Is the realistic; “a few moments later… nothing happens” for me lol
i swear on my life I got some immediate results from a salicylic acid mask it was so cool
There are a few products u can see immediate results w like some of the clay masks or leave on 1s. 🤌👌✨ it’s like getting my bday present when I find a gud 1
@@salamander6014 which mask
@@Sukriti_12 it was salicylic acid 2% masque from The Ordinary
@@salamander6014 is that mask safe for sensitive skin and this paula choice bha too?
OMG, thanks for the "a few moments later" my husband thinks results happen in a few days, and I keep telling him he needs patience! Love your sense of humor!
omg my sister is the same way lol she expects results after her first time using a new product
Ha! I’m a guy and learned that it does take time and consistency for products to work 😂
I see results with this immediately … like the very next day
BAHGAHHAHAHAHAHAU
I saw my skin become smoother after just 2 days.😊
I can not get over how absolutely BEAUTIFUL AND SMOOTHE your skin is.
Does it remove black heads ?
@@yaraqb7613yes
What else do you expect from a dermatologist 😂
@@yaraqb7613yes it does.
Your husband must be proud
overuse of this product will weaken your skin barrier. weakened skin barrier = more irritated skin = more acne
I agree. You should use it once or twice a week with small amount
That's why you shouldnt use it too often, only as needed.
As they said u should use moisturizer after it
@@siri_igot7 that alone won’t help. the issue is damaged skin barrier at a microscopic level. moisturizer does what it’s named after - provide moisture - but it doesn’t repair the skin barrier unless you are targeting specific ingredients and limiting harsh ingredients and actives
@@CRCC830 Oh thanks for the insight
Ok I get that skincare takes time to work but I swear to god every time I use this I see results the next morning. Not like ‘omg my skin is perfect now’ results but definitely noticeable!!
I completely agree! I wasn’t expecting any visible result until maybe week 3 of using it, but I legitimately woke up the next morning quite impressed as my skin texture already looked better than it had prior.
I think I’m experiencing the same; by at least the third week of my routine, I noticed my face’s pores were way less clogged, especially my nose, which I hasn’t seen so clear in forever
Yes this product is one of those rare ones I find
Ik you’re not supposed to slug when you use a retinol but when I do, my skin looks so great the next morning
Is this good for beginners or is it a bit stronger?
I used to apply it everyday at night didn’t work that great then I stoped for a week and I start to use it every other day so great my acne is almost gone but you need to be patient because a lot of purging will happen during the first 3 month . When I don’t use it I use a magwoort mask to calm my skin
This is the best comment because bro after two weeks I started using it everyday and I wasn’t seeing any difference in my skins all the pimples were there....now I have stop but after reading your comment I will start again but will use it every other day
@@jasleenkaursekhon9855 be patient
@@jasleenkaursekhon9855any update?
@@jasleenkaursekhon9855I've been using it for over a month now and zero results
Did you use any other products like moisturizer after using it? I mean aside from the mask. Thank you in advance!
I tried this product and it’s truly life changing for those who wants to know, like for real smooth your skin!
Paula’s choice products are amazing. Especially this must be one of their best products 👍🏼
How much do you use each time?
I’ve seen improvement, sadly I have ran out. I’m going to get some more.
I promise I’m not flirting, but this doctor has the most amazing eyes! And an ample supply of great information, of course 😊
🤣
I used to use it, and I saw results within 2wks. I love it it got rid of one of my biggest insecurities... my enlarged pores. I highly recommend. ❤
Thanks for bringing awareness to this, had no idea what Salicylic acid was. Cheers
I love Paula’s Choice, and I love this product!
Love Paula's Choice products 👍
I have underneath lumps in my skin that I can feel before they come to surface. I especially have these hard stuff in my skin underneath my eyes, so ofc they make my bags more obvious. Well I have been using the ordinary salicylic acid for one week straight and I can see some improvements. I do prefer PC and Wil rebuy after this one. The O one is too oily for me
Try Peach Slices toner. 10.99 so good.
@@lexijones8019 thank you
Glad to see they improved their packaging
Your skin is GORGEOUS!
This exfoliant saved my face! ❤
I also use 2% Salicylic acid but I use CeraVe brand for my Seborrheic dermatitis! It really seems to help so I will wash with this maybe every 2 or 3 days! When I used Paula's Choice, I was disappointed, it didn't seem to work as well!
