Thank you! I had stiff lower back for a couple of weeks and I tried these exercises. It worked immediately and was able to hold my toes streching. It's amazing. Thanx again!
@@DrRowe I got this stiff back after working out my back muscles. The only difference was that I did streching exercises longer than usual and with higher intensity than usual before the work out. Could that be the reason?
This is exactly what I needed, and after having lower back problems for a few years now, I think i found the solution. Thank you so much. A quick question aswell, how many times a day can I do the bridging exercise? I started out doing around 20-30 second holds for 5 times. Once again thank you!
I followed the routines as you were doing them, and I can say I truly felt relief at my lower back, hips, and waist. I've had stiffness and pain around there for some time. Thank you so much for these easy steps! I'm definitely adding them to my stretch routine after workout.
What I really like about your videos is that you have the same kind of posture as me, and seem to also benefit yourself from doing the excersises. I always hate it when a totally fit and flexible person is explaining stuff for beginners while performing a split. Your videos are much more real life examples! Thank you!
I had 2 surgeries in my lower back. I still had a nagging pain in my lower back and radiating to my hips. All stiff and painful. Have tried all kind of exercises for years but the nagging pain was still there. I started spinning classes 2x per week and this helped me to get rid of the pain. It took the spasm away. It’s worth trying.
This is very true. Does the spasm return right after you've stopped cycling or does cycling sort of help the spasm on the long run? I've found a lot of releif from cycling and even doing lunges, however i feel like I go back to square one after maybe a week off excercis, were things the same with you?
Thank you for this! I had awful back pain caused by anterior pelvic tilt, and was stretching and stretching my hips flexors to no avail. Turns out the problem was a tight back pulling on the pelvis from behind. After releasing muscle knots, the pain significantly went down and my pelvic tilt range of motion improved. Thanks again!
Great stretches that work. I’m a massage therapist and my low back gives me all kinds of grief when I forget to use good body mechanics. These are going to be my go to for myself as well as recommendations for my clients! Thank you!
Wow, in all my years of going to Chiropractors (I’ve retired two in my area in 72 years, starting at age 12 from football injury) I’ve never gotten this much information for a bad lower back. I am now subscribed and if you practiced in my area you would be my Chiropractor. Thank you Sir
I'm 59 and in fair shape. I was really surprised how tight my lower back and legs were once I tried this. I did see my lower back loosen up some. I will be returning to this video daily. Thanks for posting.

I have kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis. There's a lot of tightness and knots, there's always pain somewhere. Your videos have been a lifesaver for me! The stiffness is noticably reduced and the pain takes longer to happen and when it does it's much less intense and much more easily controlled. My fiance has even commented saying it looks like I'm able to stand a bit straighter :) And it's hilarious when I do these things on the bed and he can feel/hear the pops and freaks out XD
The day before I am due to head off for nearly 500 miles on the bike across the Pyrenees, I had a sharp pain in my lower back this morning. I've never had this before and was obviously concerned - my wife suggested I google exercises, so I did and find this video. Wow, am I glad I did! I've done the exercises twice today and I am feeling the benefit - I plan to include in my regime for the next week and I when I'm back home. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this video. I can’t believe the relief I’ve felt after doing these stretches and exercises just one time. Breathing controlled and slow into each repetition is slowly releasing the tightness. I’m so grateful.

I expected It will take much longer (2-3 months) to be honest, but It feels amazing and I'm really thankful for this video! During the first week, I found out I also have sciatica pain, also almost gone by doing appropriate exercises. The entire session lasts for about 45-50 minutes, so You need patience and dedication, but It's worth It! Thank You again Sir, will keep training!

Thanks for posting this. While I live ~2000 miles from Michigan, and don't have lower back issues, it's good to learn of preventative measures. Over many years, I certainly notice less flexibility. At a minimum, these exercises should partially atone for the skeletal and muscle changes that are a part of aging.

My lower back is always very tight. I tried your stretches/exercises. Some are similar to stretched/exercises recommended by my doctor, but you introduced me a couple of new exercises. I feel much better right now. I will continue with this routine. Thank you
Great to hear! Give us an update in the near future.
I work from home and i spent hours in sitting giving me a lot of discomfort in my lower back. Thank you so much Dr. Rowe your videos are a lifesaver.

6 spinal injections over the years and injury to my back at 31 years old - I am in a lot of pain but these truly did help me as I did them along with you. Thank you for your shared knowledge!!
Great to hear the exercises are helping, and thanks for watching!
You truly are so helpful. I carry all my stress throughout my shoulders down to my lower back. It has really been bad this past weekend. I’ve been doing several of your stretches and exercises for all upper and lower parts of my back. I would not know what I would’ve done without your help, as I was in a fair amount of pain. Thank you so much.

