any of this, it was all way over my head, lol. But now I have learned so much from you..I can understand what you're doing and explaining. Thank you so much Philip!!
I am glad to hear watching my content has made a difference :)
So much inspiration!!! You are incredible...just joined!
awesome explaining exactly how to do very straight forward easy to follow
Muchas gracias por dedicar tanto tiempo en enseñarnos, se te da bien. Salut i moltes gràcies
Great video as always. Thank you. 😎Have a great weekend. ❤️
Thank you! You too!
@@PhilipAnders Thank you. 🤗
Been trying to get a decent prompt to make some of these but a bit gutted you’ve shared it with everyone else 😂😂.
Super helpful video, thank you!😀
Upscaling has been my stumbling block. The vector conversion is a great solution
Awesome Video of POD,Very Cool and precise exactly described.Lets see if this works for me.
Another great video!
I did the same prompt as you and I got written things on it!
Hello Philip: in your experience is it better to vectorize the image even if it is originally a small image? Thanks again
Really good advices thanks ! Small cities are not always recongnizable Unfortunately
Hi Philip, thanks so much for this video and many more, you have helped me greatly in the last few weeks! I hope you'll be able to help me with one issue, regarding editing listings on printify. Say I have a poster printed on 7 different sizes, do I have to go through the process of adjusting the image for each size for each listing? or is there a way to automate this? Thanks!
Excellent video 👍🏻
Holy crap, I just can't keep up with all your content 😂 Thanks again, will be watching this later 👍
Somebody needs to invent an Ai to help us keep up with Ai content🤣
You're such a good teacher! I followed you through bit by bit. The only issue is Photopea is so slow and freezes on my brand new Asus and using chrome. So, I need to find a better way. Thanks so much Philip!
That is strange, I hope you can get it to work!
Thanks for the content Phillip, wanted to ask have you got a plug-in to ps ? I can’t seem to get SVG files on my iPad Pro so I have moved it to Adobe illustrator. Not too sure on the DPI though. Thanks once again for the content very inspirational 😊
WOW! Thank you very much for making this video demonstration! I was looking to find such a complete videos tutorial about selling wall art on etsy or other platforms. In your video I found very valuable and helpful information in it. It was a complete video guide about wall art. I would like to watch more videos on wallArt prints if you have any to suggest me with links. One question, Can we offer them as Digital Downloads without Printify? Or should we have a Printify account? I mean I want to avoid getting involved with physical products shipping process for the time being, as a beginner in POD. By the way, what is the need of converting your art into Vector in this cases? You are opening them in Photoshop as images, not vectors. After all No printer in the world can prints vectors. All printers convert the graphics into Pixels bitmaps images in order to send them for print, starting from 300 dpi. Right?
One more question, When I create my 1st Etsy shop can I sell several digital products and create Categories, such as Stickers, png cliparts, wall art, etc? Or should I create different shops for each of these categories? Thank you for this amazing Tutorial.
Thanx man, there is just one thing I don't get. Should I do these in CMYK or sRGB?
Thank you as always Philip ! Would you know what would be that style of picture called in the TravelZona store's products?
Is that art deco, retro, or do you know of any 'specific' name to use if a person wanted to create unrelated images but using that style? Thanks heaps for your time Sir! :)
Hi Philip, thank you for this detailed tutoring. I have a question regarding the Photoshop finishing touches. Can I do that on Kittl instead? Or can I add the words (name of places) and the white border directly on Printify?
first follow have 20K and then 40K subscriber great content creator inspiration for me.
What aspect ratio should we use in Midjourney?
And third question!! Is it a digital download??
"Thank you" from India
Great video
Thanks!
1:19, just started watching the video. Is it step by step full video on etsy wall art?
Does it also include how to price and upload the artwork on etsy??
Thanks for the information 😊. This shop uses 220gsm matte paper and they offering framing. Printify only use 175gsm paper. Does this shop use a print on demand company? Their item descriptions say that they print and frame.
Does it need to be vectorized if I've upscaled it already?
Can you please how to connect printify with eBay full tutorial on how to place a order
Is medium style better that verry high?i dont see any difference.
Hi Philip, love your down to earth style and great content. It's been really inspiring and useful. I was just prompting for travel posters so this tutorial comes at a fantastic time and gives me lots more ideas and insights. Thank you!
I've been wondering, does it matter what colour profile I save the files as? I've seen some people say it needs to be CMYK for printing. Also, what do you think makes more sense, selling these as digital downloads or POD prints? I can't seem to decide! And lastly, what I found is that the locations/landmarks don't come out accurate in Midjourney, i.e. they don't look exactly like in real life. I am wondering if this would put people off, or maybe they wouldn't even notice unless it's like a place they know well. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much!