This doctor has the most gorgeous fair skin that I've ever seen.
I agree! I also believe that most cultures, including our Western culture, don't expect men to look as attractive as women do!
I use it every day, sometimes twice a day. I've been doubling up bc I have some major sebum congestion on my chin. I've seen overall really good results and get comments on my skin ALL the time. Most people think I'm early 30s too 😁 which makes this 45 yr old lady feel pretty good!
hiii im so glad it works for you
Hey do you use this acid during day or night tym?
@estherfernandez6548 Both...am and pm routines...in my PM routine I'm also using trentinion at .07% strength as well...I have had 3 monthly chemical peels with little peeling with my aesthetician and apparently, I have super tough skin, so I wouldn't do as I do when using PC and other actives. See a derm or skin care professional for your particular case and needs. 🙂
I used this for 6 months and I love it!
Love how realistic you are and it does take patience and continuous usage
yes I have acne and i use only this product with moisturiser and spf. And i use it daily. My acne is gone! My skin is clearer and glowy. I have been using this since 2 years. ❤
I really wish someone would address what skin care to use for women going through menopause. My skin has drastically change. It’s so dry & flaky. Very dull & occasional 1 or 2 breakouts. 😞
Me too, I am tired of rough muddy skin.
Try moisturizing skin products like face cream and sheet masks. Korean beauty products are great for this purpose as the beauty standard there emphasizes clear, healthy skin.
My top suggestion, however, is to invest in a good night cream, so your skin is well-moisturized upon waking up.
@@Human-san The Koreans have VERY HIGH standards for skin care!
This was too strong for me. I felt like it burnt my skin. I enjoyed the REN toner that also exfoliates and it’s more gentle for my skin.
PC has a gentler formula under the CLEAR line, choose the regular strength one. It’s lighter too, so it doesn’t leave you skin feeling sticky! :-)
Doctor!! I have learned so much about basic skin care and changing it up for winter. I don’t have acne, please do more videos of routines for women without acne 🙏🏼💕💕💕
I think Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield have produced videos for normal skin routines!
Doctorly can u give us your thoughts on brands like Walgreens, Walmart, target versions of cerave products?
My favorite bha toner is from axis y, its just 0,5% bha but perfect for me. I can use it everyday, morning and night routine. ❤
I started using vitamin c because I saw a video of a woman who said that she saw results in a week and her skin looked flawless ..
so I Give it a try but I didn't see anything new on my skin until 6 months later..
So we have to paticient with every product we use because we won't see results overnight 😅😅
eating vitamin c is cheaper and also brightens the skin and is cheaper
this man's skin is so nice😭
I think this product works differently on certain people. I Recently Damaged My Skin Barrier, My Whole Face Got Rough & Bumpy Then I Came Across This Product & I Tell You After 1 night of using this product on my face I saw great results the next morning.. I’m now on day 5 and my face getting CLEARER‼️ My Bumps Peeled Fast They are Flat & Now I Only Have A Few Scars To Get Rid Of 😊 LaRoche-Posay , Paula’s Choice BHA 2% & CeRaVe Works PERFECT Together‼️ Thank You DR 👨⚕️
It took me a year plus to realise the PC SA 2% does work on controlling my sabecous filaments... patience is key in skincare.
How often did you use it a week, and how long do you wait before applying moisturizer
acids are so good for our skin ... ❤️ happy to see you use this product too - I just bought it and never heard of this line prior 😉
Cerave SA cream makes my skin look so smooth over night!
I have had such great luck in changing my texture with Peach Slices toner, Naturium BHA and the biggest thing that has changed my texture is Pacifica 25% peeling solution. It’s so underrated. Haven’t had the need to try Paula’s and it isn’t FA safe so I haven’t.
Bought this because of you. Can't wait ❤
Good info and a cute bracelet
i have this!! i definitely recommend this but i use exfoliating pads when i'm using my paula's choice!! 10/10 product and very effective
I’m using this at nightime, paula’s toner first, the exfoliating toner followed by retinol. And at the morning toner and vitc serum! It works for 2 weeks, it lessen my blemishes, pimples and dark spot! I swear!!!! Just used it consistently and you will see good result!
