Why Idaho has fewer family farms today

The amount of land thàt has been taken out and consumed for housing and roads each year is immense. If farm land is important we should stop using it up for houses and roads.

My son bought a farm and sells eggs and works full time at his day job. He loves the farming industry and wants more land so I’m selling my hunting and fishing property to help him grow and we have a dream to grow the highest quality food in the world and our water supply is very good so if you need water go farm Michigan!

Equipment takes up all the money! It’s too much a Farmer can’t make a living for his family anymore! It’s horrible what has happened to America because of these selfish Millionaires who push the price of things we can’t afford! It’s greed!

It is happening here in the UK I have five kids the only one thats farming is my youngest daughter, and she is milking cows in New Zealand. I own 250 acres and only earn enough to keep me going!!!

I’d love to farm but how do you get into it without being a millionaire. it’s extremely hard. maybe stop building homes but that would require county’s to denie money

I live on the East Coast, what is drawing all of these people to move to Idaho? I thought the flyover states were emptying out with everyone moving to the coasts. Didn't realize that Idaho was experiencing so much population growth.