I typically optimise my designs for amazon merch and they request rgb files. cmyk is more accurate in terms of the real life outcome for the colours.
And you are right the results are not always accurate, which might put some people off. But judging from the Ai shop I mentioned at the start, it still seems to work and people in their reviews like the outcome :)
Thanks so much for your reply! Yeah I think it's the vibe which is more important than 100% accuracy. I noticed that Midjourney actually gives a subtle feel to each place and at least for those I've personally visited, it was surprisingly accurate.
How would you deal with variations of sizes of the canvas?
Amazing prints I love it 👍 if someone need help with resizing I can help
In etsy, If the file size goes above 20mb we give dropbox link in pdf. But how it will integrate with printify ? Customers won't have smooth experience. Plz can you explain
Hey, are there any copyrights or trademarks problems with such a landmarks posters? If so where can you check if you can use such a landmark for your art?
I would like to know it too
Hello, I have a problem. I've made an account on Etsy and Printify, I connected them and created my first product on Printify, but I still can't walk past the "Create a listing" on Etsy. I don't want to create listings not connected to Printify. Can I skip it somehow? Thanks.
❤TH-cam Content Creators-🎉This is THE BEST instructional video I have EVER seen on TH-cam PERIOD so please watch and learn!
Wow, thank you!🙏
Hi Philip! Thanks for the great info. When connecting the store. If a customer pays Etsy and it's automatically created through a POD provider. Does Etsy pay the POD provider or do they charge you directly?
You have to pay the POD provider ;)
That store posted over 2K listings in 4 months! I realize there are tools to automate the process but that's a lot.
Yes that's true. It does definitely take work to have a successful Etsy store
@@PhilipAnders please Phillip, Help us to find that automated tool! thank
Not everything is automated. I understand automation is the new trend in town but with a little investment in a VA or two putting in a 3hr shift a day, you can easily pull it off.
you can automate uploads to etsy with flying upload or mydesigns. Mydesigns don't offer wall art yet but it's coming
2k is not many, the problem is on the listing fee on etsy.
I am confused by the poster sizes! I want to sell A3, A4, A5 posters but I don't see these dimensions as an option on Printify. For example, A4 size is 8.3 x 11.7 inches but that isn't an option on Printify?
i wonder, should i create a new etsy shop for this wall art designs and the other shop is only for t-shirts? Great content, always very helpful
I would recommend opening a seperate store yes😉
@@PhilipAnderswhy do you feel opening a new shop is Superior? Could using an existing shop be beneficial to leverage existing reviews and sales for social proof?
Weird...when you print its on cmyk right ? How can keep the same color from midjourney? ...the color gonna change for sure
There is no arrow in the right corner for me
I have a question. So when you vectorized the photo. Then saved it as a JPEG in Photoshop. Does that destroyed the quality when it's time to print? Thank you
not if it's saved at a high enough resolution for the desired product
@@PhilipAnders ok great! Thank you
Hello Man, if the file size goes beyond 20 mb, we share the link of the dropbox. But in this case how does printify integration works. How can we give a smooth ride to the customer?
Try and reduce the file size if you have a vector design, that's way too high
Not all hero's wear capes :)
I don't understand the upload part like when you say we can't use our mac-ups on printify to delete them later what exactly are you saying?
How does TravelZonaArt get the images to look like real locations? Do they reference a royalty free image. I would love a video on that.
I cannot get MJ to reproduce an image in a different style
I tried this and got great images only thing is my images go to the top. No room for text can you help me?
add a frame like the one example I showed in the video ;)
Great video 👍 Does Printify handle returns and refunds, or do you haveto deal with that yourself? 🤔
you do. but if it was their error (like a bad print) they will send a free reprint.
Also you can disable returns on your Etsy shop😉
@RailinX Good to know thanks 😊
@@PhilipAnders lol now there's an idea 😆
@@cquin7315 you can disable but there will still be people asking. Wrong size, changed mind etc. You still have to deal with them yourself :)
Upscaling with Photoshop won't suffice?
Their upscaler isn't very good from my experience
Why use jpg and not higher resolution file types like PNG?