Thank you! I had stiff lower back for a couple of weeks and I tried these exercises. It worked immediately and was able to hold my toes streching. It's amazing. Thanx again!
Glad to hear the exercises are helping, and thanks for watching!
@@DrRowe I got this stiff back after working out my back muscles. The only difference was that I did streching exercises longer than usual and with higher intensity than usual before the work out. Could that be the reason?
God bless you sir. Im a physiotherapist and some of these were new to me. The second to last stretch is amazing for a tight QL
It's a great one! Thanks for watching.
This is exactly what I needed, and after having lower back problems for a few years now, I think i found the solution. Thank you so much. A quick question aswell, how many times a day can I do the bridging exercise? I started out doing around 20-30 second holds for 5 times. Once again thank you!
Once daily works fine. Thanks for watching!
I followed the routines as you were doing them, and I can say I truly felt relief at my lower back, hips, and waist. I've had stiffness and pain around there for some time. Thank you so much for these easy steps! I'm definitely adding them to my stretch routine after workout.
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and thanks so much for watching!
Best tutorial I’ve seen to date on this topic. I have extreme tightness in my lower back and hips, I’m excited to work on these exercises. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff, I’ve been to doctors for six months and I’ve been stretching as directed this had great results thank you
Glad to hear you're getting results, and thanks so much for watching!
I’m 22 with crazy lower back pain the racket ball method really helped me out thank you!!
Glad to hear the racquetball is helping. I call it the 'one dollar muscle fix' for good reason! Thanks so much for watching.
I’m 21 with crazy pain we’re in the same boat haha
Loved it. Working 11p-7a in hospital on Covid unit... back really hurts. This gave me a ton of relief and lots of burbs
Great to hear, and stay safe (we appreciate what you're doing!)
Glad it help! Thank You for Your Service🎉🎉
Hope you can dismantle this Covid propaganda from media
Thanks for your hard work and dedication. 🥰
Why so many dislikes ? This was awesome for pain relief ,great exercises & simple explanations
Must be 30 sec part ?
Thank You Dr. 🙏
Can't make everyone happy 🤷. Thanks for watching!
It's not bad for how many views the video has. Only .04%. A lot could just be people accidentally hitting the wrong button
I have been doing these exercises before riding my horse and it is definitely improving my back mobility. Thank you!!
Glad to hear that, and thanks for watching!
What I really like about your videos is that you have the same kind of posture as me, and seem to also benefit yourself from doing the excersises. I always hate it when a totally fit and flexible person is explaining stuff for beginners while performing a split. Your videos are much more real life examples! Thank you!
Keep the exercises simple and effective, and thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for some great tips. My lower back is ongoing maintenance after years of poor lifting techniques in my youth .
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and give us an update soon!
It’s very helpful at home without going to the hospital
I had 2 surgeries in my lower back. I still had a nagging pain in my lower back and radiating to my hips. All stiff and painful.
Have tried all kind of exercises for years but the nagging pain was still there. I started spinning classes 2x per week and this helped me to get rid of the pain. It took the spasm away. It’s worth trying.
I’ll try it. Sounds like a good idea 💡 indoor cycling 🚴♂️
love this. cycling has saved my low back
This is very true.
Thanks!
THANK YOU so much for supporting the channel, I greatly appreciate it! - Dr. Rowe -
Great stretches that work. I’m a massage therapist and my low back gives me all kinds of grief when I forget to use good body mechanics. These are going to be my go to for myself as well as recommendations for my clients! Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing, we really appreciate it!
I have had back pain for years on and off but this video helped within minutes!!
GREAT to hear that, and thanks so much for watching!
Wow, in all my years of going to Chiropractors (I’ve retired two in my area in 72 years, starting at age 12 from football injury) I’ve never gotten this much information for a bad lower back. I am now subscribed and if you practiced in my area you would be my Chiropractor. Thank you Sir
Thanks for the sub, and I hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
I'm 59 and in fair shape. I was really surprised how tight my lower back and legs were once I tried this. I did see my lower back loosen up some. I will be returning to this video daily. Thanks for posting.
This is the first TH-cam video that has given me consistent relief. I think it's primary the racquetball exercise, that exercise is gold. Thanks so much for this!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching too.
That ball exercise really works, my doc recommended it
Lower back pain is gone after doing the exercise with you. Bravo❤️
GREAT to hear the pain is gone, and thanks for watching!
"Mahalo" (Thank you) for your "kokua" (sharing) your "manao" (wisdom or expertise) Dr. Rowe. Merry Christmas.
Thank you, and you too!
I had to come on and thank you for posting this video. I did something to my lower back yesterday and have been in agony: couldn't sit, stand or sleep. My partner came across your video and I did the exercise with the ball once - now I can move without screaming out in pain. Can't thank you enough!
These are great exercises. Some of them I already knew but it's a matter of doing them and I definitely going to try these again. Suffered from lower back and tailbone pain for almost 30 years off and on and sitting all day at work need to release the compression in my hips and pelvic. Thank you for the tips!
Happy to help, and I hope these exercises help for a long time to come!
Thank you Dr. Rowe. Your videos have helped me tremendously! I love how you explain each of the exercises too. You're the best,!
Happy to help, and thanks so much for watching and I hope the exercises make a big difference for a long time to come!
That's GREAT to hear, keep up with the exercises! Thanks for watching too.
You’re saving my lower back issues. Thank you so much !
Happy to help! Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this video. I can’t believe the relief I’ve felt after doing these stretches and exercises just one time. Breathing controlled and slow into each repetition is slowly releasing the tightness. I’m so grateful.
Glad you found the video and are getting relief, and thanks for watching!
Thank you so much man this really helped me and my back. Been dealing with this for a year, never found a video that helped until I found yours on recommended
Glad you found the video and are getting relief. Thanks for watching!
I just tried these and I must say this is the first sign of relief I've ever felt!! I'm really impressed!!!
Glad you're getting relief!
I woke up recently with bad back pain and I couldn't bend over to tie my shoes which is usually not a problem. These exercises helped relieve the tension right away. Still have some work to do, but I'm glad i found this video.
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and please give us an update soon!
I’m definitely going to try these, I’ve suffered from a locked up back for two months now. Thank you!
Hope the exercises help, give us an update soon!
well i just tried the first exercise x the one with the ball under my back muscles , i also used it under my gluteal area, believe me i was relieved of the spasm under 10 minutes and what a feeling it was after that . thank you very much . infact i didnt try the rest at all
That's a great exercise, and I'm glad it gave you quick results. Thanks for watching too!
I've been having back pain for years now. 3am yesterday I found this after not being able to sleep due to tightness. This is the only video i've ever found that has had a drastic short-term effect. I'm now going to use this every single night to see if it fixes things. Thank you so much :)
I’ve been out of physical therapy for many months since a 6 hour tumor surgery at T12/L1 (July 2019) so very recently I have been just *thinking* (but not doing anything!) about exercises to loosen my lumbar spine, which has arthritis & spondylolisthesis. Your video was near the top of my feed this morning, so I‘ve taken that as a sign! I will be trying these techniques starting today & through the winter months as they certainly will give me relief of tightness & pain. Thank you for your clear explanations. I just have to remember to breathe while doing them!
Just a p.s. - I used to live in St. Joseph a long time ago (Gard Ave.). Small world!
Small world indeed! Give us an update in the near future, thanks for watching!
Thank you for taking the time to show us every step..2 bulging disc's L4, L5 numbness rt thigh very painful
Hello, 24 y/o with back pain and Anterior pelvic tilt, struggling for half year because of bad posture and office job. After the first session back pain reduced by 30'ish %. Feels like heaven.
I will try to give updates on this comment, to let people know the improvements. Also for motivation hahaha
Glad the exercises are helping you, and keep at it!
Training every single day, doing all the exercises, lower back pain is almost gone.
@@FMzoneLoL thanks for the update, and keep at it!