Lemme tell you I swear by Paula’s Choice I saw an instant improvement in my skin and once I learned how to apply my products correctly in the right order my skin has done a 180. My skin is everything I’ve suffered from severe acne since age 6 due to stressful home life. I used to get face scrapings and I did accutane and nothing really worked once I gave birth my skin literally blew up. Paula’s choice has saved my confidence and skin
If you don't mind, what products exactly do you use?😊 And how often?
❤your videos funny and informative too!!
Glad you always tell us the truth and not be like moments later you will see drastic change ❤
Use peach and slices “Acne Exfoliating Toner” works really well and half price!
love this stuff
Could you please do a routine under $50 for oily skin please I would really appreciate it
My skin glows after a few applications.
Can I do…
1) cleanser
2) toner (rice water)
3) Paula’s choice
4) moisturizer
For the nighttime ?
I love the realistic results instead of acting like a skin product magically did something in seconds 🤣
I’ve been using BHA for a month now, I’m having a breakout at the moment but I can see my acne heals a little faster than before. This process needs a lot of patience to achieve the best result.
I used to be a big fan of PC but didn't like the stinging on my sensitive skin. I switched to Cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid (4% Salicylic Acid). It's half the price, gentle and no stinging.
I use this every morning, but the bottle says you can use this twice a day. Regardless this has helped tremendously with sebaceous filaments which for years I thought were just black heads.
I’ve been using it on a cotton pad….it absorbs some of the product. Think I’ll try your method.👍
Thanks for sharing this information
This product's reaction varies different on every skin type. It suits me very well and I use it regularly at night. My skin is glowing and even sometimes it reflects.
I used to go 2 times a day. Nothing happened to my skin and It worked. But when I started it first I used to get flaky skin. I didn't know at that time that it's purging
@@MyNameisTakenOfficiallyI have been using this one about 2 months ,but Im getting more more ,is it cleaning time?
Could you please review Centella Asiatica products & what not to layer or mix them with aka niacinamide, SA, retinol etc.😊
True, I noticed a difference on my pores and texture
That is so Cran on my skin helps me so good thank you🌸🌸🌸🌸👌👌👌🙏😇
Got one from Amazon. Used it twice. All my white heads are gone and my skin is SOOOO SMOOTH. Use to use a scrub
This is so much better saw difference in 4 days
Thanx I started purging from using a 2% salicylic acid cleanser day and night for 4x days straight so I slowed down and want to use it 2x a week
Salicylic acid cleanser is typically much more gentle than the leave-on version. You can use it once a day if your skin is fine with it, or once every other day if your skin hasn't adjusted to it.
@@whitepaper5241 I have sensitive skin and the CeraVe SA Cleanser that has less than 2% wrecked my skin, even though I didn’t use it daily. Cleansers are more gentle, but 2% is a lot, so I definitely wouldn’t use it more than twice a week, unless you have very oily and strong skin.
Glad that he showed us to use it without all of that cotton pad nonsense 👏🏼
I swear when I use this stuff before I go to bed, my skin is glowing when I wake up....
I need one with that cap!
I love your videos! I Want to know If I use it in the morning, should I start with the paula's choice exfoliant or vitamin c and then sunscreen?
I accidentally used this exfoliant together with a new cleanser, which contained also salicylic acid.I started to break out within a few days. Is it possible to purge when using too much salicylic acid? Or is it just too much for the skin?
I'm using minimalist salicylic acid cleanser since the last 7 days after watching your video on acne I think it's working but I don't know if the product is really that great or na I will see in few weeks ig
I’m wondering how to properly introduce and spread out the use of a retinol, vitamin C serum, Ordinary 5% AHA and the Paula’s choice BHA. Any advice?!
When you use a retinol, don't exfoliate your skin. Retinol already does.
I would never recommend that you introducing all those actives at once. Vitamin c in the morning, would only use one acid or a aha/bha toner containing both so I don't have to navigate two different toners. Use once a week, next week twice up to 3 times a week. Retinol also start once a week and go up when introducing stop using acids until your face is used to it and then reintroduce one acid once a week or maybe even only every 10 days.
It all comes down to skin type, I'm dry in winter and combination skin in summer and could never use retinol and acids daily. I do retinol 3-5 times a week and aha/bha toner every 7-10 days.
Hope that helps
They have a video on skin cycling. It’ll teach you how to incorporate multiple actives without burning your skin
So helpful ! I just bought it , figured I wasn't using it right
I used it a few minutes ago, I need to be consistent with it so I can see results ❤
I use The Ordinary one it’s way cheaper & just as effective.
