If I use the gray card method, would I need to set up the zebras at other values if I overexpose 1.7+? I usually set the camera to 1.7 for slog but was wondering about the zebra settings when using a gray card. Thanks.
If you use the grey card method you can focus on the zebras and the exposure metre can give you an idea of the overall scene. The grey card method is more accurate. +1.7 is good generally.
What is your favourite tool to use to expose for log footage? 🤔
When outside set custom zebras to lower limit 94+ and you’re good to go. It won’t clip highlights
When outdoors are you still using zebras set at 41?
If I have a grey card yes. If not, I'll try to expose for skin tones.
