Hello Phillip. I want to express my gratitude for everything I've learned from you through this Channel. I can't imagine what I would do without your informative and invaluable videos. Today marks 20 days since I became a member of your channel, and I intend to remain one indefinitely because I believe it is one of the most informative and useful resources available for POD. Having said that, I would like to share my opinion that this particular video lacks the crucial aspect of how to place images on these mockups and make them appear realistic. As you know, fabric has curves and wrinkles, and with this type of mockup generated by Midjourney, the results are not always convincing in terms of realism. The example provided in this video does not serve us well for placing images on t-shirts, as it does not look realistic. Consequently, we have to continue searching for mockups with smart objects for Photoshop. When it comes to framed wall art or posters, it is easier to work with Canva, but even for selling in canvas format, these mockups are not suitable. I have also had to search for smart object options in that regard. I would greatly appreciate if you could create a video tutorial on how to place designs on these mockups and achieve realistic results, including the process of transforming them into smart objects.Thank you,
Hi Joe, thank you very much for becoming a member and your kind comment + feedback! You are right this video definitely lacks the realistic application of designs, which I am currently researching myself. I have never had to do it myself so it's a new skill I need to learn first, but I plan to make a follow up video in the future :)

What if we want a particular printify mock up for example Bella and Canvas mock , mock ups are only useful if they are actually the product we are selling right ?
Amazing. Just solved a massive problem for me. Now I can create my designs with Affinity Photo using the generated images from Midjourney. Thank you as always.
Philip, I have made some wonderful mock-ups with Midjourney, however some of them have objects in front of the canvas. How do you recommend dealing with that problem? I am not familiar with photo-editing software, but is it an easy job in a free program like Photopea to remove the object, and then replace it back in the image after placing the image? Come to think of it, could you do a short tutorial on how to use Photopea to place Midjourney images into mockups, including how tp place small objects in front of the image?
Super duper timely and amazing video. The prompts are amazing. 🙌🏽 Next step: How to use these MJ mocks but also use the new Mock tool to put our designs on the MJ generated mocks all within MJ or outside it. 🙏🏽🙌🏽 You da man!
Putting your prompts in Leonardo AI gives vastly different results. 1st prompt, I get this amazing High Fashion cartoon fashion shoot look with. diverse group of men and women wearing all white clothing including white boots, and the 2nd one is a very stylised room mockup with clothes hanging and furniture with some very nice use of light and shadows.
Hi Very helpful guide, but I have a question. In the process of creating mockups for T-shirts, how could I modify the prompt to generate a mockup specifically depicting the Bella+Canvas+3001 type? I'm only interested in that type. It would be nice to know. Regards.
Great video. my question is: How do you then place the image of the t-shirt design on the mockups. Is there any way to do it with midjourney or some other program?
Hello, I have a question that I truly hope you can answer. I read the ETSY seller's manual regarding product images, but it's not explicitly explained whether AI-generated mockups can be used. My idea is to create a real one with an image taken from Printify with "reference model" written on it, along with the color chart with real models. In the product description, I would specify that the model images are for representation purposes only and for the exact model, reference should be made to the "reference model" and the color chart to ensure customers are well-informed. Do I risk store closure with these conditions? Thank you, Daniele. The fact that there are so many stores using AI mockups doesn't reassure me. Thanks in advance, Daniele
Hi Philip, Is it possible to replace exactly as in reference image. I need to change the outfit of a Midjourney generated fashion model with real dress as reference. Thanks in advance.
But how do i get the image on the t shirt when the graphics should all around it? A simple image on the front is easy but how i do it with endless patterns. Or on a scarf? A Scarf has always a complete graphic all around it. This still helps me a lot for Posters and so on! Keep up the good work!
So how can we be sure that the color of the shirts match the outcome of the product that the customer will receive? I imagine this could hurt sells if it is way off. I notice that colors like navy and others come out different many times. Most not by much but I just want to be sure. This is also a problem I find when using PlaceIt as well.
@philipanders great prompt, but most of the images generated for me have some sort of design on the shirts and aren't blank. How do I get MJ to generate blank shirts?
I will be creating 1800+ t shirt mockups using Midjourney, then increasing the quality and resolution with Topaz Gigapixel. I'm then going to bulk upload them to my Etsy store. The only time-consuming thing is creating and downloading all the images from MidJourney one by one. Is there a better, faster more efficient method to do this?
HI! Thank you for this video, so incredibly useful! qq - have you had any issues with the mockup not having the exact fit the real t-shirt has? I'm concerned the mock up might not fully represent how each specific t-shirt brand/model actually fits the person (for example - the fit of the neck sometimes looks too lose). Just wondering what your thoughts are :) Thank you!
Good point! It won't be 100% accurate you're right. I don't see that being a massive problem in listings though. But if you want 100%accurate fit, neck seams etc in the mockup, Ai may not be the best option