So far, this video has been the best therapy for my lower back pain relief. Well done. You look like you’re in pretty good shape as well. Thumbs up.

Thank you thank you thank you for the video. I've had back pains most of my adult life and this really helps.
Glad you found this video and the exercises are helping, thanks for watching!
After doing deadlifts, My back was aching terribly. I couldn't sit up straight nor bend down to remove my shoes. Three days later I came across this video. After doing the exercises here, the pains and tightness were all gone. Thank you 🙏
Superb exercises for instant relief and building muscle strength. Quick suggestion- it’s better to group all lying down exercises together. Since I was planning to follow along it was difficult to switch from lying to baby pose and again lying down.
Thanks so much for watching!
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and thanks so much for watching!
Had to take time off work last week due to putting my back out after a sneeze lol, my lower muscles were extremely tight and painful but today I saw your video, tried the techniques and within a minute my back feels relaxed and supple, THANKYOU very much from the UK 👍😁
Thanks so much for watching!
I've been having sharp shooting pains in my lower back for weeks now. I have tried all the stretches possible. Was about to go to the doctor today because I thought I had developed scoliosis. The racket ball trick took most of my pain away just from one day of trying it. You are a lifesaver!!! Thank You Truly
Glad you're getting a lot of relief!
The ball rolling one was really needed the soo much Doc
Great exercise! Hope it helps for a long time to come too.
One of the best videos I’ve seen for lower back pain. 👍🏾
That's wonderful to hear! Thanks so much for watching!
I have had a problem of a painfully stiff back for most of the morning after I wake up for years, sometimes it takes me 10 minutes to get out of bed due to the pain. I am eagerly looking forward to carrying this routine out every day
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
I went and paid to see a chiropractor but this video provided way more relief!!! That first tip with the tennis ball under the back is golden. Really helped, thank you so much!
I’m back! I just returned to tell you that these really worked. I do these now every morning just as preventative care. I’m an attorney, so I’m sitting most days in a chair then I go to exercise. I’m telling you, folks...ever since I tried these stretches and incorporate them in the morning and before my work outs...no problems. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏽
Glad to hear that! Thanks so much for watching too.
Really really good stretch points

These stretching excercises are really very effective. I've been suffering from lower back issues for a long time & doing these really gave me great relief , even though it's temporary. Is it possible to get rid of stiff lower back permenantly?
Yes once the correct muscles are strengthened