What stylize do you think he's using and what stylize would you recommend?
typically just the default which is 100
@@PhilipAnders thanks phillip. I have one more question. I enjoy the style you did in the video where there is a white frame around the design and the text is placed above the design. I've noticed though that it can work well and stay consistent through the different size variations only if the aspect ratio is the same as the posters aspect ratio. How can we keep a consistent product across all the different variations? I'm assuming we would have to separately design for each aspect ratio. With an aspect ratio of 5:7 or 2:3 it looks great for 12×18 - 24×36 but when it comes to say the 5×7 or 20x20 it completely changed the aesthetic of the design, in this case the white framed style you did in the video where there is a frame around the design and it's not a full graphic, the sides may be uneven or cutoff. I'd like to achieve a consistent product experience.
@@PhilipAnders zonaart has every single gelato size that they offer, I'm assuming his design looks completely different across the multiple variations he has.
@@shot9x518 That is impossible without skewing the design. It just comes with the territory. Note in your description that the image will vary as per crop according to the various aspect ratios. Look to see how other shops handle it as it is a common situation.
Printify is charging now??? No freebies
Hi, we all know sales are related to how much you put on advertising everywhere where its possible.. I'm doing similar prints as one of the categories and sale is almost on level zero and shop is open 2-3 months earlier than this one which you show on video. so all the time i'm wondering how much shop like that puts on ads - even that one thru etsy.
Well because its not as simple as it was explained in the video. This is not one guy running this shop it's a mid-sized company and they have a monopoly on Etsy in this niche of travel posters. They have more than 10 stores selling identical art and to my knowledge 2 of those stores are testing grounds for SEO and other E-commerce optimization. I work for a company and we do exactly the same just in a different niche. To be honest, you guys have a better chance of playing in the NBA than competing with companies this big and resourceful. I tried doing exactly the same as mentioned in the video and I barely passed 100 sales in my first month, and then a company reached out, offered me a job and showed me that individuals kinda have no place on Etsy unless it's a super deep niche like religious posters or something of that tune. Not to say that the video was bad or he was lying because 70% of the process he nailed down really accurately, but he never mentioned that your competition is going to be companies who make over 100k+ a month in profit from this and they will never give this position up on the food chain.
@@thomaslaukaitis2862 thank you for the valuable explanation of the real things behind the curtains. What do you think those companies do differently from the process explained in the video? I mean if we imagine a motivated and dedicated individual, who is on a mission and let's say creates 10-20 posters daily, works full time, and submits to an Etsy shop. Would not such a person get a stable income from Etsy sooner or later despite competition?
Off topic, weird when I looked at that same provider rating in Printfy, my says 8.4, yet yours said 9.1..Interesting, surely your content is not old and surely the provider did not drop 0.7 in a few days...weird. On topic, fantastic content. keep it going. I have other questions but I will add it in the discord
This video took a while to edit so the screen recording is about 1,5 weeks old
How do you get six images to be created separately on midjourney?
Doh. I get it now, sorry.
I can't seem to open the SVG file in Photoshop CS6. Anyone else having this issue?
I don't understand why turn it into vector if later on you use Photoshop to add text and then save as raster (JPG) image. I thought the idea of turning it into vector was for print. So why not download image as vector when using photoshop?
I explained this at the end of todays upload. It does seem pointless but it makes sense for upscaling quality reasons
@@PhilipAnders Thank your reply. There was one other area that confused me. You said in your video
"Now one thing to note here is you can't upload the mock-up directly to printify you will have to add it to your listing once it's been published to Etsy and then you can just delete some of the old printify mockups which you don't want to keep"
I think why the above confused me or I didn't understand is because you did not show a video on how this is done. For us newbies who never used etsy or printify it is hard to understand when explained with words. A video plus your words on how you do the above would have been best.
I know the guy who’s website you’ve shown 😂
Why dont you use Photoshop as a upscaler?
the results are terrible in comparison
Thanks for your response, i am testing upscayl right now.
@@PhilipAnders
sadly vectorizer AI is no longer free :D
need usa etsy account
So I can’t sell any superhero art? Just checking.
no you can't use movie / tv characters
Yes, the store is doing well at the moment, but there are weak points:
1. Every single design looks the same: In real life, you can't just use the same color for Amsterdam and New Delhi.
2. The design is too simplistic and soon the store would be covered with the same midjourney design, the same colors and the same niches of other stores. They're obviously aware of this and that is why they're pushing it so hard.
3. The pictures aren't accurate. For the well-known places like the Colosseum or the Taj Mahal, it's fine. But if you look at the solutions for Split or Trogir (cities in Croatia), the design just doesn't match reality and you can't recognize the cities on the posters.
4. Finally, good design takes time. Compare their posters with those of P.L.M.. There is no quick fix for anything, and if you want to build a good store in the niche, it takes time. 😊
Hater. 🤣