Hello, I'm looking for a way to use MJ to make a mockup of a t-shirt with a design I already have. Does anyone know how I should write the prompt? Thank you!!
Nice content as always. Thanks! Would it be interesting to create a new Etsy shop from scratch and solely sell mock-ups like this? I'm thinking of having around 100 listings. Do you think it will work, or is it too simple and obvious?
First great vid ; by the way I am still stuck in tier 10 would be greatful if I can share some of my designs and you do a video about our designs critics
Hi Philip, i got a suggestion for you It would be a great additive to your videos if you show your dashboard and daily sales on starting every relevant video, people loves to see that, thanks
I was trying to play around with hex color codes like #FFFFFF but it cant figure that out So instead of saying Beige T shirt, you would say #FFFBF0 t-shirt. Anybody have any luck doing that.
This did not work for me. I tried modifying the prompt, but no luck. Not only were the models super big chested, with lots of shadows, dips, and movement that wouldn't work for flat mockup images (I then asked flat chested tween girls, but still got BOOBS!!!)... And it would not include the woman's torso, but kept cutting her off right under her chest. Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you.

Such a useful tool for creating mockups! Question: what if you want to use a specific garment in the mockup?
Thank you so much! Love this video. How you can prompt for a women with hoodie without the strings? I try different ways but no luck.
Great video. my question is: How do you then place the image of the t-shirt design on the mockups. Is there any way to do it with midjourney or some other program?
Thank you, so cool
Amazing video, very helpful. could you please make note of how to avoid the hoodie strings getting in the way of the design location!?
This is a very good method. I have a problem, how do I get the models to stand with their backs to the camera?

Did you find a solution?
@@barbra429 No unfortunately. I'm trying to use AI-generated mockups as little as possible
@danielerogazzo4540 Thanks. I actually like them. The real model mockups for sale on Etsy look so outdated, and the quality is bad.
What if you want the t-shirt a specific color, for example a particular blue from a manufacturer, where color accuracy is important.
Thanks! I went to mockups on Etsy, nope, not a diverse set of models so I had to go make my own. Thanks!
Glad I could help!

I want to ask a question
Is there a mockup for stickers ??
i'm creating one right now :) stay tuned

wow, so cool, thank you very much!!!
You're very welcome!
Great video!!! Thank you. Is there a way to indicate the exact color of the clothing? So as to represent manufacturers colors?
I don't think so, you can try hex codes but I don't think midjourney accurately follows them. Image references are worth a try too
So how can we be sure that the color of the shirts match the outcome of the product that the customer will receive? I imagine this could hurt sells if it is way off. I notice that colors like navy and others come out different many times. Most not by much but I just want to be sure. This is also a problem I find when using PlaceIt as well.
hi, what prompt would u use to take a torso shot of a model wearing a tshirt? neck down shot, so the focus is the tshirt and not the model?
Thank you,Philip.
Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to add my own design into a predefined mockup with midjourney or another tool?
@philipanders great prompt, but most of the images generated for me have some sort of design on the shirts and aren't blank. How do I get MJ to generate blank shirts?
try adding --no text, graphic etc to try and exclude that. Also add plain to all the instances of the product like "plain white tshirt"
Upscale the image in MJ, then click on Vary Region. Highlight the text and adjust the prompt. Works most of the time.
Is it possible to use midjourney to generate a mockup using my product? I need to generate images of models wearing clothes from my factory.
And to erase any logos AI puts on them. At 0. 20 cents per listing, that's like a few dollars

Hi, how would you put your designs on this mock up in photoshop?
I only know some very basic ways to do this as of now. Will look into it further and make a video in future
Yes, pretty much any design program.
Is AI able to match clothing style to let’s say Bella+Canvas 3001? Or is it kind of random?
I doubt it'll be accurate even when including the product names in the prompt