Yeah that’s fine too
Is gel from the La Roche Posay is as effective, it contains 2% of salicylic acid too
Do u wash It off After? Before putting mosturizer
can you do a video on how to get rid or blackheads and how to get rid of acne scars thank you!
The best product I use in my skincare routine.
Hey do you recommend this routine?
Cera Ve foaming face wash (for oily)
Paula’s choice BHA exfoliant
COSRX 96 snail serum
Cera Ve moisturizer
Ordinary lash serum
And then since I have oily acne I like to use the neutrogina on the spot acne treatment
Then if I have a major breakout hero patches
Lots of good wishes from India. I am following your videos for quite a long time. But the products which you mention aren't available in my country. If you could please research some Indian brands and their products like minimalist, the derma co, etc then that would be really helpful.
@Zuha Shaheen try deconstruct pore cleansing serum
Very good product!
It is a really effective product ❤
Why does this always make my skin look AWFUL? 😢 It irritates the hell out of my skin! Everything calms back down when I stop using it. And the other one from PC (the Clear ones) don’t seem to do anything at all… It’s like putting water on my face..
What do you think about the
Numbuzin no.5 Vitamin moisturizer?
Is it good for oily acne prone skin
Would you recommend it?
What head band are you using I want one !
Your eyes and skin though 🔥

I hope you see this, is Cacay oil safe during pregnancy? I know it’s rich in Vitamin A so I’m not sure if it’s okay to use for my belly and face.
I suffer from severe premenstrual syndrome and the acne started to kill my face, swelling and getting really painful pimps...thx progestin control birth pill and cerave with salicylic acid saved my face
I'd like to make sure about two things prior using mine. Please help!!
1) Is it supposed to smell like tint? As if you're smelling a paper marker or close?
2) Is it supposed to leave a sticky shiny layer, even after "drying"?
Thanks in advance for the help 💜💜
YASSSS I USE THIS PRODUCT!!! ITS A SOLID 10/10!!! After 1 week you can see so much improvement 😌😌😌✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️
i also have it but mine has a strange lightly sticky consistense and also smells like oil or something?! Is it right? I somehow do not feel comfortable using it because i am not sure if its ok…🫤
Hey guys, I'm newbie here and love our videos. Cn I still exfoliate regularly if using Tret?
Thanks ❤
Hi Doc, what would you recommend for adult chicken pox scaring? Body and face ☺️
For pox scarring use coconut oil I know sometimes it can cause pimples . I used it religiously within month every mark was gone .
I used to almost daily and after a month I say noticeable improvement in the texture of my skin. Once I got to the maintenance stage I added I. The ordinary’s salicylic peeling solution once a week. Since these are the only actives I use it doesn’t overdue it for me.
How do you alternate between the two? I do the same thing and my routine is like this:
I use Paula's choice twice a day but when I am going to use the Ordinary, I give my face a day rest. Hbu
Can you do a video on the acids we’ve got salicylic acid, beta hydroxy acids, alpha hydroxy acids and PHA? which one is good for what? How much do I use? Which ones shouldn’t be mixed I know I know it’s up to your skin care but you know what I mean.
What’s the order of application if you are also using Tretinoid at night. Is it: benzol peroxide wash, salicylic acid, retinoid, moisturizer? And how long do you wait in between?
You don’t use salicylic acid together with a retinoid. Salicylic acid de-activates the Vitamin A in retinol , making it useless to your skin.
thx going to try it
actually weirdly enough somehow for some witchcraft when i started using this product in 2020 i saw results in a week. my skin loved this product immediately and i've never put it down ever since
I use it every night. Sometimes Don't use it at all for 1-2 week
Naturiam has a nice dupe of this. I like it so far after one week.
Naturium and Peach Slices
Me too. Such good formulation I went thru a bottle in two and half weeks. Used every day and night.
Can you do video seeing if Florence by Mills products are good for acne?
Are we using this one everyday? Or once/twice a week as a treatment?😊
I use Neutrogenia Oil Free Acne wash -it has 2% salicylic acid. I am 70, and people think I am 50. I have no wrinkles!
Nice video I only use it one night a week and just put sorbolene cream on after it has soaked in.
This helps me with preventing whiteheads. Im close to 50. I use it once or twice a week as i have sensative skin.
I never know if I need moisturizer with this or those Murad Acne peel so thank you
