Twin Falls has also wiped out a ton of family farms & is on the verge of connecting to the filer border & building HOA subdivisions. We need farm land (not necessarily dairy's) to continue.
@jeffreyhanna9538 I have (currently living in an HOA) neighbor from hell. He thought/thinks he can dictate how thing's should be (how he can have control of the irrigation water, tell us to remove an "ugly" stump (that's near his driveway), or how he could do it for us. I'd rather live next door to a dairy (I live south of 1 & south east of another & lived near other's at our old place.) They are WAY better then this new neighbor is. We need farm's not subdivisions.
Your planting houses and giving our water away. Add a little salt and pepper it's still hard to swallow. NO FARMS NO FOOD HOPE YOU LIKE DUST AND BUGS!! OH YES eating the grass lawn your growing!!!
It's not that they're losing interest. Its the costs... who would want to take on a life long loss for the government to benefit?
You learn how to run it as a proper business, not as a generational debt. They have lost interest, many, instead of looking at ways to improve it.

@glennschlorf1285 yes to an extent we do. But idaho already has a ton of dairies. There's a few sitting empty. They need to improve their dairies.

Not all old farmer's want to pass it to their kid's or grandkids, they'd rather sell it off to a developer.
