    And in a year...2024, right now...when there is plenty of water and snow. This insanity is destructive and needs to stop.

      Western water law is complex and serious business. I don't pretend to know a lot about it but I understand that if you surrender your senior water rights, you can't get them back.

      The western US is running out of water you id10t. Nobody has a great solution, but the government isn’t doing this for laughs, there’s actually a water shortage reason.

    For those saying, “good”, don’t release a sigh of relief yet. These “reporters” told you nothing. The timing of this was quite purposeful, to make sure they had these farmers under duress. What they signed was basically a “lose your farm now, or lose it in small increments over the next few years”. What choice did they have? Now we all know why that water adjudication process we just went through was so “important”. They needed a convenient excuse to do this. The high surface water year just made it more obvious that it doesn’t add up, and it doesn’t (not based on what’s being said here). Dig into it, follow the money. Start with Yanasa TV channel.

    I have wonder if the presence of cobalt in that area and the Dept. of Defense putting money toward the mining of cobalt has anything to do with this water issue.

      The cobalt mine does not use water from the water shed area in question .
      The portion of the Snake river drainage basin getting curtailed ... is before where the Salmon river enters it.
      And I would say the greedy corporate interests involved here ... are probably those of keeping the fast food french fry supply and potato chips flowing. Seeing how those food items are going for a premium these days . And might of been worried about quality being reduced from following the mitigation steps all farmers in the region had agreed to follow a few years ago if aquifer levels were at certain points .
      Yes the Twin Falls water authority and delivery system might be out of date. But under Idaho law , they are the senior water right holder .
      So why did the junior water rights districts choose to ignore their mitigation agreement ???
      I would guess who they supply potatoes to will not accept an inferior crop ?

    It was overreach of government bureaucrats to shut it down in the first place. Govt officials making bad decisions yet again, I’m surprised to see it in Idaho of all places. Glad to see it’s finally lifted for all the great farmers that work so hard to provide food to the people of the United States 🇺🇸

    Good. That was horrible what they were putting the farmers through. And having watered farmland may help to stop the spread of these horrible wild fires. I can remember when we had a wildfire a few miles away in Southern California. We had a shake shingle roof. Dad climbed up there and setup a sprinkler. We had coals from the fire raining down on us. Four people lost their lives from that fire.

    • @steven4315
      @steven4315 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Farming is a tough business. Guaranteed income is a blessing. Solar companies pay $1,000 to $1,500 an acre a year. This gives a farmer steady income not subject to weather and in places (like Idaho) that irrigate, they can use their water allocation elsewhere.

    This was a test of how much overlords can control the people.. they will come back with a better strategy for taking control of the entire area in the near future.. My father as a farmer told me in the early 90s that the next biggest fight in this country was going to be over Water and here we are with the entire western region fighting government over water rights.. It’s going to get real ugly in the west..

    • @Mk101T
      @Mk101T 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep ... Cuz Twin Falls will just put bigger deeper wells in the aquifer to ensure their senior water rights get taken care of ... and to bad so sad for the farmers with their shallow wells in other water districts.
      Seeing how they cannot be trusted to follow mitigation agreements they signed 9 years ago.
      So you are right , that this is about control ... with the junior water rights showing they have no self control .

    This still an administrative decision that is still related to the original order, Any administrative decision that causes greater harm to others based on a senior water right is lacking. The US Supreme Court (SC) just struck down the Chevron doctrine which required the courts to give deference to administrative agencies. The next one was a 2A case that struck down new interpretation of rules which are opposite tradition and history (redefining water rights based on new novel approach). Final case deals with administrative decisions, contested case being heard by an administrative law judge that works for the agency (contested case opinions, civil penalties, takings such as use of your land). SC said that under the 7th amendment (I think) was a violation of a persons right. The individual was entitled to a jury trial. These cases all involved the Executive branch violating the separation of powers clause by creating legal authority (congress) and issuing judgements (US Courts). A parallel exists in most states. The powers in the three branches of government need to be brought back in alignment with the US Constitution and State Constitutions.

      Except Chevron affected federal agencies. This is a state agency concerning western water law.

    WHAT was contained in the "deal" ?? And it was first reported that 500,000 acres would be shut off. Your saying 330,000 acres get a reprieve. So that still leaves 170,000 acres whose farms will have no water and go bankrupt. Idaho is turning BLUE. Our beautiful Idaho is being destroyed.
