Shooting Extreme Long Range at Spearpoint Ranch 1565 to 2913 yards with my 416 Stroker May 2023

- Best draw of my life, being second shooter of the day. How will it play out for me when the conditions are favorable for once? This match started with cold bore at 1565 then T1 was at 1666 yards. Target 2 was 1860 yards, T3 1943, T4 2073, T5 2203 and and the far plate was 2913 yards. This rifle is a custom built 416 Stroker, its a wildcat of the 408 Cheytac parent case. With about 144 grains of powder, I launch a 500 grain Cutting Edge Lazer at just over 2900 feet per second.
The rifle is built on a Pierce 10X lefty action, Bartlein 38" barrel, Manners Composite Stocks LRT carbon fiber, Terminator T5 muzzle brake, Triggertech Diamond 2 stage trigger and an Accu-Tac WB4 bipod. The glass is Nightforce Atacr 7-35 with the mil-c reticle. It was built by Sterling Precision in Missouri.

This is actually a 416 Stroker
Realise that you are now shooting the 416, but was happy to see that shooters Gilbert and Bryan were in the mix amongst all the 416 and 460 calibers. Very happy with my 375CT and have plenty of CE400gn in the cupboard still.

You dont use an ejector? Is there a hole in the bolt face to check pressure signs?
Yeah there’s 2 holes for ejectors. I don’t run them because I don’t want my brass flinging out and getting dinged on the pavement. I typically go off bolt lift to determine pressure. With this load there’s none at all, I’m 50 feet slower than everyone else with the same cartridge and bullet.
