    Everything is beautiful and I can see why you love Art Gallery Fabrics! The Davenport dress is gorgeous and I chose to
    mention it because it’s a newer pattern so I haven’t seen any others yet. I look forward to your next more summertime fabric 🥰

    Pretty makes! I made a Helen’s Closet Ashton top last night after work. From choosing the fabric and cutting the pattern to completion it probably took me 4ish hours. Hopefully the next one will go even more smoothly! Love the pattern and the tidy finishes. The fabric is a black tencel twill. Lovely but SO UNRAVELLY! Thanks for another video :)

      Thank you! I like the look of the Ashton top I'll have to make one one day, also love Tencel fabric and have been thinking of getting some for some trousers, it's good to know that it's unravelly! Thanks so much for watching x

    All your dresses are beautiful and if I did not have enough summer dresses I would be tempted to make similar. I agree with you regarding pushing yourself into more difficult sewing and I am trying to copy the grey Attico dress that Clare Chanelle showed on her channel. I am making it in a different colour and have no pattern as such but hacked one that is vaguely similar.

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely have enough summer dresses but dresses are my weakness in sewing I think! 😂 That dress sounds lovely I’ll have to look up that channel. Thank you for watching xx

    • @evanick823
      @evanick823 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SecretLifeOfASeamstress Unfortunately the Attico dress did not quite work. The top is quite a lot wider than the bottom and overhangs but I could not quite create the same effect. Maybe difficult to explain without seeing it. best wishes

    I can't choose a favourite as I love everything you've made during May! I really want to sew the Carolyn PJ's, the Sudley and the darling ranges dress! I will definitely get the darling ranges one done this year though as I've been meaning to sew it for so long now. I love the fabrics you've used too xx

    Another set of beautiful makes! I am one of the people who asked about the fabric you used for Kimono Tee, so thank you so much for following up and suggesting the great alternatives :). I recently purchased the Carolyn Pyjamas pattern and look forward to trying that pattern out. Your set .is beautiful. I love the fun fabric and the piping makes these pj's so special. I am getting ready to cut out my fabric for a Sudley blouse using the same white cotton fabric you used for one of yours (with the scalloped embroidered hem). Fingers crossed that it looks half as nice on me as it did on you!

      Hi Maria thank you so much! I can’t believe how hard it is to track down that fabric I should have bought more 😂 I’m sure you’ll love the Carolyn PJs when you make them it’s such a great pattern. Your Sudley top will look amazing I’m sure, that fabric is beautiful and it’s probably one of my favourite tops. Simple but easy to wear. Thanks so much for watching xx

    I love your Carolyn pyjamas, the pockets look like they are supposed to be like that. I'm making the Marigold jumpsuit for my daughter for her Primary school prom. She's a real tomboy and doesn't wear skirts or dresses.
    Then I'm hoping to make something from my Breaking the Pattern book, as I got it for my birthday last June and haven't made anything from it yet! Maybe the Saraste top, as I love the frills on the front. Look forward to seeing your finished Lyra dress xx

      Thank you! Yes I am secretly pleased with how the pockets are I guess you could say it’s a happy accident 😂 I have made the Marigold trousers but not the full jumpsuit- a great alternative to a dress though! I have the Breaking the Pattern book too and I’ve not made anything yet I think I liked the look of that blouse too. Thank you for watching. Xx

    Hi…. Love the pjs !! Wondering what that cording looks like when you buy it? I need some but I’m not sure. My pattern just says “cording” 🤷‍♀️/ love you makes !!

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! Cording would usually be the cord inside the piping I think. If you buy ready made piping it looks like bias binding with some cord sewn inside it. I hope that helps :) xx

    I love all your makes and I see you do buttons and buttonholes. I have a question about where the button should be sewn-in the middle of the hole or closer to the top? You wouldn’t believe how many I’ve asked that said they didn’t do buttons.

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! I much prefer buttons over zips any day but I know some people are the other way around. I sew my buttons in the middle of the hole I think that’s the correct way 😊 x

    Hi Sally, thanks for another brilliant video, your makes are all lovely. I watched your video on AR format patterns but not quite ready to have a go yet. In fact I’m only just beginning to use PDF ones and was wondering if you have any tips? I use my iPad to download patterns but can’t find. away to just print out my pattern size! Do you know if this is possible on an iPad please and if so how? Thanks again, love to watch your videos!

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kay thank you so much for watching I’m glad you like what I’ve made. No worries about the AR app it won’t be for everyone I don’t think. I’ll have a think about the PDF tips, I know that only some pattern companies have the option to print a single size only and when this is the case you’ll need to download Acrobat reader it’s free. I’ve only ever done that on PC so I’m not sure if it would work on iPad but I guess it would xx

    I am really enjoying your videos especially your sew along s. I am relatively new to sewing and was wondering if I can ask a question.
    Do you think that the darling rangers dress pattern is a suitable pattern for double gauze fabric please.?

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for watching I’m really pleased you’re enjoying them. Yes I think it definitely would be suited to double gauze, it would give a softer shape and I would definitely interface the button band because gauze can stretch out a little xx
